Repeat calls - spam

It is an ip hack on you phone DO NOT ANSWER TO IT AGAIN

got a missed message.......always busy on call back.   mystery caller???  9/26/13at 4.59pm Ca. time

I got a call two time in one day from this number and don't want them to call again.

This number calls everyday and hangs up..its a Florida based number so, Im sure its a scam.

missed call, they left 2 voice mails nut nothing there.

Noticed a missed call - it didn't show up until a day later; probably my archaic phone -- but there was no message.

Just got called three times on my cell phone and they hung up. I'm on the national do not call list.

This number called a Federal Do Not call cell number here in San Jose at 10:30 am today.

Must be robo call - busy each time.

Unknown caller.  Think its spam

Phone rang, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, call back is a busy signal.

Must be somebody trying to make quota on how many dials they do.

Got the same call.  I have an ap called calls blacklist and put that number in there.

got a call from this number and they left no message.

If I have time to waste I try to see how long I can keep scammers like this on the phone.  When it's time to provide my credit card number I tell them I'm disabled and it will take a couple of minutes for me to get my walled and credit card. Then I put the phone next to the computer speakers and play some porn sounds from the internet.  The longest I've gotten them to hold on was 13 minutes, about 10 of that with them listening to porn while I'm off in the next room.

1)  The "Do Not Call" registry works ONLY with legitimate telemarketers.  It has no magic power to stop scammers like this.

2)  A scammer may spoof the Caller ID so the number you see being displayed is not the actual number that is calling you.

It's basically useless to text a scammer because the odds are that the caller ID has been spoofed and the text won't actually reach the spammer.  

Go ahead and report the incident, though, even though the number is spoofed.  I think it's important that we keep reporting these things.  The FCC knows the numbers are spoofed, what helps is if they keep getting reminded that people are not happy with these scammers.

"I trust no call from Florida."

Just because the caller ID includes an area code that doesn't mean the number is even slightly legitimate.  

It's possible to "spoof" the caller ID.  

A scammer can have any number he wants displayed on your caller ID. For example, he could display the name and main number of the Mayo Clinic, Bank of America, the Jeopardy TV show, the White House, etc..  

So we can't assume that if we call that number back we're actually calling the number of the scammer.

Continued calls then hang ups

If you haven't figured it out by now, the Do Not Call registry is a joke. Telemarketers dont purge their lists. They're not afraid of being reported because they spoof their call numbers and no one can find them

Answered the call and then hung up on me. When I tried to call them back I got a busy signal. On the Do Not Call list.

I just received a call from this number, no message left.  I attempted to call it back but it stayed busy.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST as well.

I got the call and got a message that the mailbox was full when I tried to call back.

the same phone number and no message!!

Called 2X. Did not leave message.

Vacation winner from Florida

I get daily automated messages " to get ready for the fun in the sun". My phone is on do not call list, but that does not help. Very annoying phone calls from 407 459 3521.

Received a phone call from this number. No voice message left. And my number is on the DO NTO CALL Registry.
