World Group is under a much larger parent company that markets for some of the biggest names in retail.
As far as complaints about "They train their reps to lie," well, that's not entirely untrue, being as in any business, some people have more regards for ethics than others, and occasionally one of these people will land a job there, and those people very well may lie when they're working, so when they train other people, they train their "strategies." However, the company is very much against that, and when those people are found out by internal whistle blowers, they are promptly weeded out. It is important to remember that is not a problem that is unique to their business, it is a problem that resounds throughout humanity.
As far as them not paying what they said they would, when I was an employee there, I witnessed firsthand that they do pay what you earn, and the people who didn't get paid for what they THOUGHT they should have earned didn't do the backend/followup work that is part of their job, so since they didn't do their job correctly, they were severely disappointed when payday came. I found out firsthand that if you do your job completely, you will get paid accordingly. One time I got about half as much as I was expecting, and the reason why is because I got lazy and wasn't doing everything that was in my job description. Well, after that week, I did what I was supposed to do and never had any problems with pay.
Lastly, the reason most people don't last more than a week is because they do not have the proper work ethic and attitude about the employment opportunity. They come in and when they realize they actually have to work hard for their pay, they decide to get back on unemployment so they can be lazy again.
The job there requires a strong work ethic, and people who don't have it don't last.
It's that simple.
Oh, and as far as them starting a positive marketing campaign after this interview, do you really think that the reason they do it is because they want to hide whistle blowers or they want to have a positive image?
What company wouldn't want to have a positive image?
If people are saying derogatory things about the company, or course they are going to combat that with a positive marketing campaign.
In closing, if you have any questions or concerns about this position, than I recommend you actually find out for yourself as opposed to believing what some overly opinionated people have to say.
And if you're wondering why I posted this, it's because I know the people who work there, and they're good dudes, and they do honest work. I think that it's ridiculous to take some opinions that someone you've never met on the internet and trust it as fact. Both the negative opinions and everything I had to say in this post. If you want truth, you have to go to the source.

yea, i just went through this "interview" as well today. these people promise you the world and "35k" a year, telling you it is a "important service to your community". when in fact, it is a joke, i found this listing on craiglist in orlando, told my wife and son about it thinking that i have just hit gold. because money has been tight, i thought i was doing good for my family, unfourtunatly, from what i've read on this site, i will go in armed with what i have learned tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind!!!!. and i'll put notice in for those who have been wronged in the past by these pricks!!!!. TO GET SOMEONES HOPES UP DURING THESE TRYING TIMES AND THEN CRAP ON THEM SHOULD BE A CRIME!!!!!!!. THE COMPANY NOW GOES BY "WORLD GROUP INC."-------THANKS FOR HAVING SUCH AN INFORMATIVE POST GUYS AND GALS.........I'LL UPDATE AFTER TOMORROWS "INTERVIEW"

I got the same rigamarole from a caller named "Jennifer" from this number also. EVIL! Its wrong to get a person looking forward to something like that. Is it supposed to be a joke or something? Worst of all, I seriously need a better job.
