Same deal as everyone above.  Since I found this thread helpful and potentially saving me a bit of trouble....chipping in to confirm the above.

I also received the same text which i found weird too. I thought of it as a scam but still wanted to find out what would they say if i call. I called and they knew my name before I introduced myself which I didn't like. I told them I was not interested in getting a job anymore. but asked them how would they make money if I wanted to find a Job with them. They said they get paid by the Employer who hires me which is stupid and I didn't believe. Personally I think is a SCAM to get your info!!!

Yes, me too.  This number texted me telling me they reviewed my resume.  They didn't give the name of the company.  It stated that I was looking for entry level and that's incorrect.  So definitely seems like a scam.

Please be advised, I got a text message from 407-697-8818, Claiming to have just reviewed my resume, if I was still looking for work, to contact 877-824-9132.

I reverse look up on the 407 phone number - private number through verizon wireless.
The 877 phone number - no results.

I called the number.  The first time, it rang several times, picked up, then a gave a busy signal and disconnected.  I'm thinking their system blocks calls from unidentified phone numbers, ie they can't see your caller id info.  The second time, when I unblocked my caller number, I got hold of Employer network who wants me to register with their job search service.  The person who answered didn't have to ask my name.  

I'm not going to register with them to find out whether they'll steal my identity.  :)  But I'm sure it's an option.  At the least, they've already proven their willingness to improperly use personal information posted on Monster for their own desired purpose.

I'm just speculating, here, but I feel most likely they are building a national database of job seekers, then will use it to try to attract employers.  It isn't very likely that a small employment search company in Orlando has a potential employer waiting to hire me in Ohio.  

I did a little searching for more info on employer network from Orlando and found a very interesting discussion board on a web developer forum.  Here's the link. http://www.mywot.com/en/forum/8352-employer-network-at-employer-network-com  Draw your own conclusions, but it looks to me like a scam exposed, changing face so they can continue scamming.

I got the same text from 407 697 8818, with a call back number of 877 780 3373 offering construction work.  My resume is on Monster, but I haven't listed construction as my vocation.  I think it may be related to jobnab.com  I've received several texts and emails that lead back to them in the last couple weeks.

Just got the same text message as all of you but with a different call back number - 877-780-3373. It is ridiculous how all of these scam artists are wasting people's that are out of works time. It is frustrating enough trying to find work nowadays let alone have to deal with these jerks.

I got the same text. I text it back asking them who they are and got no response. As far as your cell phone # and how they got it it is probably on your resume`. I have gotten tons of calls from these types of people and it was to sell insurance or so forth. I had the block put on my cell preventing calls like this but didn't realize they can still text. I found a great job on my own just going dooor to door.

I received a text AND like 3 emails from these people!!! all seem sketchy...my advise is do what I am doing and ignore it... the email says they saw my resume and think that I would be qualified for a job opening for me in the entertainment industry. Too bad I was a criminal justice major with no experience in entertainment. Huge Scam!!

Employment scams (where there is *NO* job) include but are not limited to:
1. Victims pay $$$ up front for required crap like uniforms, certification, background check, 1/2 airline ticket, etc.
2. You don't quite qualify for the job but are counseled to go back to school (scammer gets paid on college referral).
3. You are offered an interview and find out later it's a no-salary, commission-only, you-pay-expenses, perhaps-MLM sales job with poor leads.
4. You give your personal info because you believe you are applying for a real job which can lead to ID theft.
5. Your job as financial agent is to receive checks, cash them at your own bank, and Western Union cash away (checks will bounce).
REMEMBER -- THERE IS *NO* JOB.

Just received a SMS message that read " Hi ******, I just reviewed your resume.  If you're still looking for work in the Health Care Field, please call me at 888-258-9946."

1) I'm not even looking for work in Health Care, nor am I qualified to do so
2) What legitimate company sends text messages for job offers?

I just received the text too asking if I was still looking for a job.  Seems very shady, very few legitimate companies would conduct business in this way.  My advice: Ignore - and wonder how they could have obtained my info.

I totally agree. Any legit company would at least call, not send out a text with a call back number. I think it's a company called Jobnab that is getting our info and soliciting it from our resumes. I found the Rich's Carpet Care number too. Seems like a scam.

I also received a text message asking if I'm still interested in obtaining a job - it told me to call 888-258-9946 which according to records belongs to Rich's Carpet Care in Cordova, TN - I live in NJ. I understand how they obtained my number as I have it on my resume because I'm searching for a new job.  I agree with SN about a legitimate recruiter would email me or call me personally to inquire if I was interested.

If it was a legit recruiter they would send an email with all their contact info.

Channel IQ collects and filters data for retailers and manufacturers, in the process, this data is unprotected and is collected by search engines. The data is then exposed to spiders crawling the web for specific data like phone numbers, and from there special software for sending out texts, email spam, etc. exists to initiate specific market research or sales. Like this job placement service for example, just another glorified shell game.

I also received a text message today. I'm assuming it is because I"ve got myself marketed at some online sites (YahooJobs/Monster.com).

Same here! Just got a text message saying my resume had been reviewed, if still interested in work to call the same 888 number. No legit company would do that, but now I'm thinking of how could they have gotten my personal cell number??

Sent text stating that they had read my resume and to call 888-257-1284 if I was still interested in a job.
