??? prank call ????

I just got a call from this number.  Caller ID said the phone number but had a 11 in front of it. They asked for my husband by name and when I said he wasnt home can I take a message for him, they hung up.  I keep trying to call it back(with out the 11) and it keeps ringing busy.

This number is being spoofed....Brighthouse confirmed I have 407-324-0660 blocked but it is coming through anyways. Caller ID is not showing actual number calling.....

I just received the same call. It's annoying and I'm even constantly updating my number on the do not call list. Ugh!

Received the call today.  Nothing but annoying music.  Hope someone is on the other end next time.  I have a shrill whistle laying beside my phone.  If someone continues to call after being told not to, I warn them that the next time their number shows up on my caller ID, they will receive an unwanted blast.

Just left loud music on my answering machine!

She told me they were Energy One and would be in my neighborhood doing energy audits to help us get rebates from the power company. I informed her that we work for the power company and are aware of all the things that the power company offers. She sure was in a hurry to hang up after that.

I received a call from this number today, but there was nobody on the line.

I also employ the strategy when I know it's a telemarketer to say nothing, leave the phone on my desk, and carry on with whatever I'm doing - preferably listening to music or watching tv.  The person on the other end keeps saying "hello" until they finally hang up.

I got a call from this number and it was left on my voice mail and was only some weird music.  I would like to know who left it.

Interesting...I found the 407.324.0660 listed on PeopleSmart.com as belonging to the following individual: Debra A Cowan, 74 Lee Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137-9745.  Not sure if she is actually the putz behind this Energy Power 1 scam or not, but she will be receiving a letter from me in the not too distant future.

I get a call from 407.324.0660 every so often.  But as with every "Unknown" or "Unidentified" call I receive (depending on my mood!) I pick up the phone, say nothing, and wait before someone speaks.  Once I hear a voice on the other end, I simply put the phone down on my desk and wait a couple minutes before hanging up.  I figure I might as well take up a little of their time too, since they are so intent on stealing mine.  Other times...I answer and rip them a new one!

Thanks Matt!  Found similar info on another site.  You're right is a scam.  I called SECO energy and they no nothing about these people either.

Caller ID says: Energy Power 1

I answered and the female said she was scheduling my "Free Home Energy Survey" because they are processing rebates for my local power company.

Ca­lled Progress Energy and they said there is no rebate being offered by them nor are they affiliated in any way with Energy Power 1.

I have reported the phone number to the National Do Not Call list as all of my numbers (cell, home phone) are registered and "Energy Power 1" is nothing but a scam/sales call.

I would suggest others do the same as it will get very costly in fines for "Energy Power 1" or they will shut down quickly for fear of being caught.

Caller ID says "Energy Power 1."  Other sites say this is part of a scam.  they go by different names and numbers and keep switching numbers if you block their call.  they say they are part of a non profit company to save you money on your energy bill and that they can get money for you from government sources.  Don't know much more.

This is a scam.  They claim to be doing free energy audits so that you can get a rebate from your power company.  The power companies adamantly deny any association with these "people."  If you block one of their numbers, they call from another number.  I asked to be removed from their list 2 months ago and I still get calls.  SECO and Progress energy say there are no rebates.  I answered this number and the woman called herself Jane and said she was with Energy 1.  I said, "everybody knows you guys are a scam, why don't you give it up?"  She said, "cause we makin lots of buck."  Then she hung up.  Be careful.  There are very unscrupulous people out there!

Called them back 6 times leaving a message every time. Finally told the machine I will begin flooding the number with 1600 calls per hr if they call me again(nice computer feature to have for annoying companies.) LAdy finally answered and said they were an energy co. We are on a Do-Not-Call list(which we pay for) and told Sheniqua to take me off the list. We'll see.
