It should against the law for a person to call another person by telephone just to sale somthing or solicit from them.

Called at 8:30 am.  Did not answer as is my practice on such caller ID'd incoming calls.

Unless your are really stupid do not answer calls from criminals. If you do not know who is calling it is a criminal. Do not answer calls from criminals. They call looking for stupid people to answer. Your are the stupid person they are looking for. They will be out of business if no one answered these calls. Do your research it is only criminals calling you trying to get information from you so they can still your money. They want credit card numbers or anything you stupid people who answer give them.

Got call at 8:17p on Sept 18.  We are on the DO NOT CALL list.  Identified was C4C FL State.

Caller ID said Florida state C4C. Didn't answer call and message was not left on machine.   I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS I DO NOT RECOGNIZE.

(?FFU?), and Feature Films for Families, Inc. (?FFF?) ? all are located at the same address, where they share personnel, equipment, telephone lines and numbers, Internet domains, and other resources. Baker uses these corporate entities to produce and market DVD films and to conduct telemarketing campaigns. In other broad-scale telemarketing campaigns, C4C made millions of calls to solicit contributions for groups characterized as police or firefighter fraternal charities. In its telemarketing calls ostensibly for police groups, C4C told prospective donors that their contributions would pay for law enforcement training, bulletproof vests, assistance to families of officers killed in the line of duty, and similar purposes. In campaigns for purported firefighter organizations, C4C represented that donations would be used to assist needy firefighters and victims of fires and disasters. When consumers asked about what proportion of their donations would be used for marketing, rather for the stated charitable purposes, C4C misrepresented that only minimal amounts went for telemarketing. In fact, most of the money raised through these campaigns was paid to C4C and other for-profit entities, while only15 to 33 percent went to the named organizations ? and hardly any of that money was used for the purposes that C4C had touted to donors.

Just got the same call but did not answer phone and they hung up after 2 rings. Last
night my husband did answer and said would send a deputy over to pick up a
check. He said no and hung up. Don't fall for this scam.

The police department does not ask for donations......report this to your local police dept.

I know what you mean.  I get calls from everywhere including and not limited to  The Assoc for Abused Women.
The do not call list doesn't apply to charities or non-profit.  Go to the DNC/FTC site and Read.

If u answer and they claim they r FOP or Firemans assoc lookin for money... Do what I do.. Tell them to send in writing and I will take care of it!!  I too am on the "Do Not Call!!" list....BUT yet I get calls from everywhere including but not limited to the assoc for abused men....AND if u get mail (charge card offers, life ins offers etc) just write take off mailing list on the app.  Put in their postage paid envelope and mail back to them.  They'll get the hint!!

This idiots keep calling and calling. All hours of the day and night. Since they are obviously based in Florida perhaps a complaint to the FL Attorney General's office is what it will take to get them to stop calling.

When it's telemarketing calls for any kind of Law Enforcement, we simply tell them that our son works in law enforcement and we know their organization is a fraud and that the police departments never get that money.   Then we tell him that when we contribute, we give it directly to the police department our son works for.  NEVER VIA PHONE CALLS.  The caller always hangs up.

Forgot to mention that this number  407-476-5530 showed up on Called ID  as "Fl  State  C4C".  Does that mean anything to anybody out there?

man called from 407-476-5530 at 9 pm.  Asked for "Thomas".  I said "just a moment".   When Tomas answered, the man hung up.  Very suspicious.   Made me wonder if he was trying to determine if I was home alone.  When Thomas hit 'redial', a recorded message identified company of some kind of  "Performance Inhancement".    When I called the number back, the recorded message was from "Breast Cancer Fundraising".  When I Google it, no one can find the number.   Does anyone really know who this number belongs to?  It's got to be Telemarketers.  Can anyone help  get it stopped?

A guy called saying he was with the Fraternal Order of Police, looking for a donation, buy my caller ID said FL State C4C. I interrupted him and told him not to call me and that I was on the Do Not Call List. He continued his speech and I told him to stop calling and I hung up. My phone number is on both the FTC Do Not Call List and the State of Florida Do Not Call List.

They should know that this is the way NOT to get money from me.

This number calls me three to five times per day,never leaves a message,extremely annoying and I am register in the no call list.

Got a call from 497-476-5529. The call ID (but not clearly) seem to be some kind of law enforcement. He said," I won't take up much of your time". I asked, where are you calling from? He said thanks for your time and hung-up.

Its 8:25pm, they just called. There was no caller ID. I let the machine get it and they did not leave a message. Thanks for the info on the C4C. I have been getting harassed by these guys in one form or another for a few years now.

I recvd a call from this # 407-476-5529, that showed up on my caller id. I did not answer the call because it said it was from the state  of florida, which I thought was very odd that the state of florida would be calling my number especially on a government holiday (Labor Day). Working through the State myself, I have the exact same holidays off as the the state of Florida.  This is definately a scam and I do not want these people call my number ever again.

I received a call @ 5:40PM on 8/31/12. Caller ID said Orlando, Florida.  When he asked for my husband by name I told him he was not in and Who's calling? When he said he would call back later at a "more convenient" time I said No, please remove this name and number from your calling list.  He said he would take care of that immediately. I said "Thank you."  If the telemarketer calls back, my screetching fax machine will answer the call.

I am using my Call Blocker feature on my phone.  You can create a list of phone numbers that you wish blocked.  When they call, they hear a recording saying that you are not taking their call.  You can also activate it right after you are disconnected from the annoying caller.  My phone rings constantly with these calls.  There is also an FBI Cyber Crime website where you can enter a claim for these callers who are harrassing and clearly trying to scam you.

Got call from that number.  Said they were from Fraternal Order of Police.  Don't trust that. I have a relative that's a policeman and he says they don't make calls like that. Told them it was a scam and not to call me anymore.  I'm on the Don't Call List.  Can't these annoying calls be stopped some way?

I get calls from C4C almost every day.   I just checked my caller id this morning and they called again at 7:34 pm last night.  They never leave a message.  I can't wait to be home the next time they call as I will string them along and then give the caller a nice blast from my air horn.
