The hope is that you will call back and or search for phone number info via the internet. This is how they narrow down your identity for their databases. You call back - active line confirmed.
You happen upon "caller-id.co" and fall for their "free" trace - you are really helping them trace YOU and now they are a step closer to linking your phone# to your Facebook account.
If they buy/trade databases with sites similar to this one - ip address + any other personal info you chose to share with other poor helpless victims of privacy theft... oh wait, it's not theft if you hand it to them as a sweet tasty treat (even if you are unaware that you are doing so).
Information = resource
You = fertile landscape just begging to be strip mined.
Your frustration and loss = someone else's profit
Fellow humans, please don't practice/contribute cannibalistic ideas/acts.

I also received a call. I was not able to pick it but they didnt leave any voicemail. And, when i called back it said "this number is no longer is service, please check the number and dailagain"
