These guys called me today... boy you're gonna love this!

My husband interviewed for a job with these types of people, called "appointment setters." They send someone out to 'test' your water and then try to sell you on a water filtration system - one that a friend of mine actually, unfortunately, fell for, and has been complete and utter crap for her house. Needless to say, my husband never took the job, but at least I know a little bit about how these guys work.

Anyway... we've been getting robocalls for the past few weeks from these guys. Normally I just don't answer the phone (no caller ID, let the machine filter calls), but today I was nearby it, and I've been waiting for an important call so I answered it. Waited for the option to speak to a rep, waited all of one second before someone picked up on the line. Sounded like someone working from home - music loud in the background and the guy sounded half asleep.

I told him we've been getting the robocalls and don't appreciate it, we'd like to be removed from the list. He tried to go into his whole routine to try and offer me free water testing, told him not interested, just want off the list. He started going on about the free $100 gift card, still didn't get a hint. I started to tell him I understand it's his job, but we don't want the calls, we're not interested, and he started yelling over me so I told him if we get any more calls, I'll report the company to the FCC. He told me I can't because they're not selling anything, told him I would for harassing phone calls since they won't quit. So he said "Okay okay, I'll take you off the list, now lay off the drugs" and hung up. HAH.

I think this is a tricky collections company that specializes fact finding.  
The caller ID said Auto Leaders 407-792-6137 and I was going to tell them I?m on the ?Do Not Call? list, as I usually do when I get a telemarketer.  
They said someone was going to be in my area testing water and if I booked an appointment for a home water test, I would receive a $100 Wal-mart or Target gift card.   I?ve wanted to get my water tested and so, unfortunately, I took the bait.  BAD MOVE!  I made the appointment and then they transferred me to an appointment setter and they recorded the call.  They wanted to verify I owned my home, and how long I?ve been there, and who else lived here etc.   The appointment was for the next day.   They didn?t show up for the appointment and I received no other calls.  
This phone number also called me with the following other caller ID numbers: v60612044400039 and v60412012600039.   When I checked back over my other calls I noticed that I kept getting calls with no one on the phone and the same strange caller ID format that always started with a ?v?.

I know there have been others, but I didn?t answer and they didn?t leave a message.  
I?m surprised this worked on me, but with the economy, the collections agencies are getting more tricky.

I am on the DNC list and they called me today. Time to have them come to my house and beat the Holy Sh#t out of them.. This should solve the problem. The feds need to get of there a** and make these co. pay. Its time to give up my landline and get a Iphone and use MR. NUMBER! I work nights and days and have health problems and get very little sleep due to my medical problems. It is only time before I end up killing myself or someone else sleeping while I am driving!  They want to do water testing and give you a 100.00 wally world card. AKA Walmart!

Caller ID comes up as (407) 792-6137 as FL call. No message is left. I do not answer calls which I do not recognize and no message is left. If you cannot leave a message, do not call me.

got several calls from this number/tried calling it back/busy signal/they are alwasy calling and I am on DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!!

On 6/5/12, rcvd 4 calls from 407-792-6137; 1 "out of area call from 503-278-8213 (The call back message said "The magic jack customer you are trying to reach is not available..." , and 6 more "out of area" calls with no number.
On 6/6/12, rcvd two calls that said "out of area" with the number 435-625-1900 in addition to another 12 calls from "out of area" with no number all in one day.  When I called back it was just some oriental type music playing.

Got two calls from this number.  I have a call blocker so they can't ring through and can't get my answering service. My caller Id just says "Florida Call" but on another cite like this one (Who Calls Me) one person says the caller ID reads "Auto Leader."  I noticed that one of the people on this cite says the same thing.  Yet another cite (Why call Me) reports it as "American Water Quality of Florida."  One person on that cite says that this company has been fined for deceptive practices.

Hit 3 to speak with a rep and once I told him it was being recorded and DNCL he hung up. Call back number doesn't work so how do we report?

Keep getting calls from this number.  I wait for it to go into voice mail.  They leave no message, and hang up.  Don't know who they are.

Smae here start4ed reporting them today!  Been getting calls for weeks!  WOnder why regitry not doing anything about it?

Keep getting calls from this number 407-792-6137, decided to find out whats it's about. Kept gettin a message that the number had not been activated yet.

Keep getting these calls from this number. And there is no one there when picked up. It is annoying to say the least.

They won't stop calling. When I asked to be taken off the call list, they hung up. I'll try hitting 3 next time.

This number calls everyday sometimes 2 and 3 times aday and when answer there  is no one there.
Want it to STOP!!!!

Auto Leaders calls our house 4x a we have 2 options: 1. cancel thecland line 2: set a boat horn off everytime we get an unwanted call...

When you answer the recorded message says it is a water testing service who will be in your area in the next few days to test water and in appreciation of letting them test your water you will receive a $100 gift card from Walmart.  Didn't care so much about the gift card, did think a water test could be of
use but when I call the number back, their message box is full.  Not being able to verify the organization is a show stopper.  Caller ID says Sanford, FL

keep getting this number calling. Tired of it. No one answers.

These scumbags keep calling daily, and when they get the answering machine, they hang up. Then, they call again later in the day or the next day and hang up again. This has been going on for weeks. Today, I picked up before the answering machine. A recorded message came on stating some patronizing lie that they "know [my] time is valuable" [ then WHY are they making an unsolicited call to me and I am even on the DoNotCall list which they apparently think does not apply to THEM?!] talking about some "free $100 Walmart" gift card scam, and how they "will be in my area offering a 'free' water test" nonsense.

Yeah right .. I am going to let some scammer come into my home who obviously thinks that my specifically requesting to be on the federal government's DO NOT CALL list is of no concern to them?! DREAM ON, losers!  Then, after having to listen to their entire two minute message (I work from home and they just cost me money -- I should be able to sue them for time and charges, right?) they are "kind enough" to give me the "option" to "press 3" to receive no more additional calls.

Well, I pressed 3, and then I promptly reported those scumbags to the federal DO NOT CALL list!  I want all of these people in jail for violating federal telecommunications law!  They are effectively breaking and entering into our homes! Vermin!  Make sure that you report these pigs everyt ime they call you!

I get multiple calls from this number - sometimes ten minutes apart...has been going on for several days.  Caller ID says AUTO LEADER.  They leave no message, but if I pick up the line is silent.

I keep getting calls from this number they don't leave a message and the line is dead when I pick up.. The name on my phone is "Auto Leaders".. I have no idea what this is all about
