They just called me about the wedding dress I posed on Craigslist.
This girl(or guy) said she had a car accident the day her fiance proposed, so she is disabled. That she can only do check payment through her carrier*. Its both disturbing to see a scammer using disabled as a excuse. And both disrespectful. Ugh. It makes me sick.

I just received a text from them too about my wedding dress. I replied cash only and pick up in person... these idiots never quit!

received call from this number....someone tried to scam me from my online business...this probably has to do with that...

When this happened to me the first time, I was sent a $6,695.00 certified check for a washer and dryer I was selling for $500, I immediately took it to my bank.  They will run the check for you and let you know if it is on a list of fraudulent checks that they have hits on.  NEVER...cash these checks because you will be responsible for them in the long run.  Just do what i do...I tell them that I investigate frauds for the government and they have been verified as a scam...

Well what do you know....I am in the same boat!  as a matter of fact, I'm texting back and forth with her as well about a wedding gown...I just let her know that I work for the federal government, investigating frauds!  wanna bet "she" doesn't text me  back?

got a text from this number about a wedding dress asking questions that could be answered on my craigslist ad. referred them to the ad 3 times before they quit texting. just posted an ad with their number to respond to. hope he/she enjoys that!!!!!

I just got a text from them about a wedding dress too. All the questions they asked could be answered by reading my ad on craigslist. I refused to answer any of the questions, referring them to the ad. Going to post this number on craigslist in free stuff. hope they enjoying that :-)

I too got texts with the same story for my wedding gown, which I'd listed on CL. She even sent me the fraudulent check. Now - what to do with it? The police won't help....
She says her name is Chelsea Bobowski.....But wants me to contact a shipper named Iris Guadalupe Mauricio at 8228 Casa Blanca Pl San Diego CA 92126
I'm not naive enough to fall for her scam, but countless others are.... Sad.

I got texts from this number today about a wedding dress I posted.  They started out asking about details that were listed in my original ad.  Then said they were disabled in a wheelchair because of an accident that happened the day her fiance proposed to her.  Then said she could only pay with certified check.  I ran the number through google and up popped this forum.  People are freaking low.  Don't trust this number.

Did you ever consider once the check is cashed all they have to do is pull your account number from the negotiated check. That's when they really will go to work on your bank account.

Person called to try and buy our truck, this is a fraud.  We had just listed our vehicle on craigslist.

I am getting the same messages and she is "in a wheel chair" same story.... Why would anyone want to lie like that?? Whats going to happen when this person does get put in the wheel chair. I told "her" I was tired of all the scams on craigslist and she claims she is a real person, but I just asked her why cant we just talk on the phone unstead of text and I get no reply.... If this is how craigslist is and dont care about the scammers I wont be using it, I am taking my dress off and I will not be back on there. I even contacted the police about one scam and they act like they have no concern... If someone is crazy enough or desperate enough for the money they may cash the check and then they get into alot of trouble.... This is not cool... Getting woke up at 5 in the morning with scammers text me... Who has time for this?? Not me!!!!!!

This person got my number from craigslist and "she" wanted to buy a wedding dress... but went on to say in a text that she got in a horrible accident and cant walk, but her fiancée loved her anyways... blah blah blah... she said she was from Washington DC.   She couldn't call me bc she was being discharged from the hospital.   Seriously?  C'mon, work for your stuff... and quit trying to steal other peoples information.  Good greif! Sorry POS.

Ha I just got text from that number regarding a wedding dress I have for sale and completely messed with them. Then they said oh sorry I am looking for a size 11. Really duh!

Got a text from this number about an item I was selling on Craigslist yet had no idea anything about the item.  Kept asking me questions that were already answered on the post. A few minutes later I received a text from another number with the exact same message. Total scam!

I too got a text from this # after posting on Criaglist. I always check online before responding especially when it appears out of my area. It is a scam & they will scam you so don't give them any of your info because if you do I will guarantee that they will steal your info or $$$$. I texted back that they are a scam & got no reply. LOL!!!!!

I was also selling online. When i tried to have the "person" call me they stated they were MUTE.
They gave no information about themselves (what city or county they lived in) and wanted me to give them my info.
They also requested i give them my email address to mail a cahiers check... FISHY !!!!
