When you receive that kind of calls, don't press anything. When you press on a number, they could get all of your informations and charge you on your telephone bills. Be aware of that. I'm working in telecommuncation and we received many calls from customer who did that and been stolen by them

I received a call from caller ID PCI 407-/327-9008 on 12/13/2013 at 2:06 PM.. When the answering machine activated, they hung up. I called the # back and was told to enter my account #. I have had no association with this business (PCI). Please share this to encourage reporting.

Received this call on 12/13/2013 from PCI, it is a recorded message stating that you can lower your interest rates on your credit cards and to please press 1 and hold for the next friendly customer service rep. When I did that it hung up on me, so I guess there is no friendly customer service rep to speak to!!!!

I declined the call. Always will. Obviously some scam or other, as no one calls me from FLA ever. Please, just HANG UP rather than harrass the poor souls who get stuck with this job or none at all.

Right on!  Listen to this guy, folks!

Responding in ANY way confirms it to be a working, answered phone number.

I, too, use an inexpensive (about $60 from Amazon) call blocker (http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Call-telemarketer-programming-accidental/dp/B00E914II6%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAISBUZSMZE33AZSSQ%26tag%3Dmoocra-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00E914II6) on the phone line, plus my Panasonic cordless phone set (http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-TG7645M-Bluetooth-Cordless-Answering/dp/B004NBZDSG%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAISBUZSMZE33AZSSQ%26tag%3Dmoocra-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB004NBZDSG) has a call blocker feature.  Thanks to these, in the last 48 hours I have seen about 4 calls on my Caller ID that never actually rang my phone.  This number (the one you looked up to get to this page) was one of those.

It's a shame that we have to deal with this crap, but welcome to the real world.

Pressing 1 and talking to a person just confirmed to the robo-caller that you (1) have a working phone, (2) answer said phone, and (3) are willing to waste your time talking to the caller, even if only to complain.

So if they can't make THEIR scam work, they can at least sell your working and answered phone number to some other scammer(s).

I recommend NOT pressing any buttons -- neither to talk to a person nor to be removed from their calling list (yeah, right!).  Just hang up.

With a little luck, maybe that big new NSA data center out in Utah is being built to deal with all this.  And in that same vein, maybe I'm Santa Claus...

Rather than just cuss them out -- although I certainly understand how that might make you feel better -- why don't you talk like an old man/woman and ask them lots of information. Say you're interested in what they have to offer but have lots of difficulty hearing them, remembering your account numbers, etc. Keep them on the line as long as you can. The longer they are tied up with YOUR call, the few others they can try to scam. Think of how much better you might feel knowing you did some good saving someone else some grief. Then when they finally give up on you, you can hang up your phone with a sh**-eating grin on your face. If they spend so much time on each call that their productivity goes down, eventually it won't be as profitable anymore and maybe they'll move on to something else and leave us the heck alone...  Just a thought.

Got a call from 407 327 9008.  Just a recording.  When I called back, just a message to put in my account number.  I put in random numbers but nothing happened.  Anyone know the thieves who own this line?  If I find out anything else, I will re-post.  Best thing to do may be to drop a line to your Congressman.

Thanks.

These scum just called.  I never answer these calls.  They are identified on my TV and Caller ID as PSI, whoever they are.  This is the first annoyance like this we have had for weeks.  I will happily block this gang, and its a pleasure to do so.
It is nice and quiet around our place with our new phone that makes blocking this type of caller so easy.  Please report this type caller to the "Do Not Call" people.  The Gov't people can't possibly take off chasing after every report.  They just wait and watch, and one day, these clowns will be put out of business.  It happens.  And for Pete's sake, do not let these calls ruin your day.  A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO  YOU ALL.  And a "Happy Whatever Else" you celebrate.

This scum called with machine and told me "this was forth and final notice about my credit card". I pushed one to talk to someone knowing it was a scam, but I want to start a criminal record for the people who steal from old people and young stupid people who do not know any better. I told the lady I was very concerned about this being my last opportunity and she said she did not need my sarcasm and hung up. These people know exactly what they are doing. STEALING. Identity fraud is number one crime and hurts people on job and ability to buy anything else for many years. We should all try to stop this from happening. Does anyone know how to start going after these people? I want to help because after my dad died, the scum came out of the dirt to hurt my mom.

No it will not do any good.  The DNC list is a permanent list.  Once on it,  always on it,   unless you contact them and opt out or change your phone number for any reason.   When you re-register,  all you do is put your number in limbo until the next list is made available 30 days later.   All re-registering does is create more work in updating that worthless list.

As long as you pick up your phone........you prove that there is a 'live body' (victim) answering their call.  Quit answering the phone for numbers you do not recognize.  Wise up.
