They are harrasing me! I've requested several times that they take me off the call list. They say yes and then I keep getting calls. They call between 4 and 5 times a day. HELP!!!

The man, "David", who answered the phone this last go around was very rude to me as well...they should be put out of biz!

Here is the scoop on Vehicle Protection Service (real company name is Warranty Alliance Group, LLC dba: Absolute Auto Protection ). The physical address is 15991 Redhill in Tustin, CA and this is where their call center is.  They are formerly Direct Protect Auto Warranty but changed the name because of an F rating with the BBB.  They will call you from 407-896-9899 but you cannot star 69 the call, for good reason. Unless you show interest to buy you will not know who is really calling you.  Vehicle Protection Services is just a front name because they do not want you to know who they really are unless you show interest in the warranty.

They get your phone number from various sources that SELL YOU OUT (ie: your car rental company, insurance agents and the actual dealership that sold you the car and the mechanic who works on your car—this is how they have your cell phone numbers and/or work number).  You will be called more times than you can count. If asked to be placed on the DNC list, it is simply ignored 99% of the time unless you put up such a fuss that you will find them and report them will the call center manager delete your name and number himself, otherwise you will be redialed in the very near future, perhaps the very same week. The call center auto dials you and about 50,000 others DAILY. Out of those 50,000 calls maybe 100 people will express some sort of interest and only about 6 or 7 will actually sell and 1 or 2 of those will

This same company also Robo-Calls under the name of Vehicle Protection Center where a call center employee will say in about 10 seconds: “Hi, this is Joe Blow from Vehicle Protection Center with a very important call regarding your vehicle” and then will throw you into a Robo-Call stating that your warranty is about to expire.  Under the LAW they need to give you an option to opt out of the call before hearing the recording but employees are told to quickly state who they are as quickly as possible and throw your call into the Robo-Call before you can get a word in edgewise. As I have read, the fine is up to 16,000 per illegal call but if they are dialing you from a number you cannot trace, well, they get away with it.  They call this type of dialing, “Car Wash” in their system, however they do not have a name or make or model of your car. It is just blind dialing and they make about 8,000 calls per day on Car Wash.  What is 8,000 calls x $16,000 per day in fines?

If you want the real phone number to Absolute, the phone number is 888-370-1085. Maybe they should be harassed as much as they harass the general public.

Car warranty is driving us crazy too.  They not only call our house, but have gotten our cell phone numbers.  I saved their number on the cell and gave them a no ring, so I would know not to answer, and guess what, they called on two more different numbers.  If these people should be charged with harrassment.  Here are the numbers they used. 1-800-977-9554,1-866-489-5687, 1-806-785-6596.How many numbers do they have? This is totaly out of control.

I get DAILY nuisance calls regarding car warranty extension on my cell phone.   They come from different states every time (NB, CA,  NM,  TX,  NC, GA,  you name it!)   The last call was today 4/27/09.  When I press "1" and ask how to stop these calls, they hang up after only a word or 2.  HOW DO I STOP THIS?

These are the nuttiest pack of crooks I've ever seen. I am enjoying the living heck out of calling them every 3-minutes now (thanks ATT for that unlimited LD package) and asking about warranty coverage for my 1952 Kaiser Frasier sedan. It results in an automatic hangup.

I got this call too. They have called me about 4 to 5 times every other day and when I first got the calls I just pressed the button to get my number off their list but they just kept calling. When I pressed the number to talk to someone I asked to talk to a manager and was hung up on. I called the number on my caller id again and asked for a manager and was once again hung up on. The third time I called I politely asked to not be hung up on and to talk to the manager and got a rude retort that she didn't hang up on me and that she had just "failed to transfer the call". She transfered my call and no one answered. I can't get them to leave me alone! They call constantly, They've even called at midnight a few times.

Called #57 and reported this to my phone company.  I have reported this company now on 1-8-2008, 1-15-2008, and 1-16-2008.
Then dialed #69 and got their phone number.
I have before the above dates made many, many requests to be removed from their list.  It does absolutely no good.  Their machine keeps on calling.  In the call on January 8, 2008, I asked the man who answered the phone and he said his name is David.  I asked for his supervisor and he said he is the supervisor.  I told him to remove my number again.  He then proceeded to ignore this request and wanted to know information above my car so that he could look up the warranty information.  I told him I would not give him any information like that.  He said there was no point in talking.  I said there was and that it was I wanted him to get my phone number removed from his list.  He laughed.  He hung up the phone.  I #69 again and he answered the phone.  He hung up.  I tried to call back but someone would just answer the phone and not say anything.  I could hear people in the back ground.  The name of the company on 1-16-2008 that he used was Vehicle Protection Services.
I'm tired of this and am now having every call traced using #57.  For some reason, this service did not work on the call of 01/16/2008.  I have been advised that if I can trace the number three times I can enlist the assistance of law enforcement.  I am going to write the Secretary of State of Florida and the Secretary of State of Oregon and the State Attorney office of each and carbon my representatives.  I am tired of this guy and his company calling at all hours and wasting my time.  I have tried for months to be courteous.  That has simply not worked.
Also, the car that they are trying to get information on is a PT Cruiser that we purchased.  I am not sure how they got the information; whether through the dealership that sold it or state records.  Regardless, I will not be buying another Daimler-Chrysler product again.  Perhaps if enough consumers do likewise, the car manufacturers might get involved - even if they were not the ones supplying the information.
I'm just sick and tired of hang ups, and rude solicitors.

Ok if you call the number back and tell them that you would like to get taken off the list they will say they are going to close the account. Then I called back to see what would happen after the account closed since it is all computerized.  It routed me over to some manager and I brought up the website complaints and the constant harrasment.  He took my cell phone off and my home phone off and was left with the understanding that if I receive another call, legal action will be taken.  I will let you know if they call again.

SCAM, they keep calling my house, harassing my kids if they answer the phone! I have told them repeatedly to stop calling, and they told me they WILL NOT stop. I have been researching on the internet, they are located in Orlando. I got ahold of a man who I thought was connected to the #. He said about 4 years ago he rcvd angry calls from people and he located a buisness called Dealer Services group out of Orlando as being the culprit. I cannot locate a buisness by that name-but am trying....

The law states that the first time you ask to be taken off a list that by law you should be removed. For every call after that you are intitled to a $500 payment each. Contact an Attorney to find out more, But you will need pictures of the phone numbers on your caller id as evidence. Should be an easy case if you have that.

they got many different numbers  with the same warrantry message.  pressing 3 to have your number taken off their list does no good.  pressing 1 to talk to someone puts you on hold and no one comes on or you get hung up on when you ask questions another number is 9098428125.  I'm keeping a log and will list every one if there is ever an end to this!!

Oh my gosh, the people that call from (407) 869-9899 / Warranty Depot are harrasing me! They call between 4-5 times a day. I've requested several times to be taken off their call list. The last go around I told them that I'd report them to the BBB. However, I can't find this company listed anywhere. If anyone knows where they are let me know!

They have called me twice now.  I have asked to be removed from their list twice.  This last time I asked for a supervisor and was politely hung up on.  So, I called back again and again and again.  I finally spoke with David who asked ME why I was wasting HIS time....and he was serious, because I asked him if he was.  They won't call me again.  I heard all of the callers reciting my number.  They probably think I am a lunatic, but hey whatver gets the job done.  =)
