It's a collection agency.

Wow, these people are unbelievable. I rec the same phon call with a threatening message to call them with my lawyers information. Wen I called back, I got a vm to leave a message. Who are they kidding?? Alos, IF you are going to threaten me, you may want to learn to speak english first???

The man told me that my friend Kristen took out a payday loan and used me as a reference and they are coming after me for the amount of the money that she owes. He told me to get a lawyer and go to court because I owe them the money since they cannot get ahold of Kristen. He claims that he is a lawyer from the FTC.

I have been receiving these phone calls today. Supposedly my friend used me as a reference for a payday loan and now they are coming after me for the debt. I called the federal trade commission and they took down the information and filed a consumer complaint. If you have not done so the number to call is 877-382-4357. I hope we can catch these people.

Received the same kind of call about an hour ago (and they're calling again as I type--how interesting).  When I checked my voice mail, I heard a woman's voice give the same barely intelligible scripted message.  Sorry to inform you "Officer Kevin" but I've worked with the FTC regarding these scams and they'll pursue shills like you once I file a grievance.

Scripted voicemail about an urgent matter on hand. It is the same scam going on about taking a payday loan and not repaying it. Scam written all over it. The phone number listed on caller id is 970-172-816, not enough digits for a real number.
