cold call

I too am on the National DO NOT CALL LIST. I hope this would save me from sales calls, lo and behold it didn't, and this company is trying to sell me something I can not use.

THIS CALLER WAITED UNTIL I SAID HELLO AND THEN HUNG UP WITH OUT SAYING ANYTHING. LAST WEEK THEY CALLED AND I SAID NOT INTRESTED.TODAY IS 2 /24/2010  705 PM. IS WHEN THEY CALLED. I AM ON DO NOT CALL LIST. START SUING THESE PEOPLE AND THEY WILL STOP CALLING . IF OVER 3 CALLS YOU CAN SUE  THE TELEMARKETER.SOME ENERGY COMPANY

Three calls today from "Florida Energy Audit" starts out "I assure you this isn't a sales call..." BS!!! They do an "energy audit of your home" then try to sell you a new HVAC. I am on the national Do Not Call, I am a renter not a homeowner, and I told the four callers last week to leave me alone. They are relentless!

Is there anyway anyone knows of to get these guys shut down or fined?

They did exact same thing to me.  Thanks for your report.  They also came up with a differnt number 407-334-6728.  same company of den of thieves.

Don't bother blocking their number. They will just call you from a different cell phone tomorrow. Here's what I do: I let them give their entire speech, then I ask them to repeat it from the beginning. After they repeat it, I ask them to repeat it again. (Keep making excuses like someone interupted you in the background.) By the time they have repeated it 3 or 4 times, they will hang up on YOU! My record is getting one to repeat the monologue 5 times! Beat that! lol

Not real thrilled with this one - called me on my home phone and 30 minutes later on my cell. I will block the # now that I've read all these comments.

this person has called at 2 days in a row at different times, today they called my home. When ever i pick up and say hello they dont answer and hang up. If i call back it goes to voicemail and the voicemailbox is full.

Everyday they will call you from a new number (they may take a day off). It's been going on for nearly a month now. Get used to it or change your number!

I got three calls today (two within 10 minutes of each other with the same cell phone number, how do they accomplish that?) They are all from this number -- the tenth in a week. What good is the Do Not Call list if they call and there's no effort to stop them?

This number shows up as a florida cell phone on my caller ID. I have received calls from this number at different hours, but so far they
missed me. I think they are scammers. I also received other calls from different numbers telling me they want to do a survey to see if I qualify for $4000 energy credit blah blah blah and I just hang up on them. I heard on TV that this is a scam.

Just got a call from this number.  This is happening all the time!!!  I'm on the DNC list.  I suggest reporting these number to the FCC.

These guys are thieves! "Energy credit" is an excuse. DO NOT let them in your home.  Don't tell me i did not warn you.

Lousy robo-call, girl finally came on the line and started the typical spiel - although I heard her say she was calling from Southeastern Energy Distributors.  I'm on the do not call list, so these calls REALLY annoy the crap outta me.

They don't say anything.  Always call at the most inconvenient time, really annoying.  I call back and their voicemail is full.

Telemarketer

I just got one of these.  I picked up during the third ring and got a busy signal.

During prime time TV too.

Tip: Pick up the phone but do not say anything.  Pretty soon someone will come on the line and tell you they are from the Florida enery council and want to see if you qualify for a $4000 federal energy credit.  

I told them I was on the do not call list and she said since they were not telemarketers they were not subject to the do not call list.

Told them to take me off 'their' list.  Fake home energy audits are a good way for theives to check out your house to see if you have anything they may want to come back later and steal.  Came up as a local area code 407 but the ID said 'out of area'.

they just call and don't answer. and their voice mail is full.
