"Rachel" from "card holder services"...I pressed 1 to speak to a live person (YET AGAIN) and asked to be removed from their list. I hung up before "she" (NOT RACHEL) could respond. Telemarketers must earn a living...I understand...BUT come on...once on the "do not call list", it would appear that the calls would slow down. NOT!

On March 2, at 3:42 pm, I had a call recording asking if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rate.  This same place has called several times before so instead of hanging up, I pushed 9 as requested to speak to someone.  I asked the man where he was calling from and his name.  He had a Middle Eastern accent and said his name was Ronnie Garcia, and he was from Mutual Consolidated Savings.  I asked what # he was calling from and was given 800-943-3250.  I asked him what state he was calling from and how the weather was there, he told me Detroit, and it had been raining.  I live an hour from Detroit and knew that wasn’t true, and told him so.  I then told him that this was some sort of a scam, why was he calling, we are on the Do Not Call List, and don’t want to be harassed by their calls anymore.
He got upset and said to me “Oh did you call me because you wanted to such my c**k.”  I got really upset and was trying to tell my husband what he was saying.  I don’t have speaker phone, and in the meantime this man was going on and on.  When I put the phone to my ear again he was saying something about “you want me to eat your pussy.”
I was very upset and asked to speak to his supervisor, who told me his name was Sam Raz.  He asked me to repeat what the other man had said to me, so it could be recorded.  When I asked why he replied, “so we can kick his a**.”
Our caller ID shows the call came from Orlando, Fl. and the # was 407-999-8888.  When I called it back a recording says it is disconnected or no longer in service.
I am very upset about this terrible incident and I still am still traumatized by this experience.  I am just in disbelief that this happened and can’t stop thinking about it.   How many other women have experienced such verbal sexual harassment from MCS and are afraid, embarrassed or don’t know how to report it?  Something needs to be done about these people.

Got a call from the same number. In this case it was a advertisement to lower credit dept.. A tactic that I use which is half way true is to pick up, explain in a firm but professional tone that I am on the no-call list and I work for the US government in the OCC anti-fraud department and then (depending on them) something to the extent that I will be reporting to work in the morning and putting my "anti-fraud" team to work on shutting them down. For some reason they hang up fairly quickly and I hardly ever get repeat phone calls.

I got a call a short time ago, today, March 15, 2009 from 407-888-9999. When I answered a recorded message stating that I could lower my credit card interest rate (I don't have a credit card). I pressed the number to speak to a person and some Indian guy answered. I asked what company he was calling for and he hung up on me. I am on the National Do Not Call list.

Someone has to stop these scumbags. My bet is they're some off-shore Indian group trying to prey on Americans.

I got the call today and it was about lowering my credit card rate. I pressed nine like everyone else because I am on the do not call list. He said he was from Mastercard and kept asking me for my card information and name. It is a total scam!

I was told it was about lowering my credit card interest. I said, "Which card?" A man with a heavy (Indian?) accent said, "Your Visa and your Mastercard." I asked, "A card I already have?" He said, "Yes, exactly, a card you already have." I asked, "Which Visa and Mastercard?," and then he rattled off a bunch of bank names. Obviously a fraud. I told him to take me off the list and never call me back.

Anytime there are repeated numbers such as above, the call is probably a scam. This is why we have Caller ID Deluxe. This call is supposedly from FLA.

got a call from 407-888-9999 on both of my numbers today.  Both started with a recording that I won a free all inclusive vacation.  First guy told me he wanted to blast my a** off when I pressed him for details about what company he was calling from.  Second guy would also not tell me what company  other than Holiday Inn Florida and told me to go f*uck myself.  Nice solicitors.  Anyone know what the real company is as these guys are rude and beligerant.

Credit card phishing scam. Don't ever press a number!...then they can claim you have a "business relationship" with them. The government needs to step in and put these people to sleep.

They are Mutual Consolidated Savings. They also call from 234-567-8900

Please complain to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) using this link

https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx

Please keep complaining, especially those who had fraudulent charges on their credit card.  This is not only limited to those who had fraud on their credit card but you can also complain about dishonest sales practice (they claim they are from your credit card company) or agressive Marketing (too aggressive!)  or they say there will be no charge but you get a $900 surprise on your credit card bill.  Please make sure you answer ?no? to the 5 first questions otherwise they refer you to other agencies.

I also found some interesting information at the following link:

http://www.bbb.org/western-washington/busines ... oma-wa-27028696

?BBB processed a total of 93 complaints about this company in the last 36 months?  hmmmm...    well what do ya know.

Please join me!  Let?s make that number increase from 93 to over 100 complaints, to over 1000 complaints!  Their rating is C- but some times goes down to D minus.  Time to get back at them.  Maybe it does not change anything but at least these bottom feeders will be exposed for what they are.   Scammers.

Got a call from 407-999-8888, recognized the Florida area code, and knew many of these "407" numbers are telescamers.  The caller hung up after hearing a portion of my answering machine message.  My number that was called is my business number, and many times the incoming call can be from a customer.  So, I can't simply ignore every call from a suspect area code.  Here is where my answering machine and call screening equipment comes into play.  I simply don't pick up on the phone until after the 4th ring, if at all.  If it is a legitimate call, the customer would leave a message in response to my recorded message advising I can't take the call at that time.  If I see the "call active" light still on after the message, I can pick up the phone and monitor the conversation, breaking in as needed to speak with the customer, or let them leave a note, or determine if it is a telemarketer/scam artist.  I can also activate the call screening/reject system that will remember the call (if the caller ID has usable information) and thereafter pick up on the 1st ring, advising the caller "You are not authorized to call this number."  The reject system keeps record of every time the same number call again.  Amazing how some of the A--holes running the scams keep calling again, and again, always to get the same reject notice.

I tried calling back 407-999-888 and got the expected triple beep and "number no longer in service or disconnected" auto response.

Received this number on my cell phone at 4:00 on a Sunday, automated message said that my credit card wanted to offer me a lower interest rate, pressed 9 , heard the voice of a foreigner and I hung up. I cannot believe that people can be allowed to do this. I'm so glad this website is available for people to share their experiences!

I received a call about 7:30 PM saying I could lower my interest rate on my credit card to 6.9% just press 9 to be connected to a live agent.  So I pressed 9 to try to talk to someone and get off the list.  when the person came on the line they were speaking some foreign language.  I just hung up.  After thinking about it for a few minutes, it freaked me out as a few years back this kind of scam was going around and when you pressed 9 they could make international calls on your phone and you wouldn't know it until you got the bill.
I sent am email to my phone provider.  I asked to have all international calls blocked on my phone.
I also put a block on the 407 999 8888 number on my phone.
