This "lower your credit card interest rate" scam has been reported to the FCC  by me ALONE a handful of times this week.  I am getting VERY ANGRY!  The last time I reported the intrusion (July 2, 2012 at 4:50 p.m. PDST) I also included the following comment to the FCC  -- not that it would do ANY good, but it's just the way I and apparently MANY others feel:

These people have deeply bothered MANY of us.  They better hope you find them before WE do.

STOP COMPLAINING AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!

First of all, this is a fraudulent scheme, like many people have pointed out. So the first thing to understand is that discussing the DO NOT CALL list is completely irrelevant. These people are engaging in criminal activity to obtain credit card numbers to then sell on the black market. They have no intentions of abiding by the DO NOT CALL lists, because their biggest crime is NOT calling someone who is registered.

Therefore, calling the FCC is a waste of time. Calling the Public Utilities Commission is a waste of time. Calling your state representatives is a waste. If you're only concerned with the fact that they are calling you when you are registered on the list, then I'd suggest giving up now because your efforts are fruitless. The FCC and PUC and all those types of agencies will result in a dead end because these people are not legitimate companies, and they have no way of identifying them. Like I said, "Ann from Account Services" is committing a much larger crime here.

If you really want to do something, then contact the Secret Service. Same reaction I had. "They guard the President, why call them?" Well believe it or not, the Secret Service is the primary organization that deals with credit card fraud. Call your local field office and talk to someone there. While they can't provide immediate results, enough complaints will get these criminals on their radar. Like I was told from my local branch, it's hard to tell where they are calling from. But like I told him, I tracked one of the numbers down from Florida one day, finally leading to a TracFone. A manager from TracFone admitted to owning the number, but couldn't give me the name of who bought it. Enough complaints, and the Secret Service could subpoena them for the information, and then we could get somewhere. Visit http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml for a list of local field offices and give them a call. What I intend to do from now on is go thru the motions with the caller, and give them the number of a Secret Service office as my "credit card company" number. Let them call the Secret Service a few times, then maybe they can start tracing the calls.

these people won stop calling my cell phone telling me to press one to get lower interest rate than they hang up on me when I tell them to take me off the list. They call me 10 times a week.

I have received calls from 407-702-0538. I am on the Do not call list and have been since 2006. I just filed a complaint against this number. Whenever you do answer the phone they message does not identify the company they are calling from, so I quit answering the phone when I see their number.

I have no credit card at all. Why are they calling me? The only thing I have is my cell phone number, I do not even have a land line anymore. I did this about 3 years ago and that is when all these STUPID phone calls started on my cell. Is it possible that my phone number has been given out. That is why I stopped using a land line. Maybe I should get a new  cell phone provider now too!

On 3/1 I got call from this number on my pay as you go on do not call list call phone. I did not answer and no message was left.

This number 408-702-0538 is still Active as of Feb 25th 2012.  So are  920-602-0879 (Feb 23, 2012), 909-374-9789 (Jan 23,2012), & 360-529-6105, (Dec 17, 2011).  These are just a few of the numbers we have received on our three Phones.  Don't even bother to try to get off their calling list.
It doesn't work.  They will either curse you out or just hang up on you, if you're lucky.

same here,  i pressed "1" and told them they called a business number and told them not to call my number again.   they hung up on me.  i also called back and received the same recording that the number is not a working number.

Me too.  I reported the number to the FTC because my cell is on the DNC list.  I press one, tell them I'm interested, and then ask to be taken off the list, they hang up.  I call the number back and the number doesn't exist.  Definately a scam!!!

This is an MCI/Tracphone #. The guy buys these in small blocks and uses them up, then moves on, so the numbers can't be blocked. I found a # the the Tracphone management office and called them (866-234-4357). I told the woman that I'm receiving the same robocall from "Rachel" several times a day, each time with a different Tracphone number, so its impossible to block it. She said there was nothing she could do about it. Maybe if enough people call them they'll stop selling him phone numbers. Again, the MCI/Tracphone # is: 866-234-4357.

The government will stop it?? I've recieved several similar call over the past few months, one shuts down two more call. If you don't recognize the number, especially area code hit ignore or simply don't answer it.

I played with them gave them no info cause off the bat I knew it was bogus and when I told him I didn't have anything they tried to guess I had I said I hope you will stop calling me now and he hung up.  gotten many calls since. Really if I wasn't dumb enough  to fall for it the first time, I not gonna fall for it again.  PS telemarketer centers do not have the ability tohang up, I know cause I okay with them too

I got a call from the same number stating they were from cardholder services. go to www.ftc.gov and file a compliant with them especially if your number is on the do not call list.

I received a phone call from this number.  I do not answer numbers that are not familiar to me.  I checked online and noticed that it is from a number that has complaints associated with it as a credit card offer...

I've asked this company 5 times to stop calling my home and cell.  Today they called again, I asked again to stop  calling me and the guy hung up on me
