I'd like to know who's texting me....
Frosty 2011-06-06 20:48:10 Unknown
I got a text from this number too. You guys figure it out yet?
Polly 2011-06-06 20:48:10 Unknown
Yes, I would like more info before I call back, please.

This number is a part of Applicant Services, a new service that matches up jobseekers with employment opportunities. We receive resumes of people seeking employment from all over the country. When you call in, we ask you for some basic information -- never your social security number or anything similar -- and match you up with jobs that meet your criteria for employment. We do this as an absolutely free service to jobseekers. There will never be any charge, and we will never ask you for any sensitive or billing information.

I called the number in the text message and talked to Anna. I think she gave me some good suggestions. After 10 months of searching for a job, I'm ready to get back out there!

Called back and talked to Anna. The entire conversation took maybe 10 minutes. I'm excited to see what she comes up with.

Update: I think they want us to go to their web site instead of calling back.

Anybody else get a text like this?
FuseEnt 2010-05-04 15:05:53 Unknown
Yes, it appears that they are just directing you to the website now.
Miranda 2010-05-03 20:34:43 Unknown
It sounds like instead of calling a number you go to a web site. It's easier.
Fraser 2010-05-03 19:02:16 Unknown
I don't think so. It still about jobs, right?
Edgar 2010-05-03 17:44:45 Unknown
I just got a text and it directed me to a website. It doesn't sound like what's being described here, so is this different?
TxBella13 2010-05-03 17:38:16 Unknown
I just got off the phone with them so I can give a first hand account. So far, everything they say is on the money. They very plainly state that they are trying to match you with jobs and that the questions they are asking will help do that. Mostly it's just confirming that everything is spelled correctly, but they do get in to a few other things like your education, job preferences and such. They said they would be sending me an email with my matched jobs, so we'll see how well they do.

Awesome! Thanks!
Trey 2010-04-29 15:31:39 Unknown
They gave a number to call back though, right?
Miami mama 2010-04-28 20:12:15 Unknown
I called Anna back after she texted me. She was friendly and eager to help. I think she gave me some good leads. Hopefully one works out!

I called this number the other day and talked to Anna. She was really helpful. Hopefully, some of the leads you gave me will work out. Wish me luck!

Well, my text said it was about jobs if I were still interested, which pretty much matches up with what was posted above.
Marie 2010-04-28 18:29:09 Unknown
Thanks for clearing that up I was wondering!
O_o 2010-04-27 20:50:13 Unknown
Anyone that is professional would not send a text message. Hope you didn't give her too much information "Jimi."
Jimi 2010-04-27 20:48:11 Unknown
I got a text from a woman named Anna and called back. She asked me a couple of questions to help match me with jobs and confirmed my contact info. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.
Naomi 2010-04-27 19:54:10 Unknown
What are they looking for?
Rebel Rebel 2010-04-27 19:03:06 Unknown
Why don't they just call us directly?
Peanut 2010-04-27 17:22:57 Unknown
No caller ID.
Chipmunk 2010-04-19 18:37:20 Unknown
They want us to call back, about what, I'm not really sure.
Barnacle5 2010-04-19 18:10:50 Unknown
What's up with these texts? What do they want?
