Received a call telling me I had won $250.000.00  but before they can send it...I need to pay the "taxes"
of $250.00. I told "Avalon"(the name that appeared) if he had this money for me....take the taxes out first and send me the rest. He said he couldn't do that. I had a few "CHOICE" words for him and hung up.

Yeah
Just got a phone call from them. She asked for my husband and said that she was just calling to welcome him into the program...What program?! Sounds like a solicitation to me. But I'm not really sure.

This call shows up on caller ID as 888-804-1698 - before the phone stops ringing - the caller ID changes to 407-549-3459 as East Coast Fire Pr (otection, I assume). Had it happened once, I would have thought it a weird coincidence, but this same combination has called three times in the last hour. (Didn't even know that was possible to do.) Curiosity won out, I snatched the phone up on the third ring and hung up after the third "hello," though I do think someone was responding just as I replaced the receiver.

I generally do NOT answer when I don't recognize the number. I pay for a phone for MY convenience, not to be solicited to purchase (or obtain "free") merchandise. When they want to start paying my phone bill, I will then open up my lines to these types of calls.
