How to Complain

Filing a Do-Not-Call Complaint

In addition to complaints alleging violations of the national do-not-call list, you may also file a complaint against a telemarketer who is calling for a commercial purpose (e.g., not charitable organizations) IF:
The telemarketer calls before 8 AM or after 9 PM; OR
The telemarketer leaves a message, but fails to leave a phone number that you can call to sign up for their company specific do-not-call list; OR
You receive a telemarketing call from a company that you have previously requested not call you; OR
The telemarketing firm fails to identify itself; OR
You receive a pre-recorded commercial message from someone with whom you do not have an established business relationship and to whom you have not given permission to call you.

How to File a Complaint
You can file a complaint by e-mail (fccinfo@fcc.gov), telephone 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) voice or 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322) TTY, by fax to 1-866-418-0232, via our electronic complaint form at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm, or mail. For the FCC to process your complaint you must either fill in the electronic form completely or otherwise indicate:
your name and address;
the home phone number where you received the solicitation;
identification of the individual or company whose products or services were being advertised or sold, and any phone numbers included in the call;
a description of the call;
any phone number provided to allow you to ?opt-out? of future calls;
whether you or anyone else in your household gave the caller express prior permission to call;
whether you have an EBR with the caller (specifically, whether you or anyone else in your household made any purchases of property, goods, or services from the company that called, or made any inquiry or filed an application with the company prior to receiving the call).

Ok, reporting this same problem. On this sight all I see are people complaining about these calls and I agree, they are annoying BUT is there a solution to how WE can stop them from calling 2-3 times evey single damn day? A solution, anyone?

"Florida Energy Program" - refused to give their actual name or address, only identified their location as Orlando.  Claimed to be working with local utility companies to perform an energy audit.  Most likely trying to set an appointment to sell overpriced radiant barrier or solar hot water,  Will report to FTC since I'm on the Do Not Call List.

answer the phone and sound all excited keep em talking for a long as possible, a long, long time. tell  sob stories, tell fictitious personal info. you get 10 points if you keep them on for over 10 minutes. tell em you want the appointment today, going to europe tomorrow and OMG you want to save money on your electric bill.waste their time. when you sense its time to quit ask "oh did i mention this call is being recorded and do not call my number again" and i do record my calls so as to have a perfect recollection. i really hope they call again...lol

This number calls twice daily.  I just don't answer.  How can we stop this?  It's very annoying

I have received so many calls from this Kissimmee based number.  I said I was not interested, but I still receive calls.  I called the "corporate office" and left a message to be put on the do not call list,  but the calls keep coming.  How annoying!  I tried to look up the phone number but couldn't find any information.  It is ridiculous that companies can call you without identifying themselves.

Told me they work for Progress Energy and then called me a f*cking a**hole and hung up... She is soliciting for solar panel installation....

calling every hour for the last three days; when i call back also get message corporate office with no other information.

Also called back this number and got cheap "non corporate type" voice mail stating "corporate office" with no other identifying information.

Same thing here.  I advised them I was on the federal do not call list when the originally called, then i get hang-ups now.  Apparently the connection software knows the do not call status, but the automated dialing software does not.

They called today, left no message and when I called back, it says they are a "Corporate Office" and put me on a voice mail. Annoying as hell.

They are an "alternative energy" group that says they will come out an do an "energy audit".  It's all a sales gimmick.

they say they are with American Energy group, have gotten about 10 different calls, all different #, same name in the last month, I keep asking to take my name off their list.  Always say they will.
