The Orlando Sentinel now forwards all calls to the Philippines. I tried 3 different local numbers and they all wound up there. The Sentinel has been calling for days (from the Philippines) without leaving the message that my bill was overdue. Evidently, the "leave a message if no answer" part of the training was never given. The Sentinel has been losing readers and some of them are probably workers who were laid off so more jobs could be sent overseas. Tribune Publishing should be ashamed.

I gave a kid $10 cash for a fund drive he was doing, I was supposed to receive three weeks of Saturday delivery. Three months later I'm still getting the newspaper and now getting these calls saying I owe $15 dollars. Don't care for the paper and care much less for the harassment!

This is how sad the print newspaper business has become.  Yes, this is a debt collector if you owe money.  I dont owe any money...and they still call asking me to extend and renew until I am receiving 3 papers a day for the rest of my life. I ask them their purpose and they claim to be in promotion and retention for Orlando Sentinel.

I ask...how are you retaining people by calling them day and night nonstop.   They have given me no choice but to cancel my subscriptions due to aggrevation.

Telemarketer for The Orlando Sentinel subscription. Funny I already have it, not funny when I'm asleep. I just called and cancelled.

I'd love to know why the Orlando Sentinel is calling me.  My husband signed us up for 8 weeks of Sunday papers... he already paid them, so it's paid in full.  We've only gotten the paper for 3 weeks so far.  If they are calling to bill me again OR try to get with with automatic renewal, they can kiss my a***.

It's the Sentinel.  They continue to call me and tell me I owe money, but every time it's a different amount.  I even asked the last guy I talked to to tell me how much I owe and break the number down for me.  He said I owe something like $43, but when he told me what everything was, it added up to over $50.  They don't have any kind of decent record keeping - and when I asked for an itemized statement telling me what was past due and what was coming up due, it sounded like I was trying to get them to walk across the Pacific Ocean.  They stumbled around for 10 minutes trying to explain why they can't do an itemized statement before telling me that Customer Service might be able to.  They told me Customer Service would call me.  They haven't, and now Billing is harassing me again.

It's the Orlando sentinel. They sent me a bill last month, but I completely forgot to pay up. Oh well! First call I got and they didn't harass me. I must be one of the few lucky ones.

I owe no one anything, so will have a great time jerking them around the next time they call.  They start calling at 8:15 a.m.  and call until just before 9:00 p.m. several times a day.  I don't answer but will the next time they call.  If they continue to call after I tell them to stop, I have  very shrill whistle lying beside my phone...

I called this number back and was told by the automated answering device that they are a vendor for newspapers, cable companies and utility companies whatever that is.

Thank you all for posting here. After reading these posts, I answered the phone "Orlando Sentinel, how can I help you"? Finally, someone spoke! OS wanted money for their automatic renewal for the paper. I explained- I paid by cash to avoid the automatic renewal and did not wish to continue receiving it. This was not at alllllllll acceptable. I was told I owe the money and he demanded my payment now!!!! He did not get it nor will I ever subscribe to POS again! Their circulation is down and subscription imprisonment seems to be the best way for their survival. Is a subscription supposed to be lifetime? Thank you again for your posts. If the harassment continues, I'll let you know.

I have gotten these calls twice a day for at least a week. A message is never left, and when I picked up this morning it was the Orlando Sentinel saying I had a past due amount and that several invoices have been sent. I have not received ANY. I requested that they invoice me again, and they said they can't do it from that office, but they can take a payment by Visa over the phone. That's great, but not happening. The guy was incredibly rude, and told me that my service would stop. I said that was fine, go ahead and cancel it. I informed him if he called again I was going to report his number.

Ok, I keeo getting these pain in the a** calls from this do***e bag.  Do not bother calling them back and leaving a message.  That will only make them call more and more.  This is what you do.  Call the Orlando Sentinel at 407-420-5000.  Explain what you are getting and the operator will transfer you to the appropriate department.  i talked to Joanne and told her the same thing that is happening to me like you others.  The Orlando Sentinel will then put you on the do not call list.  Hopefully this will make the do***e bags stop calling.

I keep getting calls from this number always saying they are the Orlando Sentinel and saying that I have a past due balance.  the thing of it is, I did not renew my paper this year and they tell me that I owe this because i didn't cancel my subscription, but I didn't renew it so why are they continuing to send papers and calling me?  They were very harrassing and rude and they call at all hours.  Oh and when we call the number back, it answers and asks us to leave a call back number and they will call us back at THEIR convinence!

Presumably the call is from Orlando Sentinel. Every time a woman with hispanical accent calls from this number and asks for Mary Nieves.
I recently moved and got a landline number besides my cell. My biggest surprise was when I got a call on the landline from Orlando Sentinel asking for -guess who?- Mary Nieves.
The fun part is also that mostly the calls were done after business hours, meaning that I tried calling back and got the answering machine telling me that there is no one there.

The caller is definetly not a robot, cause I talked to her a little every time before she hung up.
