SCAM text mesage from vtext address asking to call. debit card scam. Fake.
ignore, delete.
| Kelly 2013-04-05 13:28:57 Unknown |
Received text that read "DirectExpressCard" and to call 407-308-0201. When call returned there was a message stating that due to technical error my recent mastercard use did not go through. Automated response told me to put in my 16 digit account # and the card would be reactivated. I don't have a mastercard and had not used a debit or credit card recently. These scammers need to be stopped.

Please enter your 16 digit debit card number." What a bunch of scammers!!

Recv'd txt msg: "From 703615@vtext.com (State Department FCU) 40406xxxxxxxxxx Blocked due to Fraud. Call 407-308-0201. Apr 4 2:51 pm"
I do not have an account with the State Department Federal Credit Union.
Given the other reports here, this is obviously a tolling/phishing message.
| Tash 2013-04-04 18:45:27 Unknown |
Text message said it is from the State Dept and that my number has been blocked due to fraud. I didn't call the number, but I assume it would ask for my debit card, as others have stated. Just deleted the text.

Got a text message from 206276@vtext.com saying my immediate attention was needed. Call the number they listed 407-308-0201 and got what sounded like a computer simulated voice telling me my debit card may have been compromised and to update my information I was to press 1.
