The number 201-340-1004 has been calling my personal cell for over a month. Sometimes several times a day.  My cell has NEVER used a tex free service or this Co. called Pinger. There really should be a way to stop stop these company's/people from calling & harassing everyone.

They keep calling me multiple times a day. "Your friends at Pinger are calling!" I keep pressing "2" indicating that I have not signed up, and it just hangs up, and sometimes they call right back. It's almost a daily occurrence. I need to block this number, it's ridiculous.

I honestly think there needs to be a way to legally file for harassment with this sort of thing. It's the same thing as trespassing onto someone's property and soliciting on their porch five times a day.

I always get 'unknown caller' and then random numbers that come from a variety of areas - mostly in California.

Does anyone know if that's just an unusual amount of crank calls, or someone actually trying to contact me [selling me things]

Yeah it's true this is the caller ID displayed when the real caller ID is blocked, and also in some cases when the caller is international. Maybe it's also used by pinger when they need to contact you.

That is how Pinger sends a message to your mobile device to credit your free minutes.

if you block the call your ipod should go back up to speed sense u can get calls or text from a blacked call

this number comes up when i person tries to call your textfree number from a blocked phone number.  It used to just say you missed a call from a private/unknown number, but now this number comes up instead.

Above poster seems to be correct that this is Pinger (the maker of the textfree app.)  Considering I text for free and amassed a bunch of free voice minutes, I'm willing to put up with an occasional call from them :)

Got Textfree message from this number saying "Just called you at your Textfree number". Replied back "Do I know u?" and got a error message "Your message did not go through. Please make sure it's a valid mobile number and try again."

They called me at my textfree app today while i was at work.

Have gotten three calls to my text-free number over the past several days.  I will add it to my do not call list.

Received a call moments ago--no idea who it is from.  Assuming these are spam calls, I will stop using TextFree if this continues, obviously.

BTW, my iPod Touch 4th Gen is so slow that I never actually am able to pick up the call before it's gone.

Apparently it's Pinger...but why the F*** are they contacting me? Has anyone else besides me been harassing people from the app? That MIGHT be why..........
