A CONVICTED fraudster who launched a racist attack on a supermarket worker is facing jail.


Scott Horne, 33, shoved Gopisangar Balasinghan and called him a ?Paki? during a visit to Tesco Metro in Gants Hill.


Snaresbrook Crown Court heard yesterday that Horne of Gate House, Eastern Avenue, had attacked Mr Balasinghan less than two months after receiving a suspended prison sentence following a conviction for conspiracy to defraud.


Judge Martyin Zeidman QC warned Horne faced serving the four-month term on top of any sentence for lashing out at Mr Balasinghan.


?I have an open mind at the moment as to sentence,? the judge said.


?This must have been a very unpleasant incident from the point of view of the victim.


?It is a terrible thing to say a racist comment to someone, to call him a P*** and push him.?


Horne had denied the assault on Mr Balasinghan on June 16 last year and was due to stand trial but he later admitted the attack.


His barrister Ian Dowty read a prepared statement by Horne to the court in Hollybush Hill, Snaresbook which said he was ?angry and in drink? at the time of the attack.


The court heard Horne was convicted of conspiracy to defraud on April 29 last year and his sentence was suspended for two years.


Judge Zeidman bailed Horne until February 2 and ordered prosecutors seek a statement from Mr Balasinghan and an impact statement from the victim.


The judge ordered Horne not to contact the victim and banned the defendant from entering any Tesco store in Redbridge.


Horne is due to be sentenced at the Old Bailey next month.


Horne admitted racially aggravated assault by beating.

His name is SCOTT KOREN.   He lives in Orlando  (32804)       Spends his money on drugs.

He is still at it, didn't check his number out until Sunday morning and found out it was a scam. We sent him some money - too bad he has to use his mother (dead or alive), I am sure she would be very proud of him. Man is so depraved. Scott Corn but said Scott Krone on his caller ID.

I am reporting this for my Pastor who received a call similiar to what others have received from this number.  He was convinced this caller was another visitor to our church that had visited a few weeks earlier.  The caller stated his name was Scott Corn and that he had visited our church 2 weeks ago with his two daughters Jessica and Denise.  He stated his mother had died and he was on the way to the funeral when his car broke down.  He was asking for $124.12 to be wired to him so that he could get bus tickets to the funeral.  My Pastor was about ready to send the money but he called to ask me to pray about it before sending it.  Just by chance, I asked him what the callers caller ID was.  It was this number and it showed Anne Conley.  I Googled it and found this web site listing all these fraud calls.  Beware of this guy.  He is very convincing.

Similar story but the the same ruse. He even used local addresses and names he had pulled out of the telephone book that "sound black". It was quite disturbing and like others I was torn between helping someone I thought I had met. But when pressed for details his story began to change and fall apart. Thank God we did not send money.

Same guy. Number is 321-442-4206,  didn't have time to check it out fully and sent some money.   I'm glad I don't have to answer for him.  Hurts others who have a real need.

Some one named Scot calling looking to scam me out of money. Same story as everyone else above. Some made up sounding story about his dead mother. This person needs to stop playing on my phone line. This is a home business line!!

A man called my restaurant too! The same deal as the previous poster. Said that he ate here and it made him and his mother sick and now she's dead. I asked when this happened, he said that it happened this morning. I said we're a fine dinning restaurant sir, we're not open in the mornings, he then said that it was around 4. I noticed it was an out of town number and this was some prank, I said that it's now 5 and as the chef here, I can tell you that food poisoning don't kill someone in the matter of an hour. I told him I'm busy and have to go. If you can come in with the medical reports and the death certificate, we will be completely responsible. He got really pissed off and said that we're held responsible now and he wants the money now. I said alright no problem, but you should first call a restaurant in your state first pal! I believe he was the same man who called the other night talking about being sick from the restaurant and we owe him medical expenses. I'm not sure but sounds like the same guy. The sous chef took the call at the time.

Yeah right! I googled the number and found this site. I was hoping to get a name on this guy. I couldn't trace the call because there's no caller id on the phone in the kitchen. We've been getting these calls ever since we put an online add out for a cook position. This jack*** really needs to get his a** kicked!
Bad enough calling hard working people in the middle of service but also seems he has a track record calling churches with this scam!! That makes me even more angry!! I'm calling authorities!

Man called my restaurant telling me that last time he ate here his mother got very sick and now she's dead from food poisoning. He said that he wanted the restaurant to pay for his mother's funeral expenses. I didn't believe this call, but when I asked him when it happened he said that it happened last monday I said you have the wrong place, we were closed on Monday. He then got very angry and started saying he'll bomb the restaurant and come down and punch me in the face. I said bring it on wise guy! Where do people like this get off???

Male caller said 1992 car broke down on I-4. His mother died after car accident with a drunk driver. Car was towed off I-4. Checked on Greyhound Bus fare and he had $241 but needed more to get his wife and two daughters under the age of 5 back to Ohio. I said I can't help with the cash and the phone started a busy signal.

As I said, same story as above.  When I asked him where he lived in our town, he said 5th Street.  I guess that works in many towns, but not this one.  There is no 5th street in our city.  The phone line when dead . . . .

If you get a call from this guy, make sure to call your state Attorney General's office to report it as a phone scam.  I imagine that that is why he's had to change phone numbers in the past.

"Scott" called at 4 AM concerning a death in the family and asked that we call back.  Anne Conley was on the caller ID with the phone number 321-442-4206.

Always, always, always do research into the stories that people tell you, whether they walk in off the street or call you.

Same here!  He called my office at 2:54am on August 12th.  I didn't get the message until saturday night and I returned his URGENT call.  He also said he had visited our church a few weeks ago with his daughters and that his name was Scott Korn.  The call was interupted and when I tried to call back was unable to get through.  Then found this website through Google.

Talked to a guy named Scott Korhen.  He said that he had met me at our church about a month ago.  He said his wife was Mary Ann and he had two little girls named Jessica and Denise.  He said his mother was killed by a drunk driver in Florida.  He was on his way back when his car broke down.  He needed a $124 for a grey hound bus ticket to get his family back to Missouri.  It didn't all seem to add up so I googled his name on the internet and I saw several other people had posted the exact same story.  After I knew it was a fraud I called him back and told he needed to stop doing this.  He said, "Whatever, I'll get the next one."

I just received a call from a Scott Horn, the Caller ID was Anne Conley. He claimed to have met me and introduced me to his two daughters a month ago. I told him I could not recall meeting him and he hung up. Since the call came in at 11pm I googled the number and came up with this site.

Said he was going to change phone numbers----am going to call local FBI office and give them his info--said he had got a church from Alabama for 1,200 the saturday prior to today and had got a church for 400 today-----seems like a real low life and is very convincing on the phone-beware--May God have mercy on his soul because if I could have reached him I wouldnt have had mercy on him.

received a call at 3:30 AM....same story as above.  Threw a rod, needed money.  Said his phone was almost dead and that he'd have to call back.  His phone, "died" and when it did I googled the number....good thing...

Scott owes me about 700 dollars!!!!!!!!!! He smoked up all my s*** and now he doesnt want to pay up!!!!!!!!!!! When i catch him im goin to tase the s*** out of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call in May same stuff. Was so tempted to wire this guy the money.  He is soooooooooo good at what he does, but something kept bugging me about his story.  When I put in the basic details this web site came up.  Great job all of you! This is great example of taking God's name in vain. Representing himself to be a interested in the things of God but only for his personal gain. We need to pray that God gets a hold of him and that he becomes a true believer.

Received the same call last night on my Church cell phone and a message was left. This morning I called back and left a message for Scott to call back. By that time I had my daughter run the number and found this site. Scott Crone did call back about two hours later and gave a similar story as those on this site. He had vsited the church about a month ago wih his twn daughters. I was supposed to have made a comment as to how lovely they were. When I said I did not remember them he was a bit disturbed that I didn't know who I was speaking to. So I asked him for an address. He gave an address on the same street as the church of a home that is for sale.Then when I pressed him for more information, he ended the call abruptly. Send no money!!!!
