got call today says from irs and owe backtaxes recording

keeps calling i tried calling back but it dont ring.

Tried calling this # back...does not ring and I have no idea who this is!

receiving phone calls from # 407 476 5532 . it is Rachel from cardholder services calling. after I call back on this number and then selected option 1 ( remove my phone number from your list) this Rachel started calling  me from my own number!!!

Some ne called my mother in law @ the house phone and she don't know who's it is so I called it and it won't let me speak to no one so we are trying to find out who it runs to

Also, I've read other reports that say  you can get the same results with an app from google. Don't have any experience with that but might be worth checking out.

I get calls from 'Rachel' several times a week. If you push the number and nicely tell them that you are on the 'do not call' list, they hang up immediately. @MARY:

Saw this number and "Valbuena" on the caller ID.  Though I'd check it out.  Folks, I'm telling you, get one of these caller ID interceptors.  This call and all others just like it NEVER get to ring through.  In addition, all they ever get is a continuous ring...they don't get me or my answering machine.  This thing holds 270 numbers.  You can either block out specific numbers or you can set the thing to let only those numbers you want, ring through.  More than worth the 70 bucks I paid for it.  Granted, it seems unfair that these scam artists are allowed bother people but if we all block them, they'll eventually go out of business...think about it.

James, what is the point in having a phone if you can't use it?

There is a real easy solution to this problem, DON'T ANSWER YOUR PHONE. If you don't recognize the number don't answer, it's that easy folks. First the calls will decrease and then they will stop. The first time you answer you validate the number is valid and they won't stop. You don't need air horns or magic beads just common sense. I get the same calls like everybody else but mine have just about stopped because I don't answer. I used to get a ton of these type of calls but my "no answer" policy eventually works.

Take a step back and look at the big picture.  You usually can't call them back because the phone numbers they use evaporate as soon as they hand up and if they do answer, the opt out feature never works.  But they're going to keep calling you and that is their only weakness.  Go to Walmart or any sporting goods store.  Buy a canned air horn from the boating department and set it beside your phone.  Next time the robo machine picks your number, press 1 to speak to a rep and as soon as they answer try to blow their eardrums out the other side of their head.  This is our only defense.  I horned Rachael at Card Member Services once then I put the phone back to my ear.  She said in a very angry voice "do you feel better now?"  I replied, "not yet" and I horned her again then I hung up on her!  What great fun.  The calls will never stop but at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that when the call is over, the person who called you will be more pissed off than you are.

I, too, am sick of these calls.  I actually pressed the number to talk to a live operator.  As soon as I said "I keep getting these calls over and over and over again",  and then, clcik, she hung up on me!  How do I stop this?

I just received a call from "Valbuena" from 1-407-476-5532.  When the answering machine said "Valbuena" I didn't recognize the name or number so didn't answer and they hung up after just three rings.  I have been getting a lot of phone calls (automated ones) saying they can lower my interest rate down to 3% on my credit card but when I call the credit card company they say they do not make those types of calls.  I have been getting these calls around 10:30am cst.  The issue I have is that my phone number is *unlisted* so who are they getting my number from??  I just want them to stop!!

This is the same scammer who keeps calling using different names and numbers, claiming to be from Cardholder Sevices. This time Caller ID says "Valbuena". Can't someone stop these people!

Received three phone calls from the number, did not answer, they didn't leave a message.  I redialed the number and a recording told me I had been conctacted for telemarketing purposes.  Then, I was given instructions as to how to have my phone number put on THEIR do not call list.  Let's see if that works.

they call everyday and if/when I answer the phone there is no one there.    I am on the do not call list... national and florida.

I get a call from the Famous Rachael at Card holder services, every other day, their number changes all the time. Getting sick of thease calls, they start calling after 9am, somethimes 8:49am, and will call after 9pm, sometimes.

Please put me on the DO NOT CALL list.

It was the famous "Rachael at Cardholder Services"  this must be their latest number.
