Yes, this number has called three times, actually four now. Call #3 I asked repeatedly for them not to call and to remove me from their list. The scumbag said that he didn't have to because they weren't selling anything.

Number 407 924-3815 keeps calling my number, but the number they are calling is my ringmaster number, saying they will give me tips to reduce my electric bill. I keep telling them I don't want or need this service.
Ask to be removed from their list and am advised there is no list.
Now I'm connecting my Fax machine to answer the ringmaster number on 2 rings. I can't stop them from calling but at least I can give them a piercing Data sound. LOL.

....yet another number to block -- maybe they will get a tzar to stop all calls unless authorized. The burden of sorting out if the caller had the right to call you is so great that it would be a full time job for many of us to do that work. Further, if they normally do have the right, notifying them not to call is likewise so time consuming that it is not worth the time that would take. Even if effective, often other organizations would then get your number the next day and so the call would, and don't ever stop.
The problem we have today is the machine or person callers that either do not identify themselves, mask who they are, or would require so much work from the consumer to officially notify them not to call, to make that an impractical means of stopping someone from calling.
-- email spam is better at stopping harassment, and you can't even track them
-- calls can be traced, so.... make it MANDATORY that ANY company that telemarkets or makes calls for a living MUST FIRST check to see if their number or company has been blocked by the number they are calling!! This is easy to do, easy for the caller to check, either via typing the number into a government website or through their PBX.
This would have been impossible before everything was online. Today however, ALL call centers use computers that very easily could check the government database.
The DO NOT CALL list needs to ADD a list of otherwise acceptable calls that I can block by MY number or MY account.
For those companies that call from 5,000 different numbers, they too can be traced to a single company, and all the numbers from that company could be also blocked.
