Have received numerous calls from this number, (407) 476-0024.  Now I reject them.  I have reported it to the "no call list" but as usual, to no avail.  This no-call-list sounds like a big government waste of money.  It is likely that there is a big bureaucracy behind it, but they do nothing to protect consumers.

Stop calling me. I don't even live in your area and can not send anyone any money.  I understand that it is the sheriff's association or scammers.

Why do they and other pests keep mucking up my phone line?  Thinking of disconnecting phone but cell service is iffy at best.

Same A-Hole is calling from 727-848-3838 ID Thrifty Car Sales Port Richey Florida. WCS is what shows on caller id. I have spoken to 4 people that have been HARRASSSED by this FRAUD company!!! (I was also called by that same WCS 407-476-0024#. Please keep records of these creeps invasion of your privacy & peace. Oh, & please do not call back numbers you dont know, without blocking your ID (dial star 67, and wait for 2 beeps) BEFORE you call back ANY number, & PLEASE,PLEASE, Dont leave a call back number!!!  I am working on finding these scumbags, I DO beleive that there maybe MORE to this.

I am SICK & Tired of this WCS ID # 407-476-0024 call, BUT ALSO WCS ID # 727 848-3838  a Thrifty Car Sales 9226 US 19 Port Richey FL Call over & over, I talked to others being harrased the same way & I DID report this to the FBI websites to (what I consider FRAUD) I was asked for (overtalked, ignored, my decline for donation)  For Firefighters,Police, and one woman I spoke to, sales of an alarm system!) I beleive that this WCS CREEPS are using Elderly people to extort $$$. WE ALL NEED TO START TO LOG & REPORT THIS!! (even to local police for records) I will keep in touch, but this is becoming a full time job to try and find out WHOM in our government gives a crap!!! I guess its OK for a car lot to call for fireman/policeman donations? Or maybe to sell an alarm system? WHAT THE H?

This is a FOR PROFIT call center.  They "take on" any contract they can.  If they say they are calling on behalf of your local police, fire, cancer, etc.  what they really mean is we have a contract with this agency.  We'll send them a little bit of whatever we collect BUT we also have a minimum clause.  If we do not collect at least a specified amount, we'll send nothing to the alleged charity.  They have an almost limitless set of phone numbers they can call from.  They may or may not be calling from the US and the money you give them may or may not stay in this country.  They can be in India, Pakistan, Africa, anywhere at all.  The so-called charity they collect for may not even exist or may not exist in this country.  These are all telemarketing companies who "laughed" when the DO-NOT-CALL legislation was passed because it excludes "charities."  If my favorite charity contracts with these groups I immediately drop that charity from my gift-giving list.  That's the only way to put these scum bags out of business.  They seek only to make huge profits by exploiting legitimate charities and kind people.  Don't fall for it

I'm suspicious, the same guy has been calling over the years for various groups. I know his voice he is rude, arrogant, and pushy. I've seen this attitude before...in unions. That had me looking at my "fundraiser call list", the common thread is that the groups he calls me for are all represented by unions. So, what are the chances that the donations are being used to re-elect obama, directly or indirectly? Its a fact that the unions are donating a lot to him. Do what you want but I, for one, will not give one dime to any organization that operates under the unions while asking for charity!
Also, the calls to me are always higher in election years...sounds plausible to me.

If you are getting calls from the a*holes just block their calls. They are not going to stop if you tell them they have the wrong number, send them them a certified letter, report them to do not call list or report them to your attorney general.
If you have a home phone all you need to do is get a phone with caller id block. Uniden and Panasonic make them now. The uniden I have does not even ring once, just blocks their calls. If they call on your cell and you do not have caller id block, just save them as a contact and set their ringtone to no ring.

Yes this number calls me alot, sometimes it says the Sheriffs dept looking for donations, today 19th March 2012, it just said hello, hello, hello !!

Continues to call, leaves no message, does not answer when we picik-up the phone, and do not answer on returned calls. Have put them on call blocking.

Caller ID = WCS, line clicked to a "call center" background noise, then clicked again and cut off.  02/25/2012 @12:30P.M. 407-476-0024.  We will be watching our accounts to be certain there is no thrid-party change resulting from this call.  It has happened before.

I just received call from WCS at phone # 407-476-0024 and he wanted me to donate to the Sheriff's dept. I said no, I just retired and have no money and he kept saying well just send us 25, just send 20, so I finally got rude and said 'I told you no, so no, no, no.'  Can't stand pushy people but I see now that it is a scammer so will stop being mad at the Sheriff's dept :)
