They forgive thousands every day in mortgages from people who can pay but just walk away then harass people who are dying and owe them for a credit card.  They are truly a Washington figure with Washington views.  I'd never do business with them again.

I do not answer ANY calls that I cannot identify.  I check call register and google them at the end of the day.  I call the people/companies with whom I wish to speak.  If one starts driving me nuts, I block the number and voicemail.  I still know that they called, for I can check the register.  I have the option to listen or not to listen to messages that I block.  We have tons of medical bills and would go nuts before noon if I didn't do this.  oh...chase...yes, they call here.  yes, we were a little late this month.  Paid today on-line.  Still getting/ignoring calls tonight.  Don't let your phone rule you.  People can call, but you don't have to answer!

This number is from CHASE Bank!  It is completely ridiculous that they call me about 8 to 9 times a day.  I am late on my payments.  I called them to let them know that I had a setback and would be making the payments as soon as I can.  I explained everything to them in detail.  Even after I talked to them they asked if I could make the payment by the next day... I told them NO... It would probably be 2 weeks before payment could be made.  They told me that I had to pay before then... I told them I could not and that it would be 2 weeks.  She ended our phone call telling me she would call me back tomorrow to follow up on our conversation that we just had.  I told her that nothing would change by tomorrow and a call tomorrow would be useless.

They called the next day 9 times... It is completely stupid to do business like this.

They called my cellphone this morning asking for my wife.  They wouldn't tell me who they were or why they wanted to speak to her.  No idea how they got her name associated with my cellphone.  When I called the number back, a recording said I had reached Chase Card Services.

I get so many of these types of calls that I finally added a "Blocked Phone" name to my address book.  I put the numbers in that I know are junk or scams.  I change the ring tone to something specific so that I know not to bother even looking at it.  Saved me a lot of time and headaches.  By the way, I can save up to 10 numbers under 1 name.  I'm onto Blocked Phone 3 now, with 21 numbers being ignored with this one being added today!

I did the same thing Chase Bank has no record of these numbers being associated with Chase Bank at all.  I gave them all the numbers, the 407 number they call from and the 866 number they tell me to have my boss call them back at so I reported them to Chase.  I tried to tell the guy that called today I was on to him but he still tried to give me the 866 number for my boss to call back.  I told this guy I called Chase and they have no record of these numbers in their system.  The guy at Chase I spoke with told me the 407 number is someone's private number not a business number.  Be careful!!

If you have the opportunity LEAVE Chase!  Yes I am late with a payment, but not 30 days late. I was with chase sense it was called Bank One, when I found out they would deliberately rearrange my checking account transactions to cause automatic withdraws to bounce ( account insufficient ).

This would happen once every other month, causing Chase to elective $10-$20 per transaction.

I never filed Bankruptcy, but as of January 2015, they are the first to receive the boot!!

Remember that any debt forgiven is credited as taxable income at the end of the year. The bank that does the write-down will send you a IRS 1099 and you'll be required to pay taxes on every cent they write-off. Of course, they don't mention your tax liability when they make the offer.

Also be aware that a charge-off on your credit record remains just as long as a bankruptcy.

There is an easy solution to end these calls for good.  Please pass this info along.  The scammer at the other end will try to sound official telling you the call is being recorded.  Ask them to wait a second while you turn on your recorder to record the call also.  They will then end the call and not call back.  Works everytime.

That is not a very well written letter, don't copy it.  There are good elements in the letter, but exclaimation points are not necessary n a business communication.  Also, they know how much the fines are and what the fdcpa laws state. They know this because they do it every day, it is their job.  It just sounds ridiculous.  Adding that line didn't make anyone at chase go "oh s***, we better not call this person again, I forgot there was a fine".  The letter borders on sounding threatening, instead of informative, which is all you need.  Or, and here is a crazy idea, pay your bills.  Can't pay it in full?  Get set up on small installments.  If you talk to them, you can set up a time and date when the next call will be, instead of every day.

This is a way to SCAM. I believe there are people who get temp employment as reps then attempt to get your full information for later, fraudulent use. Call center screens only give the reps access to the last 4 digits of ss# and one security question. They do not even get your entire account number! They try to get that info from you.
These call centers have a very high turn over rate. This is not a career for them. If they want more information than you are comfortable giveing, have them send the request by mail and verify the address.

It is supposedly illegal for these people to call after 8 p.m. but in addition to many calls from them on my cell phone at various times, I received one on a Sunday at 8:45 p.m.!  I agree with most of you.  Many of us have had hard times. I contacted Chase to request a reduced interest rate and to let them know that I had been laid off and would they work with me.  They would not even consider it so I had no choice.  The banks all got a bail out but when we need help, they won't even consider it.  If they get stuck with zillions of dollars in unpaid credit card payments, it's hard to feel bad for them.

Maybe they could stop building new offices on every corner.  I only wish that people would wise up and stop using them for anything.
