| FEELING ASHAMED I GOT SCAMMED 2013-08-18 22:06:19 Unknown |
HI Ethan, if it's not a scam explain, how I got on my computer that I had won a $3000us shopping spree, ashopping sree to me is where i get the money to go and spend on what i want. WHAT I GOT WAS a discount to a trip i can't afford. I have to give creidt where credit is due everyone was lovely and friendly, your company is taking people's money were they can;t afford this. If it's not a scam advertise on a site that people are visiting who are acually wanting to travel and know the costs of what's to come.Do you have $20,000 -$40,000 to pay for this discount i have appartently won, because we don't. Do you have to tell alot of your children sorry kids this is not going to happen, when they are waking up and seen on the computer you have won money and a trip to disneyland and staying in the best hotels, daytona, bahama's and cost rica. What would I like , all this would be nice, but i would love the $3000us to buy the kids christmas and birthday presents, fix the car, pay bills.... This all happened at 5.30am and how come I can't ring my local number your company gave me it cuts off after 2mins. I told 2 different people i had no money and was told don't worry we will work it out. They approved money with i didn't and don't have...feeling really ashamed...

Ive read all reviews pertaining to people getting calls from preffered guest resort. Well I don't think I've gotten a call from cause I don't answer crazy numbers. But I've received a travel voucher in the mail for the amount of $1, 198 with my first and last name on it (odd). I called the number and a lady pick upand I read her the voucher number n she ask a few questions about my house hold and annual imcome n marrige status. Then I was told I qualify. Then I was told about the disney trip n other free trips but i'd have to pay $598 TODAY. Really? So I asked about the voucher n he said that is for airfare to get there. He didnt mention the voucher s t all I had to say something. So like what good is the voucher if they don't even reconize it during the call. So I said why do I have to just give u my money now way before I travel. He said to secure the hotel n that I can go wen I want within 1 1/2yr n that I just alsoooooo have to pay for taxs. So he told me the were bbb accredited so I saI'd then I can look you up to be sure that thus isn't a scam then. So he went on to convince me that they were legitimate n he stared to get a bit angry everytim evi said I was going to do research on them. The bad part is they didn't even tell me the company I had to ask. They said all the major air lines n hotels and website are affliated with them, usairlines is the name on my voucher so ill be calling usairlines to report this. But in the end of the conversation I just hung up. P.s he told me this a one time deal and if don't purchase today I'd lose the deal, today came to right now after I was iffy.

Just had the exact same experience here in NSW ..... April 2013. Pressure from two people. Neither listened to my reluctance to pay now with my Visa card. The holiday offer just kept getting longer and cheaper ..... down to $498 for 23 nights etc etc.....to increase the pressure. Red flags were flying so I opened another window and did a search for Preferred Guest resort Scams. My suspicions confirmed, I said I wouldn't pay today and he finally hung up. Beware!!!!!!

It is not a scam because we set up a legitamate package to orlando, daytona, and bahams..yes your accomidations are free...you are all told in the rules that you have to attend a timeshare tour at EACH resort. You agree in verifacation after they go over the rules to charge the 298..or the 398 so its not a scam go to besvacationsever.com type in your telephone number and you package is there I work for the company \...yes we talk you into it and yes you agree to it so dont complain..

How come you cant write with proper grammer? Why dosent your site have proper contact details? You are require by law to provide AT LEAST a customer ID number if asked for one. If you want to be a scammer at least grow a few brain cells.

Hi, There appears nothing has been posted since April 2011, I live on the Gold Coast in Australia.
I went onto the web into a site, that I play games on, and had a message in my inbox, and flashed up I had won $3,000 with Perfferred Guest Resort, towards accommodation for a trip to Florida,
I rang the Sydney phone number and was directed to Orlando Florida, I then spoke to a lovely man called Eddie, As I had problem with the 18mth time limit, he put me through to another lovely man called Ross.
At the end of the conversation I had 3 years to use the accommodation etc....7 day car rental, 2 passes to one of the theme parks, a dinner at sunset, a lunch and a breakfast for 2, a cruise to the Bahamas, all for $3,898, - $3,000 I won, so $898 for this great 15 nights help with cheapest travel, so sounded really good, I spoke to my partner and he looked up this site, as I had Ross holding on the phone, he mentioned it was a Time share, and also not the best service with cockroaches, etc... so we did not go ahead with the deal.
Who has been over there in the last year and got a deal like this ? Feedback would be great is this really a Scam ? Had I not rung my partner I probably would have done the deal !!!!

do you not realize that if anyone called you and lied to you on the phone that they got fired later that day all calls are recorded. PGR is licensed with the BBB since 2002. so look it up for your self.

Ye, I got an email just now with a clever message saying I had just 240 seconds to call for my $3,000 prize. Im not naive a bit, but I decided to call and see how this works, knowing of course its a scam. The guy was very convicing I have to say and quite professional. I played along for awhile and then started asking some questions. Like, where are you based and can you just send me my prize. This guy was obviously prepared with stock answers and tried his best to move on. I then, while he was talking at speed, keyed into my Google search engine "Preferred Guest Resort", the company he said he represented and was given lots of feeds labelled SCAM. I wasnt surprised, but its good to know that people post this boards to keep people informed. My general rule of thumb is dont think for 1 second that people give away prizes if you havent bought a ticket. Sorry for those who got duped by these low lifes, just life by the motto, " if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS.

Hi Ethan,
I have just found out my elderly mother paid 900 to preferred guest resorts. Are you telling me she can get a refund? If so how? Is there a number to call or an email address.

I have had a similar offer today offering $3000 off a Florida + package and spent nearly an hour on the phone! I stupidly and in good faith gave my credit card number before realising that so many questions were being asked with no verification forthcoming as promised! I hung up and immediately called my credit card who stopped my account forthwith and will send me new details! So far they hadn't taken any money but I'd agreed to £560 - I became suspicious at the length of the phone call and thought they were giving themselves time to debit my card by eeping me talking!! DON'T BE DRAWN IN PLEASE!! I just hope I've managed to stop everything in time as my credit card company cannot guarantee they have not already processed my account before they've blocked it!! I wish I'd looked them up earlier!!

Aparently they are now targeting Mexico, now they are using radio promotion so that you call the to a number its
01 800 6818170 (from Mexico) ... so as i listened the numeber i dial and i got answered the guy OMG they are calling me back rigth now!!! ok it stops, so as i was saying the fisrt guy offered me an entire pacage worth of 2100 US dollars to Florida including 5 days in Disney Orlando and 3 days in Daytona beach, rent car was included too, so after all the quick explanation of several details, he ask fot my credit card number justo to cover administrative cost otherwise i would be able to enjoy such a promotion... i say no so i hunged up...
after a few hours another person calls me back bus this time from a FL USA number ( 01 407 215 2099 ) this time her name was Libertad "something" , she reinforced the same information and insist that i need to give my info so as i doubted again i ask her to call me back in 1 hour to get the credit card info... this would give me enough time to check up if it was fraud or not, thank god i found this Blog, the funny thing is tht as im typing they were calling me back!!!
well thats all, remember now they are doing it trought radio stations in Monterrey Mexico... ( 102.9FM )
take care and watch out!

I work with a company that has ties to pgr and let me tell you they bring over 40,000 people a year to orlando not counting 27 other destinations. Obviously sometimes you get an a***ole simply because all calling centers are contracted out that's normal in this economy. You guys are a bunch of idiots, don't you know that your credit card protects you against "scams" like this.

This company has called my husband twice this week wanting him to book a 2 day 2 night cruise to the Bahama's, leaving out of Florida. Entire trip for two people $124.00 I told him it was a scam. Her name was "Lindsay"

Such a scam, and I fell for it! Advertised as "winning a trip" to Walt-Disney World in a Spanish speaking radio station. Didn't realize this was a time sharing whatever...They sounded so excited and telling me how I was one in 300 to win this fantastic trip. When I researched (after the fact), I called my bank immediately and sent them an email cancelling my contract. Fortunately, I did it the same day and it was that email that may save me. Once I received their package, I read in the back I have 30 days to cancel. I called immediately and the "customer rep" was sooooo rude and snapped that if I had called them immediately, they would have refunded me but I chose to call my bank and that it was going to take months now! I am patient, so long as they don't get my money!

The Summer Bay fraud ring has been operating in Canada, the UK and Australia for some time now.
Details fromt the Florida Attorney General on this type of scam, and how to file a complaint. Foreign nationals can and should contact the Florida Attorney General - it costs you nothing and will keep the pressure on them to shut this fraud down. They are already under some time of an investigation from the Attorney General Economic Crimes unit, but this seems to be dragging on for some reason. In addition, if there are any UK authorities that have the guts to do anything (most countries seem to walk away from dealing with phone scams from out of the country):

These low life's are now targeting the UK. With so much info: known about this pond life why hav'ent they been closed down? Come on US authorities, get your act together. It's not good for your reputation over here in Blighty.

They told me they were Preffered Guest resorts and his name was Kevin Brown. The name itself was pretty obvious! Anyway I asked if they had a website and he said he would get to that after his speel. I hung up after this and he promptly called right back.

Person called representing Wyndom Resorts. I was very busy and was prime dinner time. I hung up the phone and the "gentleman" called back two times claiming he was the local Pizza Hut and I needed to stop playing games on his phone and I was getting the pizza.

1.800.656.2780 PGR
One of the scammers "Legit" numbers!
If they want to call people and harass them, I say everyone whose EVER been harassed by a telemarketer call them a couple of times, hit a few numbers in their ear and hang up!
We'll see how much they enjoy losing money, while someone ties up their lines, and costs them staff salary for absolutely SWEET NOTHING!
I say we do this MONDAY MAY 16th 2011 at 7PM EST
It would be great to get enough callers to disrupt there lines capabilities!
Anyone who posts on other sites, please copy the message over!
Thanks

Kiet Luu owns a townhome in my community, MY building...he is the owner of this scam and his employees are criminals from the Sanford Teen Challenge center however they are late 20's to late 40's and all have been arrested for drug charges in the last 4 yrs. One guy now at this townhome, with 3 other guys, has been arrested 9 times! 28yo. Obviously drug abstention is NOT working. Winter Sps PD SWAT team etc did an all out drug raid and took 3 of them to jail with $10,000 bond each for drug possession.
They do not fit in this community and are a serious threat to my peace of mind. I don't think my HOA knows how to get rid of them. What should we do to get the owner to stop this bedroom-for-rent practice? Unit is for sale but unsavory with all the single drug addicts living there.
I WANT THEM GONE!
