This may be a strange question, but do you still have the number that called you? I used to do that job. I was a telemarketer back in 1995. All the numbers where generated by a computer at the time. If someone I called wanted to be removed from the calling list, we were to hang up, contact a supervisor, and they manually removed the number from the computer. The reason I am asking for the number, is because I need to contact them about a situation from when I was working there.

FYI, back then the main boss was a real jerk! Maybe they still are. I lasted about 3-4 months on the job before I got fired, came back, got fired again, then quit. hahaha.

I did get a CALL ID: MEDIA PROMOTION on my phone...

And no I just hung up on whomever  i trying tp pedal something via phone

The Number calls my cell phone every 2 hours.. whne you answer no one there.

Find it out from the missed call list, that 408-451-0205 has been calling my office phone for quite a few times. Going to report to BBB.

I got 3 calls today on my cell from 408-451-0205.  I did answer the phone each time and, although I could hear clearly a conversation going on, nobody responded to my "hello, hello".  
How can I have my name removed form their list?

Called once before and pretty much insisted upon me subscribing to their newspaper. No thank you!

And yes, its the Chronicle / San Jose Mercury News or their call center. Very annoying

They have been calling me for a couple weeks, I have never answered until today. They don't leave messages and when I answered they hung up on me.

I called back and it said the number is disconnected.

Can we stop them from calling?

They have called me a bunch of times soliciting for newspapers. I have a VOIP service, so I just went online to my account and added that number to the blocked number list. No more newspaper solicitations for me!

I didn't answer this call.  Any way to stop this kind of phone calls at all?

BTW, how did some of you find the details of the caller other than having caller ID?  Can you search such info on the Internet?

This number left a message and it was a conversation between a guy and a girl and apparently the girl was a backstabber of some sort. No idea, very confusing.

Asked me to subscribe to the newspaper for 77 cents a paper. Really rude. When I told him I did not want to subscribe to it, he asked me "When was the last time you read a newspaper?" I hung up on him that instant.

These people cal a couple times a week, and I paid for a unlisted number just 2 months ago, given out to a couple relatives only.

They call numerous times during the day. I was at home today and picked up but they had hung up!

I called them back.  It is the Chronical/San Jose Mercury Newspapers wanting you to subscribe.  I am on the do not call list. Ha!  I just got another call from them.  I will be reporting them.

This number calls both my home phone and my business phone. They sometimes call up to 4 times a day, but never leave a message. They hang up as soon as they hear the answering machine.
