Calling our cells in NY.  Filed complaints at donotcall.gov

Everyone should keep track of all these bogus calls and file them with donotcall.gov...  Otherwise the telemarketers are winning.  The FCC levies HUGE fines, but we have to do our part.  It's fast, free and easy.  I collect a few months worth of calls and submit them all at once.  It has been reducing the quantity we get.

Just got a call. I punched it off as I did not recognize the number. It went to voice mail which picked up part of the message. A male voice gave a claim number and a female said something about bonus vacation. I did not attempt to call back as I don't care. On my cell phone I can place the number in the reject file and won't get anymore from that number.

Don't answer calls like thus because by answering  you are letting the scammers know they called an active number. Chances are they will then selk your number to other scammers.

"Unknown" on Caller ID = "decline." Nice try, scammer!

This is a telemarketer, or otherwise unwanted caller.

Didn't leave a message. Called at 7:40 in the evening. Called before. hey won't leave me alone. I can't have a quiet evening...

DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALL YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. I called them back one time and was charged $27 on my cell phone bill. It is from one of the Islands. It is a scam

Got a call... Let it go to VM..VM was dead air space.  Called back, number disconnected.  This was at about 8pm. Annoying.  (AR)

I let the call go to voice mail and all the recording said was "press 2 to remove your name from this list" I deleted it from my voice mail, but even if I had answered the call, I would NOT have pressed 2. I think this just lets them know that they got a "real person."  

I hate this stuff, so many ways to get ripped off.

I got a call today from (407) 856-4219, the caller came as unknown & my cell said it was from Orlando, FL. I never pick up unknown calls & I suggest everyone to do the same. I live in NYC if that means anything, I also didn't bother calling back.

Trevor,   add  contacts that are dummy, like "a$$holes".  Use the "home, fax, business, etc) slots for each new junk caller.   That way you can over load the contact list, and the ID  "a$$holes" shows up when you get repeat calls.  No need to answer.

I have a special contacts in my cell list:   "a***oles".    Every time I get one of these I add it to one of the open slots (home, cell, business, fax, etc.)  I create a new "a***oles2" when that fills up.   When I get repeat calls, the caller ID on my cellphone displays  "A***oles".       Saves me a lot of trouble.

I added this "407-856-4219" number today.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that your phone bill gets charged up the butt if you answer them when they are out of country, which can very well be since they can't trace it. Better off not answering it.

This number called me 2-3x back in August 2013 leaving no messages, so I blocked them.  Eventually, with only 5 free blocks on my Verizon cell line, I let this number go to make room for others.  Well.....it came back this fall and I had to block it again.  Thought I was out of the woods after that block expired but NO, it came back again yesterday!  No identity and blank voicemail messages.  Give me a break.  Oh well, it's blocked again.  And yes, my number's on the DNC list.

They called this number in Arkansas. The owner of the number died last week. Don't they have any respect for anybody? DONOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!

that number is from a company name amwey in florida, and they probably got your number from a friend of yours, they want you to sale for them

My cell phone rang in the kitchen at 4:40 pm on Feb 5 today in SC.  I was in my office.  I picked up my home phone to make a call and heard that there was a message on my home phone.  Instead of hitting the message prompt numbers I hit *69 which gave me the last incoming call phone number and it repeated my cell phone number calling my home phone at 4:40 pm on Feb 5.  I ran to look at my cell to see the number that had rung on my cell phone and it was this 4078564219 number...NOW HOW CAN THAT BE???  I wasn't even using my cell phone and I was already home so I would not calling from my cell phone to my home phone from home no matter what time of the day!   This is really off the wall...what on earth is going on?  I'm going to call my phone co in the am.

I just got a call today in Clarkridge/Mountain Home Arkansas at 2:21pm telling me that I have won an Orlando trip my id number was 167 press 1 to speak to a live agent now. After that I hung up. I never even spoke to a person it was a recording. I think all these numbers are just trying to steal our identity.

Called Alabama in the middle of the night twice!!!!

PLease explain to me why ou would EVER return a call that was UNKNOWN and left a blank message?  This is why you get these calls.  The bots automatically call numbers to see if they are valid.  If you answer they can now sell your number to telemarketers.  If you call back they have your ID.
