Received a call from Hilda from Henderson & Associates dba American Life Insurance.  I immediately told Hilda that I wasn't interested in sales of any kind.  I asked if they reviewed my resume  Hilda claimed that higher mgmt Matthew Henderson asked her to call & setup an appointment for tomorrow @8:30 AM.  Hilda wanted to know if I had a reliable car & if I would pass  a background check & to dress appropriate & bring resume & references.  So glad I googled the company.  Thanks for the feedback.  Hilda called from 321-304-2548.  I called 407-682-7522 lvm stating I was cancelling appointment due to my research on the company.  Taking my resume off CareerBuilder.

I received the call from Nancy yesterday.  I was on the road and answered the phone just because I am applying to REAL jobs and didn't want to miss an opportunity.  She said they found my Resume on Monster.com, which I recently updated and that they had several positions including Management and Public Relations.  I accpeted the appointment for today at 10:15 am for the Public Relations position .  She did ask for me to bring my Resume and business and personal references with phone numbers.

When I got home and researched the name of the company she gave me, all the red flags were there.  I tried calling to cancel the "interview", but there is only a VM and I didn't leave any messages.

I am just not showing up to this "interview" or wahetver it is they are trying to do.

I just receive a call from Nancy @ 321 304-2582/I called back and no answer, mailbox is full. I also call career builder, the representative inform me that SCAM are out there. and that could be one of them. Nancy also give me the phone number to call back to 407 682-7522 if I have an question. she wanted me to bring resume and refer names and phones. and want me to be able to pass the state background.The person I am interview with is Mr. Karzek.

INSURANCE SALESMAN NAMED MATT HENDERSON RUNNING A SCAM FOR INSURANCE SALES FROM AN OFFICE IN FLORIDA. SCAM!!!

I just a call from the same phone number 321-304-2581 an that I would be interviewing with a Chad Mclaughlin in Melbourne FL. Also to bring a recent copy of my resume with references. The address given to me for the interview was 1101 W Hibiscuses Ave. I goggled the number an got American Life Insurance. I also got a call from a number 386-868-9059 for a company in Altamonte Springs.

I got a call saying they wanted to schedule an interview with me. I have applied to jobs, but not this one. I googled the company and it all seems to be a scam and have a bad reputation. She said the interview would be with Matthew Henderson, to dress professional and bring an updated resume and references. Address is 110 W Orange St Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. She said to the phone # is 407-682-7522, but she called from a 321-304-2581 #. Not going to that interview.

I just received a call and I thought he told me Anderson Group in Dundee and thanks guys or I would have wasted my gas.

I am so glad this website is out there. Julie thank you for saving me from wasting my day with an interview with this Henderson & Associates tomorrow. I have applied to so many jobs that I actually thought this was a legtimate company. I hate that these types of companies are out there taking advantage of people like me desperate to find a decent job. I am changing my resume on Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com from Public to Private right now.

They called me today. They got my number from Monster.com. They call themselves "Henderson & Associates".  They will be in Dundee at 199 E. Main Street, on Thursday at 10am thinking I am going to show my sorry self there for a 2 hour interview.  I am so glad the internet could provide the information to clarify that they are frauds.

This company called me requesting a job interview, though when i googled the company name and the number they called from, SCAM is what popped up. BE AWARE of companies like this. from my experience, any thing with "america or american" in the company name is usually a scam, tho sometimes they do offer base pay. i wish monster would set a block on any insurance companies. they are usually B.S.

glad these postings are here, I just got butt dialed by them. I picked up and it was just people talking in cthe background. Why can't they go bankrupt and put all those scanners out of business?

I got a phone call from this # 407-682-7522 claiming to be American Income Life. It wasn't for a job but instead she stated that the company would be in my area tomorrow (07/16/2010) and that the local police department has already paid for all of the children in the area to have their picture taken, finger prints taken and other data for my children in case of an Amber Alert. She wanted to set up an appointment to come into my home to get this info. I was uncomfortable and asked that she give me a # to call her back on and she refused. My ex husband (one of my children is his) is a cop for the local police department. I am waiting for a return call from him to sort this out. Depending on what he says depends on what I will do.

Let me ask you a question. If they are recruiting for Ins. sales reps, why do they constantly call and hang up? What the hell kind of sales pitch is that? What's that s*** about. It's like they got stage fright.

You know what the funny thing is? There are so many Ins. jobs posted on Monster and Career Builder, why would they think anyone would want to work there. They spend more time recruiting/scamming people then they do actually selling Ins. And then you are 100% comm. as well. They can go suck it as far as I'm concerned. Think about it; They tell you they provide free leads, free training...blah, blah, blah. What they don't tell these gullible young job seekers is that they will "hire" a thousand people if they could. What do they care? No one gets paid unless they sell something. And they email you with the same s***. Everyone of them. It goes something like this; "We found your resume on monster.com and your qualifications make you a good fit. We happen to have our VP of Sales in your area on Wednesday, January 21 at 10am. Please call to confirm you can make it."

A real Ins. company will pay you a base salary + comm and you will be an employee, not a 1099. There are very few people who could live off that career without any other help, i.e., living with their parents.

I just recieved a call for them to recruit me. I asked them what position they informed me that it would be explained at the interview and for me to dress Professinal. I decided NOT to go I felt uncomfortable. Yes they did get my info from careerbuilder.com too.

I've received two calls on two consecutive days.  I missed both calls and they did not leave a message either time.  They are with American Income Life trying to recruit sales people.  I have my resume posted on careerbuilder.com and that's probably how they got my contact information.  I hate to tell them I'd rather be a proctologist than an insurance sales person.  No offense to any insurance people out there:-)

According to BBB the company name is "American Income Life Insurance Co."

Called me three times today at 7:50am, 8:50am, and 12:45 pm. No message for the first two and when I answered the third call there was an immediate hangup. I don't have a clue who this is or how they have my number.
