This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

There is a man that seems to be calling people and has for several years now stating a name of Jack Dawson and that he works for the Federal Trade Commision. He told me that there were charges pending against me for 3 different things in relation to a pay-day loan I took out and never repaid. Of course this call is bogus and I believe he was fishing for me to give him my account info so he could then clean me out. DO NOT SPEAK TO THIS PERSON OR RETURN THE CALL IT IS A TOTAL SCAM

I am so glad I just did a search on Office Jack Dawson because I too rcvd a call from this man stating he worked for the Federal Trade Commision and that there were charges pending against me for failing to pay back some pay day loan from  US Cash Advance. This of course is totally false, which I told him and I told him to never call my number again unless he wanted charges filed against him. He called me from a Florida number 850-910-8028. Total scam

Some Chick called from this number saying they had documents to serve. I don't know any document Server's that call first to check if you are around. Seems to me that is pretty stupid, Nothing like warning someone they have a summons or papers on the way to be served. They answer the Phone with different names to, Document Verification Service. Duh, I just have no patience for idiots like this..

OMG!! I just got a phone from Pennyslvania # 1-610-990-7855. The officer name is Jack Dawson. He told me that there was complaint filed on me for applying for loan online. That I took the money and my bank is insufficient. Really!. I did apply for the loan online but I have never got the money. Officer Jack Dawson have my name, address and social security #. I told him once I'd for the loan. Id look up information on customer complaints and its a scam. I told him I'm going to prosecutor loan names but he won't gave it to me. I told him to send me the letter once he prosecutor those scams and he told me he will. Now, I am looking him up and I found of Officer Jack Dawson. My first time trying to get a loan online and this is what happen. What is funny is that. I say, "you probably a scam yourself!' He told me I don't have to him an attitude and that he's trying to help me. I apology of course. Wow. I so thankful for all of your guys comment. If he ever did contact me again. I am going to ask for his location and prosecutor him. And yes, he have an accent.

I have gotten a text message from this number saying "best buy customer, youve been chosen for a 1k reward to use at any location. to claim go to blahblahblah, some bogus website. and then enter this 4 digit code" I dont know how they know im a best buy customer, or why the heck I am getting texts like this, but I just ignore them. So stupid. I wish there was a way to punish these scammers.

I received a very nice message from a man with a very heavy middle eastern accent. He said he was calling to confirm our 'appointment' the next day, but had me down in two differenct cities and needed to confirm.  I called the number back and the same voice answered the phone.  I asked who he was and he said he was calling from AmeriPay. I asked what that was and he told me that he was with the Sulfer company and that I'd made an appointment with a Michael a few weeks ago.  I told him again that I had no idea who he was, nor did I make appointments during the day because of my work schedule.  He tried to get me to confirm my address, but I didn't give it to him.  He was very nice throughout the call, and never mentioned loans or money or bills. I didn't give him any information because I have no idea who he is.

Recd call from Officer Jack about some lawsuit, someone was going to arrest you.   I hung up on them.

I keep getting the same calls different numbers and names all with the same story and wont leave me alone. Officer with a lawsuit against my name and case agianst my soical for payday loans. These people need to be stopped. They have been call me since June. Do not give them any information or money. It is a complete scam. They need to be stopped. Sometimes it William Morris, Kevin Peterson.

I had gotten a call from a guy stating his name was "Officer Jack Dawson" and that there was a lawsuite against me from some loan I didn't pay. I obviously have never gotten any loans like that and the scary thing is, is that he knows my social security number. He then threatened me that if I did not take care of this by a certain date then he would have people come to my house and arrest me... I have since gotten 3 other phone calls from different indian guys stating different names but pretty much saying the same thing. Do not fall for this crap!!! they are deserve to sit in jail and I wish there was a way to catch this criminals! I have even put my number on the "DO NOT CALL" list and they still call!! the next phone call I get I guess I will have to take to the police and see if they can do anything about this. I really hope these statements that we are writing make it to someone and have these people put away!

This guy with aN accent calls and leaves message that he was a police office and is going to put me in jail, then he leaves my SS# saying he's filing a lawsuit beware even if he's a bill collector he' and his company are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act by using threats and posing as  police officer, his accent sounds middle eastern or indian I wonder if the Department of Homeland Security needs to look into this?

I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM HERE WITH A JACK DAWSON STATING THAT I HAD
A LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST ME.  THE STRANGE THING ABOUT WAS:  First he said that I
had a lawsuit-- Then when I had refused to respond to further calls from him, he left a voice
message stating that he had my social and that he would be sending legal documents to a
officer that he is not naming specificallly.  The contradiction was:  A Lawsuit Filed for Internet
Fraud and yet legal documentation pending to be filed with an officer for criminal prosecution.
This man was a dead give away and needs to be locked up for Scamming folks out of their
money.  The biggest problem with him was not knowing the law...  Internet fraud is not a
Civil Suit...  It's a Criminal Offense!!  This company is absolutely BOGUS and needs to
be Broadcasted to warn the public.

Got a call from this clown saying he had a lawsuit pending on my name and social.  I had originally received the call on my home phone and now at work.  I called the law authorities and they took a report over the phone told him I had a lawsuit against him.  DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY THE TIME OF DAY...THIS IS A FRAUD.....

I received a call from this number telling me that Ameri Payday Loan had filed a suit against me.  He said his name was OFFICER Chad Dawson.  I asked for a badge number and he sputtered out he's an officer with the company but gave me a 3 digit number.

The thing is, this same person called me several months ago and said he was Joe somebody.  I have the phone message from this person because the police dept. in my town had to call them to keep them from harassing me.  It's the same person!!  Do NOT give them any information.  You should never give your personal information to someone who calls YOU.
