407-736-8200 is the number used by my AT&T Privacy Director service.  This service makes people calling me with an unlisted number record their name & what they are calling about so that AT&T plays me that info and I can reject the call, ignore the call, or accept the call.

If someone tries to call, without proper Caller ID, they have a choice.  They can press OPT 1, and have the call come thru with proper Caller ID intact, or they can press OPT 2, and Record their voice, and this will ring your home number, you will be able to hear the recorded voice, THEN you decide if you want to take the call or not.

Caller ID "Privacy Director"

I picked up phone and then they hung up.    ???????  Why call someone, just to hang up?

After recieving 2 calls today from this number, found this on line:

Also got 2 calls today, my phone says "privacy director", says to press 2 to reject, 3 to ignore.  Have done both in the past and still get calls.

they hung up it was 12/02/08 at 8:00 pm I don't like this at all

When I answer no one is ever there.  I get called about everyday from this number.

Automated message "This is an important call from American Express ..." - hung up before answered through Privacy Director. Does not make sense to me that American Express would initiate a call from the 407 area code.

We have received calls from 407-736-8200 at all times of the day -- morning, day & night.
Since we do not know the caller (our caller ID lists it under "Privacy Director," we do NOT answer.
How can we make this stop?

6:20pm dinnertime call. Privacy director displayed. Caller failed to leave voicemail.

does anyone know who the heck this is???  I can call back from my cell or work phone and privacy director engages!

407-736-8200 called my house at 11:01 AM on 1/11/07.  Answering machine picked up and they left a 15 second message with nothing on it.  When I called the number back, someone answered the phone and hung up.

407-736-8200 called my house phone at 9:13 am on 12/12/07 and hung up when I answered.
