I worked for this company and sold many packages. a few things need to be addressed.
1. It is Hilton.
2. The specials are real. I personally had guests call me on their stay thanking me. AND THEY DID DO THE TOUR WE REQUIRE of them.
3. the National do not CAll registry has a clause stating if you have a business relationship(Hilton Honors Member for instance it does not apply...check it out. http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/do-not-call-list
4. the reason the calls came multiple times is because WE PERSONALLY DISPOSITION them. Not Interested, DO Not CALL, ANSWERING MACHINE, NOT AVAILABLE....sepends on your answer and IF/WHEN you pick up.
5. Yes we can be a bit aggressive. but not because it was our JOB, but because we really dont see if you are going to these destinations WITH OR WITHOUT the package, how you could pass up the cheap rate that EMPLOYEES cant even get.

Send an email to this guy. I threatened an FCC complaint and a change.org petition (which would have been a great black eye delivery system) if they didn't take care of this ASAP. Got an email asking for number, sent it, got a reply back immediately promising that it had been blocked.

I picked up the third day they called. They asked if I was interested in a trip to Las Vegas or FL, and I said "Neither." They asked why and I said, "I hate to travel", they laughed and I hung up.

Ok, I'm really angry now. I just got another call, only minutes after the last one this morning where I requested to be removed from the calling list. This time, I verified the phone number, via Google, as belonging to the Hilton Garden Vacation Club, tho I had no Caller ID showing up on my cell phone.

I called their corporate headquarters at 407-722-3100 and asked what's this about?
I was told they are selling timeshares. So, I asked to be removed from the list, again! I was disconnected by a rude operator as soon as I asked. I called back and the same thing happened right after giving them my phone number and I refused to give them my name.

The third time I called I was told that legally, if I've ever stayed at a Hilton Hotel, they can telemarket to me. I said, "That is not true if I've requested to NEVER be telemarketed to, AND have also asked to be removed from the telemarketing call list when I got calls and chose the option to be removed. If I get another call from anyone at HGVC, I will file a lawsuit immediately."

I'm not a HHonors member, so how the hell did they get my phone number, my cell phone no less, which I never give out?!?

There's no reason for these shysters to be calling me. I don't have the income to buy a time share and wouldn't if offered one, even if I did! TimeShares are a total a rip off! Everyone I know that ever bought into one says so.

I can't even remember the last time I stayed in a Hilton Hotel, since they are such a soul sucking, heavily polluting company. It's way more likely a total phishing or vishing scam, and the scammers are just spoofing the CID and phone number, as they normally do. With the economy picking up steam, these sort of things seem to proliferate way more.

The reason no one answers when you pick up the phone is because it's a roto dialer making the calls. They have to wait for an operator to answer after you say 'Hello". If no one is available to pick up on their end, then they don't.

You can usually tell it's a scam when you're told that you can have your number removed and it isn't. So, actually by Pressing 2 or whatever, as suggested, you will ensure your number is placed on a suckers list and called repeatedly in the future for any number of things. Your number will also be sold to other scammers for other various annoying scam calls. It's best to never pick up the calls at all. However, they are still making money if you don't answer.

Do not call list refers to random telemarketers.  If you've ever stayed at a Hilton then you have an established relationship with them and they can call you, so the do not call list doesn't apply here

In reply to ShillHammer. This indeed is a legitimate company. If you ever stayed at a Hilton or any in their chain, you could be called. Dave is right. Call the number back, press 2 and a pleasant person will pick up and ask how they can help. Tell them you would like to be put on their "do not call" list. They will ask for your number and inform you it may take 72 hours to have your named removed. After 3 days you should never get a call again, unless you stay at a Hilton again.
This is not a "boiler room" and it uses "predictive dialing." Robo dialers have a pre-recorded message that is used. Predictive dialing goes down a list of people to be called and when it get a pick-up alerts the caller on their screen that the call has been connected. Their headset then becomes active and they will talk with you.
Robo dial calls require you to punch a number to connect. One person can handle 5 or more lines.
This is not phishing!

I've been getting calls from 407-722-3533 & 407-722-3531, which is the Hilton timeshare and vacations sales.  I've been in contact with corporate office today and have advised them that the harrassing calls are being reported to my local authorities and charges will be filed if they do not cease in calling me.

I highly suggest all consumers to barage the Hilton with similar phone calls to send them a very clear message.  I told them that of all hotels, the Hilton, they must be suffering greatly.  The number of corporate that I reached is the very number that is calling us, but somehow the phone call gets redirected to corporate, which is the 407-722-3533.  You will have to give them your phone # for them to place a no call to your phone...Good luck

The calls are from Hilton Grand Vacation Club.  They are trying to sell timeshares in the Hilton resorts that have units available for timeshare opportunities.  They called last week and I spoke to them so I could ask them not to call any longer.  They just called me again.  If this continues, I will give up my Hilton Honors travel and never use their hotels again.

Almost everyday this number calls my work and when I answer addresses me as the owners wife. which of course I am not. They seem to think they are calling their home number. I asked her what it was regarding and all she said was "just trying to touch base with him" and she "will try back at a more convenient time". I very nicely told her that he will not be in for a few weeks so to please quit calling everyday. She hung up on me.

Yep that's all I needed to know. See if you get through to the owner now. I hope she realizes this was a dead end call and to never call again. I don't care who she says she is she ain't getting through me now. See people, you want to abuse and disrespect the receptionists? See how well that works out?

I can't turn my phone off because I am on 24/7 emergency call. I just love those people who say "Just turn turn you phone off" GET REAL, why should I not be able to use what I pay for and its purpose. These robo calls don't even adhear to DO NOT CALL.gov.

Got a call from this number two nights ago... let it go to voice mail... no message.  Just got a call again today and I answered.  Like everyone said, they claim to be Hilton and offering some family trip to Orlando or Las Vegas.  I said I wasn't interested in a spam vacation.  They said, you do realize we are from Hilton right?... I said if that's really the case, I'll call Hilton directly and talk to them about this.  They said ok... have a good evening...

Obviously spam...  I did a reverse look up on this number in the WhitePages and it says it's a mobile phone from FL.  There's no way an official Hilton deal would be making a phone call from a cell phone!!

What a bunch of jack wagons!

I can beat all your times -- it took under 20 seconds to dial, press #2, and ask them to remove me from their call list!  Before that, I was getting 2-3 calls per day at my work number (I never answered).  Thanks for the info about how to remove my name!

After receiving several calls from this number, I finally called back after reading these helpful posts.  As suggested, I pressed 2; an operator picked up and I asked to be removed from their call list.  She
was courteous and said it would be done.  The call took all of three seconds.  Try it!  Just press 2 when you get their recording.

Prank Call
This caller is a credit card scam. It is not directly related to Hilton GRAND Vacations. The legit Hilton would call you from a toll free number but most likely would send you something in the mail rather than call past customers or new potential ones.

FAce it... It is not because you are in the Hilton Honors Program or you recently stayed at their hotels. That is private info and they would not be calling your residence stating such! It is a scam to get your credit card info BOTTOM LINE.

Don't fall for it. This "hilton vacations" is bogus. Do a google search and there will be no such place. ONLY Hilton GRand Vacations. PLUS.... the number they call from is NOT a number that is recognized by Hilton Grand in Florida.

Is it even worth asking to be removed from a Bogus Credit Card scammer? I don't know. I just let the machine get these anymore or perhaps I should start answering, "Police Dispatch" or "Strip Club".

Have fun! But beware of the scammers! They are rampant!

BOGUS CALLER and COMPANY - NO such place

First of all.... I received the same calls. I do know for fact that the correct name for the legit company is HILTON GRAND VACATIONS and that Hilton Vacations came up on caller id.  A google search showed no such business as Hilton Vacations and that number does not correspond with ANY HIlton Grand Vacations business line in Orlando, FL

So I let it go thru to the machine and of course, no message.  If a company is going to call potential clients and they are as HUGE as Hilton then they would be calling from a toll free number NOT an area code from Orlando. Yes, Hilton Grand Vacations operates out of Orlando but they utilize..... TOLL FREE NUMBERS to dial out as well as have clients dial in for customer service.

This company will ask for your credit card info as I have led them into their pitch before and when I found out that they were not able to deliver at any credible Hilton locations and they then pushed for my credit card info before they could even commit for a travel date AND location. I had to politely refuse as not to get bombarded with their feisty friends calling from every other fraudulent credit card scamming company out there.

This caller is NOT at all related to HILTON GRAND VACATIONS! Big Difference!

Best to opt out but for those who want that next big cheap vacation... BEWARE! It's a scam!  T
