i was told that if you get a call from one of these companies, just press and hold the #key for a few seconds and this will throw your phone #  out....haven't tried this yet.

I received a call from this number.  They said "I like w***es"

WTF?

i just received a call from 407-476-5545 on my home phone. I called them back from my home phone and reached an automated message saying: Hello and thank you very much for your call. In order for us to handle your call properly, please call back from the telephone number you were originally contacted on.. then there is a busy signal.
Geez.. I did call back from the telephone number they contacted me on. IDIOTS!!!!!!

I got a text from 407 476-0194 might be the same scammers

Live person said he could lower my home loan interest.  Told him I don't own a house and don't have a mortgage.  Then he wanted to talk to me about their other programs.  Said I was on the do not call list and to take my name off of their list.  He said "I can't do that".  Filed a complaint.

I got a call from this number also. It was about an old debt that didn't get paid.  I'm making payments to pay the debt off. So,, that is it.  I'm sure they'd harass me if I didn't want to pay it, but of course I do. If that's why they are calling you, just pay your debt off.

telemarketer...keeps calling...similar area codes, slightly diff #s each time

Yeah they call my phone all the time so today I picked it up and tried to hang up to disconnect the call but it would not disconnect. They are going to lose their a** when some poor soul dies because they were unable to call 911 because the damn call wouldn't disconnect.  The idiot named Darrel that finally got on the phone gave me the number to a male enhancement call center when I asked him the number of his workplace, (guess he has some issues can't believe he got that number mixed up with his work number and he knows it by hart). Anyway I told him I wanted to speak to his manager. He then told me he was a manager, so I told him I wanted to speak to his manager and the freakin jerk hung up on me.

I've probably received 50 calls from that number and a host of others using the same message on robot dialers and  the same script if you get a live scammer after pressing the appropriate button. Being retired, I have plenty of time to waste their time. I string them along (Wow! I'd LOVE to get a better rate! Tell me MORE!") until they request a valid credit card number so they can check my credit. I ask, "Have you ever heard about the FTC Do Not Call Registry, a**hole?" and hang up.

HAVE BEEN ON "DO NOT CALL LIST" FOR LONG TIME.  THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING TO THE POINT OF HARASSMENT.  (AT LEAST 100 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR).  WOULD DOUBT THEY WOULD BE HONEST ABOUT THEIR REAL NAME OF THE COMPANY

The Do-Not-Call list is useless, they have no means of enforcement.  Better to fill out the online complaint form with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints concerning a certain number, - they will act.

I have received a lot of these recorded calls regarding lowering interest rates on my charge cards.  The caller's  name on my caller ID says Lower Interest.  The message includes an option to press 3 to receive no further calls from them, and when I press 3, I'm instantly disconnected.  But they keep calling anyway.

This number has been 'out there' HARASSING people since FEBRUARY and the FEDS have NOT taken ACTION against it yet?

Said "LOWER INTEREST" on Caller ID so KNEW it was ANOTHER CREDIT CARD PHISHING SCAM.

Picked up/hung up without answering to break the call and hopefully 'confuse' the robodialing computer.

EVERYONE ON THIS SITE needs to FILE A COMPLAINT with the DNC LIST  **IN ADDITION** to 'complaining' here.  THIS site is good for Info and a place to VENT, but does NOTHING to help STOP these calls.  Even though the DNC List is FRUSTRATING, it is our ONLY LEGAL RECOURSE.  The Feds must get a certain minimum number of complaints before they can 'act' on a number or a 'company'.  Besides, IF and WHEN a Class Action Lawsuit comes along about these calls or any one number calling, that will be the way to 'prove' you got the calls in the first place.

Check to see if your phone company has call blocking. Try dialing *60....if you hear instructions for blocking a number you're set. Of course you only have a limited number of blocks (we have 11 numbers we can block) and most of these scammers have multiple numbers they call from so it's kind of a losing situation if they have more than you can block.

Someone please get this number out of my life.

I live in PA too so if you can give me the "how to" on filing suit against these horrible companies, I would be grateful.

Have been getting this calls off and on for MONTHS.  Today 6/8/2012 - THREE TIMES.  First came from: Vo60810052500160 (makes no sense)  Second was from CARROLLTON, TX:  1-972-300-0001 - spoofed number that goes to a FAX MACHINE, and then one that actually came up as "Lower Interest" 1-407-476-5501.  A**holes.

Why would anyone want to give them your credit card number??  Do they want to charge on it?? Are they really want to lower my credit interest rate??  They don't even know if I have a credit card.  or do they know if I have out standing charges.   If I pay my credit card up every month, I don't care what the rate is, now would I.     I just don't trust them.

Just got a call from this number. spoke to a rep and told him I don't have any credit cards. He apologized for the inconvenience and hung up before I could ask him to stop calling me. Comes up on ID as lower interest. Yesterday and several times over the past couple of weeks, the same company called from 253-382-9099. I opted out earlier this week by pressing 3. It doesn't work. I filed a complaint last August with the attorney general's office here in PA when they kept calling from 775-277-0131 and kept getting argumentative and abusive with me. I have been harassed by these scammers for years! I have an unlisted number-for several years now. I don't own any credit cards anymore. The attorney general's office advised me they were unable to help because they didn't have enough information, so I filed another complaint yesterday cross referencing my previous case number and providing several other phone numbers that these idiots have used to call me since the last report. I will file another complaint today using this number. I hope this helps someone.

I keep receiving calls from this number several times a week.  I have caller ID so I don't answer it and I'm on the do not call list, which is a waste of time.  How can we stop these people???  Sick and tired from Montana..

harassing phone calls I've tried to stop for  MONTHS.  I've hit prompt  '3' to stop  but the calls continues. today I asked to talk to a supervisor and they hung up.  I've asked them to stop calling before and they say 'sure ' and hang up without asking any info.  they also harass my mom on a weekly business.

You can not call back the number this seems like unrealistic 'advertising'.  Can someon e tellm e how to stop this and put them out of business.

This company is very dishonest - they are red-flagged with Discover...they take advantage of the elderly - My grandmother was scammed for 793.93 one call (she thought she was talking to Discover) and when we had card disabled ...they called back and this time even bolder identified themselves as Discover Member Services...and wanted to verify her new card (I was listening in) I told them to go bugger off...

I just spoke with the FTC, and they are aware of the company, and that it is a scam to steal your identity.  Supplying the info to the DNC list is a waste of time as the DNC list does not take action against scammers.

LOL, Why didnt Obama sign the "Truth in Caller ID Act".  Its been sitting on his desk since 2009.  Because they are all in it together.  Have a little fun with them. They get pissed at me. I love it when they call.  Gave one a new number to call. It was the local FBI building.  Told them to ask for Mr Zimbelist, Jr. The moron said " Thank you very much". Then blocked their number. LOL. LOL. LOL

On the second call I got from these idiots today I decided to speak to a live person and once again ask to have my number removed (have asked in the past only to be hung up on).  I got "Robert" who is a real charmer.  I said he wasn't allowed to call me to which he responded "I will call you all day long if I want to".  He then told me he wanted to talk to me because I have a sexy voice.  I asked to speak to a supervisor (knowing this wasn't going to happen) and he said they were all at lunch.  I said I would wait and he hung up.  "Robert" then called me back 5 minutes later (and there was no automated mesage ths time, he called me directly) and when I asked him what company he worked for he asked me "what size are your breasts".  He then asked the same question again but in more vulgar terms.  I hung up and he hasn't called back since.  I don't like that fact that this lowlife now has my name and number and is doesn't seem like there is anything I can do about it.

Live Operators will ask you for credit card Name and Account numbers and expiration dates. Do you have account balance?

They must do this just to annoy. It is a different phone number same message every day. I block one and then they always call from another spoofed number. It is the same one going on for years now.  We have to make spoofed calling illegal.  Your call will not be completed with a spoofed number!  I have to wonder why they would keep doing this.  Do they think after years of spam calling I will suddenly wake up and say YES I really do want to lower my interest rates...why didn't I listen before.  Oh my god please stop! Of course it is just computers and they will never listen but it feels good to at least say something.
