I exeperienced similar first lady called me saying i have federal charges against me phone number is 1407-610-2794 and alter followed by 901-248-6986  .
It is unnecssary tension i think targettin Indian Gujarati people.
Be aware it is scam.

I got a call on 9/13 from 407-610-2794, then another call on 9/20 from 901-248-6986. First time it was from a lady, then second time from a guy. I had already done my research so I knew they were a scam. But on 9/20 I called them and cursed at them and that this guy could say to me was "I love you" !!!!!! What an a**!!!! Which federal officer would listen to my "f" bombs and then say I love you. LOL
I also passed the number to my husband, who called and acted dumb on the phone with them and then when the guy felt that he had almost trapped my husband, my husband gave them such bad Indian words that they must have not heard of.... I will be complaining about them and passing their phone numbers to friends who will just call them and curse... Lol

Same story repeated today, my 63 yrs father was called & told that $1800 is passed due in federal taxes.  If money is not paid through money transfer service in few minutes, police will come to arrest.  My wife actually got to walmart with cash & luckily called me before transfering money.  I google the phone # & found this post.  I asked het to STOP, I called that number.  They pickedup & edmitted to me what they were doing.  They are brother and sister, both spoke to me in fluent Gujarati.  According to them, which may or may not be true.  They are made to do this crime by people who brought them to USA illegaly.  They don't even know where they are & are treately very poorly.  They were promissed a nice job in India, & they are basically kidnaped here.  They cried to me, they get to speak with their family once a week, but family can't do much as poor, and uneducated. They have to earn certein amount of money before they. Are letgo.

I am not making this up, just don't know how true that story is....

Called us, telling us that it's a crime investigation and insisted to talk to my wife. Called us repeatedly. Persistent and would not hang up. Threatened to call FBI and report to local police.

He tried similar trick with me saying that I will end up in jail for some Federal crime and IRS has filed criminal charges against me. I asked for details and he narrated similar story. Then I said, He can do whatever he needs to do legally and I will contact local Police department for details. That moron asked me in rude manner " Lady, Can you spell Police Station?" . I said I am done with this talk and hung up.
Don't they  do their homework before calling people ? How stupid ? Even cheaters needs to use their brain !

Today I received the phone call telling me that I have outstanding state tax and if I do not settle them on the phone fed government will  send cops at my place... I asked the so called officer to provide me the details such as case number and charges against me...

key points to know that this is fake...
1. call is from fed gov and washington dc.. for a state tax... in USA state and Fed tax systems are different and they donot work for each other
2. Outstanding tax balance amount was wrong when I asked the officer to provide the exact tax amount
3. Ask them to send the cop...

when I called the number no one picked up the phone as it is magic jack number...

DO NOT GET AFRAID OR BOTHERED if you are told that cops will come and arrest you... this is fake and face them with confidence..

Got same scammy call: criminal action, blah, blah blah... First time, I picked up (without saying hello, etc.) Immediately called back. Note: 1) person trying to speak fluent "American" English 2) pronounced name in native tongue, properly...

I got the same call today and they said I had 3 federal cases pending against me and did the local police department contact me? She said her supervisor will explain everything to me. I told her there are no cases against me and if there are send it via mail and hung up on them. So this number and scam are still going on.

They got my mom on Friday, August 23, so the scam is still going on.  The FBI seems to think it is an FTC or FCC issue and won't be investigating.  I can't believe this scam has been going on since April and they're still using the same phone number!!

I got the call with same non-sense so I immediately googled it and found this forum. I was surprised that the so called "officer" knew how to pronounce my indian name in American accent where all americans fail and I knew that its a scam. When u call back it goes in the VM and it says that "hey this is an officer (no name)... Leave ur message". These guys should be put behind bars.

Received a voice message mentioning officer Tom Anderson from crime investigation department.  They are going to file a legal case against me.  Did not care to mention anything else and asked to callback.

I received voice message on my phone and very similar threatening message, criminal citation, criminal investigative office, return his call asap otherwise jail time together with all his legal fees. I knew this is scam. Because so many of our friends had similar phone calls and also I read a detail article in Indian news paper. Beware! This is a scam.

People from 407-610-2794 are SCAM operating from boiler room and full of sh-t. By statue, government does not make cold call to its citizens. I reported to FCC and other authority and told them stop calling my number. These are Indian B***s*** artist who also spoke Gujarati when I asked for his supervisor, Office Mark Thomas, Go to Hell, you deserve it.

this scammer targets senior who speak Gujarati. He said he was an officer and called teling my my old mother that she is behind and her tax payment for last 3 years and owes over $2800. She tried to hang up, he then starts to speak in Gujarati and tells her if she does pay the police will come to her home and ask for her passport, citizenship and confiscate them????
I called the # back and it went a VM belonging to some Officer...of CRAP!
My poor mother is so scared now.
Beware this kind of scam.And beware your personal information.

they been calling using majic jack number. about debt collection by credit card or they will send you to jail in and hour. its a scam. if you get phone call from this number call them back and say mathar chod that (mother *****) in their language.
