To late for me, I did owe a Cashnet USA money on a cash advance I got, but I had only owed them $200 but these people Griffin Bel and Brenda Santillan wanted $412 from me in which I paid. Because I thought they were calling form CashNet USA. I feel like a fool now. I paid them all of it. Now when I call and ask for some type of paperwork showing I paid them off. There supervisor or managers are busy and he can not forward the call to them it just ring and rings... I called them back, saying faud, scam. Now pickup that message...

Jennifer, so you are saying you paid these people and they gave you a receipt? What did you pay them for? Did you have an outstanding pay day loan? I am curious because they almost got me. I researched them on the internet and decided it was a scam. Any money that I DO owe, is not to any pay day loan company that they mentioned. I am really curious as to what happened to someone who actually paid them.

Got a call from Barry Richardson said he was from the American Law Enforcement Department.  He had my social security number and place of work. He said i was the prime suspect in some lawsuit - he had a thick accent and it was hard to understand him. He did say that I shouldn't ignore the call as it would have serious legal and criminal consequences.  Very scary and these people have to be stopped somehow.

Investigative reporters found dozens of complaints posted on the internet over the past year about calls from the phone number 407-504-4095.

Victims claim the caller said they had to resolve a fabricated crime or debt by making an immediate payment using a prepaid card or face arrest. Some victims sent more than $1,000 before learning it was a scam.
The Ohio Attorney General says if you get a call from someone claiming you're going to be arrested, it's likely a scam.  When in doubt, hang up, and contact your local law enforcement agency for help.

Of course they are a scam.  These calls come out of India   where the Bombay Boiler Room Bandits make up their own Government entities.   "American Law & Enforcement Department".    Really :)   That's is totally comical.  Those foreign fraudsters ought to do a little more research before they make up these things.   I love their claim to get a "Restraining order"  against someone if they don't call them back within the hour.
When he told you not to interrupt him,  I would have started singing or reciting poetry.   My gosh,  I do hate those thieving basturds.

I received a call at my place of employment from a Rick Clark with American Law & Enforcement Department at 407-504-4095 stating that I was being sued by an Internet Payday loan company. He said before he could discuss anything with me that he had to read me a notice, in this notice he indicated a company that I have never done business with. I interrupted him and requested that he mail me a copy of the subpoena that listed who I was being sued by and the amount they claimed I owed, because as I stated I had not done business with the company he cited. He became very rude, stating ?he told me not to interrupt him.?  I immediately hung up the phone and began to research this company, finding out they are a scam and they need to be report.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.
