Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Charles H. Bronson on Thursday announced the arrest of an unlicensed Central Florida telemarketer who had been charged on two previous occasions with the same offense.

Bronson?s Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement arrested Joo Yin Han, 36, of Maitland. Han was booked into the Orange County Jail on $2,500 bond on charges of:

? Operating an unregistered telemarketing operation

? Employing unregistered sales agents

? Issuing a worthless $5,000 check he sent to the Florida Division of Consumer Services earlier this year for a fine that was assessed in connection with a previous unregistered telemarketing business he operated

Authorities allege that Han was operating Resort Traders Inc./Global Investments Inc., located 8421 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, when he was arrested. The business nor any of its sales associates were registered, which are both third-degree felonies.

Han was arrested on similar charges in January 2007 and again in March 2008. He is currently on probation in connection with the previous arrests.

Same as everyone else !! I'm all the way from Quebec CND and also got a call on Sept.25th 2008 from a gent called Martin Cadeau ([removed:lang]!) from RTI Travels /phone no as 407-285-2089 and his agent no was 1450. He said I had won an 11 days all inclusive package to comprise a 4 days 3 night stay in a 5 star hotel in Orlando - Celebration World Resort and a 3 days 2 nights stay in the Hilton at Fort Lauderdale and finally a 4 days 3 night cruise to Nassau. Bla bla bla. He also then put me through to this Joanne who said she was the verification officer,([removed:lang]) and confirmed all I had to pay for was the $598 with a Visa card. Lesson learnt

I would also appreciate any advice as to whether the $598.00 US. or¬ $630.00 CND can be recovered. Please let me know where I can find this Nicholas Han !!

Company is a scam.  Do not cash any payroll checks from Han Global Investments or do business with this company.  I came accross this website after researching the company to attempt to recover money owed to my company for worthless payroll checks cashed by their employees. This guy Nicholas Han has an extensive criminal record & various civil lawsuits against him regarding fraud and issuing bad checks.  Payroll checks are worthless & vacation packages are a scam.

i also worked at "RTI TRAVEL" on 87 west michigan st. off of orange ave. in orlando FL, i had just moved from NEW JERSEY and needed a job, so i applied with this company, i have worked in many different offices in the past but none like this one, after 2 weeks of working with them i get my first check and i go to cash it at a check x change the bank had not money, i thought that was weird, so i waited until the upcoming moday to cash it, okay it got cashed, but then i start hearing rumors that this company is a scam. i had my doubts by the way they handled the buissnes, the "managers" didnt tell the customers their real name ever. So i did a little investigation and what i come to find out is that in the web address they  give you theres no ordering links, so i read their terms and conditoins and also find out that this website is also a FAKE its illegaly copied, this is what i find...------ "Terms & Conditions
This Website (?Site?) PTPorlando.com is a registered domain
name, fully owned, operated and trademarked (?Mark?) by PTP

mailing address at 2441 Bellevue Avenue Extension Daytona

I had a similar experience. I received a call from a man, he said his name was Jason Harbon and that he was calling to tell me that I had won a Prize Vacation. This vacation was not totally free. It was for four persons and together we would pay $598.00. However, the offer seemed good enough to make the fee of $598 seem negligible. Among the places on our itinerary were the Bahamas, Hawaii and Orlando, Florida. At first, I was very sceptical but he kept giving what seemed like facts so I did give him a friend's Credit Card number.

Later that day feeling suspicious, I called the number for my friend, the phone kept ringing. a few days later I received a busy signal from both numbers.  My friend was given a confirmation number RTI1900.  Not being able to contact them, she checked her e-mail for the information sent by Jason and she forwarded a message stating that she no longer wanted the package.  Even that e-mail was deleted somehow!!

They told her $598.00 would be charged but they posted $613.72 to her card. Can anything be done to recover the monies and have these people locked up??

Later, after not seeing an email which he assured me he had sent at least three times, I asked him not to use my friend's Credit Card as I was getting one of my own and would inform him when I received it. He agreed to this. Then I called my friend and told her of my change of mind and asked her to have her card blocked to any charges. Unfortunately, there was some misunderstanding and the card was not blocked

I would appreciate any advice as to whether the $598 can be recovered.

I got a call 2 weeks ago from a lady called Shai from RTI Travels she gave her phone no as 4072852089 and her agent no as 2567, she said i had won an 11 day all inclusive package to comprise 4days 3night stay in a 5 star hotel in Orlando - Celebration World Resort and a 3days 2nights stay in the Hilton at Forte Lauderdale and finally a 4days 3night cruise to Nassau. She said all i had to pay for on the cruise was alchohol and purchases made at the boutique and that all meals taxes and ground transportation was covered however i had to pay £598 with a Visa card. When it came to taking payment i told her that i had an account in the US and would like to pay for the package in USD she said it was better to use my UK card because if i made payment from my US bank account  the bank would think it was fraud. I then told her that my UK card was not visa but Maestro, she then wanted to know whether the card started with the digit 4 when i said no she said she could not take a payment from this card and that the card must be a visa. I told her that my visa card did not have any credit on it and that she would not be able to take any payment, she said she would take the details and run it when i had made some payments. She then put me through to Joanne who said she was the verification officer, she said they would call me back in 2weeks to take the payment and she gave me a confirmation no. Since after reading the the comments above i have tried to ring the phone no i was giving by Shai and guess what? it went through to a voice mail message. This is definitely a scam!

For Legal reasons i can not give my real name, but i too also worked for this company for a short term before beaing released for speaking my mind on how they was defrauding people to purchase these vacations packages and telling them that they had a certain time to review that package and return it if they was not satisfied with it but that was not the case they never sent the packages out and never returned the money that was taken off the credit cards.  Once i became vocal and started tellin people of the fraudulant activities that this company was performing i was let and i was glad that i did.  I sent a email to the state attorney general office to investigate this company and to come to find out they never had a lisence for telemarking and also all the payroll checks would bounce the bank and Nick Han would not honor them he would just blow Amscot off and leave the bounce checks to the employee to take care of.  and now they have moved to a different address in orlando off of orange ave but kept the same phone numbers THIS IS A LARGE SCAM AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD THEY WILL KEEP RUNNING IT TILL THEY CAN CAPTURE A PAYMENT.  PLEASE HEED MY WORD THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND THEY HAVE SEVERAL NAMES THAT THEY WILL USE WHEN THEY CALL YOU

I worked for RTI Travel but quit because they are frauding people out of their money and telling them that their vacations are free but it's not. They owe alot of people money because the people canceled their trips that they were suppose to receive but RTI wasn't giving people their money back. When people call RTI to tell them to stop calling their phone RTI says in their own words ''F*** WHAT THOSE PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY AND WE'RE GOING TO KEEP CALLING THEM UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO GO ON VACATION''so I couldn't stand working their anymore and who ever is getting calls from RTI please REPORT them because they just want money. They have false checks thats why I quit to because the're tricking people. I received a call at 7:30 AM this (Oct 16, 2008) morning from someone identifying himself (when asked) as Karlos Rochester or RTI Travel, claiming that I had been recommended by another traveler for a trip to Orlando.  I do not remember all of the details, but it was supposedly worth about $3000 and the caller among fifty people selected from such recommendations.  After several minutes of spiel, the caller told me that the trip wasn't actually free but required $598.  During the conversation, it came out that I could call back to 407-472-7480 x215, which is the reason I am reporting it here.

Although I do know some people who took a cruise to the Caribbean recently, I immediately regarded this call as suspect, partly because I am already on the national Do Not Call registry.

we had the same experience and we also live in the bahamas. a women called named jennifer and said we won a vacation cruise for 4 people, all we had to pay for was the taxes ($598) and we could hold the tickets for two years. she explained we could go anywhere that this discovery cruise line went or something to that effect. i tried to call the number back and of course the first time i got a message box that i could leave a message and the second time i called someone answered and put me on hold for "jennifer".  needless to say, we are not partaking in this "free" cruise.
