I don't pick these up, but at least we know the trash that works for these scammers aren't on the street mugging old ladies full time. lowlifes working for even lowerlives.;-)
This was the second this week, the other was the your computer has security issues scam. Picked that one up, so mentioned what a piece of garbage one had to be to be engaged in this. Of course these criminal morons just need their next fix I guess.

My mothers name is Oleta Fuller and she is from California and snow birds from Main to New Brunswick Canada every year. She has no credit card but is still receiving calls from this number saying they want to lower her interest rates on her Master Card & VIsa. I know this is a scam because my mother holds no credit cards as well as the last time they contacted my mother here in Canada at a Candian # the caller called her a liar and asked why she was denying having credit cards that they were just trying to help her. Ya trying to help themselves to her personal information. Well Im not through with this number Iam going to start a legal process as well as contacting the Canadian and American networks about this number and the scams they are attempting to pull on my elderly mother. SO WATCH OUT BOYS YOU JUST CALLED THE WRONG PERSONS MOTHER IM COMING AFTER YOU!

Told me he is from Visa and that this is my last change to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I did receive a letter from my bank about a month ago that I qualify for a lower interest rate and at first did not suspect anything. He was very convincing with his story. However, when he asked me my credit card number "for security purposes to make sure we are talking to the correct person" I told him I will rather go to my branch and do the necessary paperwork there.

Told the guy pressing 2 to get off the call list was an invalid response. He asked if my phone was ok. I said yes, then asked him if his was ok. He said yes, and I said I don't think it is. Dropped the F-bomb once after accusing it of harassment. Dropped it again a few times about how giving me the option to opt out of robo-calls peacefully only to not be able to use that option was frustrating. Told me that's not how I should speak. I told him "Take me off the f*cking call list". He actually said no before I raised my voice, repeated myself, and hung up.
Pam, I love you and I'm calling that number.

I got a call from this number. No message left. It can only be a scam if they don't leave a message.

Got a call from this number and it was a recording stating that they were calling about my credit card and that this was the 2d and final call. Just hang up. If you can reject or block the number, do. It's a scam to obtain your credit card number by conning you into thinking you're lowering your interest rate or making a payment.
Linda Corrie 2013-10-03 17:17:15 Unknown
Like others, I got a recorded message about a 'final notice' on my credit cards' interest rate. I did not press 1, did not continue.

After googleing these numbers and verifying its a scammer, I add the number to my contacts with a first name of "Spam" and set the ringtone to Dennis Leary's "I'm an a***ole" chorus from his A***ole song available here... "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrgpZ0fUixs"

(407)435-4855. I receive calls from this number but I don't answer and they won't leave a message. I have been getting unwanted calls from this number as well as Caribbean Cruises scammers at (412)430-5580 and (651)333-4176. I wonder if somehow these companies can get the numbers of prepaid phones. I recently switched from a contract phone to a prepaid phone. I NEVER had these unwanted calls before but now I get them constantly and I see from the message boards that many of us are getting these on our prepaid phones and not our contract phones.

I have a cell phone like that, it is an AT&T LG phone. Unfortunately it is my trac phone they are hammering with these calls.
lcs 2013-09-17 00:46:18 Unknown
That is sketchy, since most credit cards have at least a 15% + interest which is low. part of it is an interest rate the credit card company offers, and it usually is part of a total interest rate based on the market. I have one that has 7.9%, + the market rate 8.1% for a totally of 16 % on purchases. Never heard of 10 %, and if that is an amount offered, that is a low rate, not a high. Definitely a sketchy call, and the person doesn't know much about credit cards and fees.
lcs 2013-09-17 00:40:31 Unknown
I occasionally receive reduce interest on credit card, calls on my land phone, but this is the first time I have received them on cell phone. This is a new trac phone, so it is weird that they got number so fast. They must use something called predictive caller. It is a system that places like colleges etc set up to call mass amounts of people. You enter the numbers, and it dials, if someone answers, then a live person can come on the line. While they are talking with you it dials the next number. This makes it so that they can make several calls at once. With colleges, they usually are looking for students to offer scholarships, or are looking for legitimate donations to the college. unfortunately it is not easy to track, and several lines are used.
lcs 2013-09-17 00:35:04 Unknown
I don't know how it works with cell phones, but with land phones you can have calls blocked. I use to have verizon wireless, and I was able to go to my account online and enter numbers to block.

Send off this info to the FCC (Federal Communication Commission). Not sure what they can do to stop it, but they might be able to investigate it. ???

I did a search and came up with a name Michael Mcbride in Orange City Florida, but that is all I got. It is a cell phone bouncing off some towers in that area. It said AT&T was cell phone carrier. Unfortunately it could be a prepaid phone which makes tracking it difficult.
lcs 2013-09-17 00:20:18 Unknown
It is a mobile phone and bounces off various cell phone towers in the area.
