Received a call from this number, let it go to voice mail but did not leave a message.  ID says SNJS WEST CA..  Called the number back and got a recording regarding Magic Jack.

I got a call from these guys as well. Heavy Indian accent saying his name was "Jack Thompson". I had to laugh at that. The Thompson's of India...yeah, right. Anyway, I kept the guy on the phone for about 5 or 6 minutes making fun of him and saying the most ridiculous things (We record our calls so it's fun to listen to later). He called back two more times asking for different coworkers by name, but saying his name was Paul. Not even good at it. I look at these calls as a stress relief, because I get to abuse someone on the phone and waste their time, with no fear of reprecussions.

I have been harassed by calls from this number for months now.  When they are calling they call multiple times each day.  If I hang up the immediately call back.  I have asked to have my number removed from their calling lists.  I have informed them that they are calling my cellphone.  Once I even gave them the information they were looking to confirm, they already had the information seemed pretty pointless, I just hoped it would end the calls.  I have now taken to telling them it is the wrong number, which I thought finally stopped the calls but now they have started again in earnest.

The call is always the same.  They are calling from Dell/Focus/Ingres or some other major IT firm.  They just want to send me a white paper and confirm my information.  They already have the information they are looking to confirm.  The one time I confirmed my information, I never received a white paper.  The information they wanted was my name, company, position and email address.  When told they have the wrong number they ask to be transferred.  When told it is a cellphone and not a business they hang up.

They call at all hours of the day.  Today they called at 7:13 A.M., 11:10 A.M., 2:43 P.M..  Yesterday they called at 11:38 A.M.

Caller was probably from an offshore call center, said he wanted to send me a free white paper from HP on some type of data storage system. I'm not in IT, and the company is small, so I asked him to remove my name from his list. He hung up on me. I get at least two of these calls a week even after asking to be removed. If anybody from HP is listening -- this doesn't boost your image in my mind!

Got a couple of calls today 12/8/2011.  Guy with heavy Indian accent.  Claims he's from BBB and wants to know about Postage Machines we're using.  Told him not to call again.

We have gotten about five calls from this company today (12/5/11) that shows up as being "California 408-459-2892" and he says he's calling from Microsoft and that we're a current customer.  He asks for (the name of )our IT Manager (but pronounces his name wrong) and says that our contract ends today & if he doesn't talk to (our IT manager) within in an hour, or rates will go up.  I checked with our IT manager and it's not a legitimate call and I refused to put the call through.  It is a man with an Indian accent and he's extremely pushy.

Received a call from this number again, did not answer. As suspected they did not remove me from their call list. Do not answer if called by this number!

Female caller with east indian accent saying she was from HP and wanted to e-mail me information. I cut her off and asked to be taken off their call list. Yeah, like that is going to happen. I should not have answered the call in the first place. This is the second time I have received such a call from the 408 area code. Scam for sure.

After getting 100 calls from this number and them refusing to take me off the list, I called DELL direct and they told me they are aware that phishing attempts are being made under the guise of being from DELL.

I was advised to ask for the badge ID number of the employee, and if it is a real DELL employee they will be able to furnish it.

Other than that, they said there is nothing they could do, as the calls are not originating from DELL.

a man with a very heavy accent said he was returning a call to the IT Director.  When asked for a name he gave the name of someone who has not worked for our company in over a year.  EXTREMELY rude and repetitive phone calls.  When I tried to get more information he became agitated and said he would call 10 times in a row until I transferred him to someone in IT.

Caller said they were Amanda with the BBB, then wanted to speak with the person who handles our postal meter. Then asked for my name even though I had said it when I answered.

Got a call from this number and she said she was with the BBB and needed info about our postage machine.  I tried to call back the number and it's just a voicemail that's very hard to understand and the mailbox is full.

Called said his name was Mike from Focus asking for our IT director. I asked what it was regarding and he hung up. Rude guy and wont quit calling.

Calls from this number a quickly followed by a blocked number call.  Twice this week

called @ 9:30 on 11/2/11 and 9:45 on 10/27/11 asking for a couple different employees. The caller said he was from DELL when I asked him who was calling, Caller ID indicated SNJS West. Told him to take our number off his list and I hung up

This guy also called me, said he was from the Better Business Bureau and wanted to ask me questions regarding my postage machine.  I told him I don't use a postage machine, I use on line postage.  Hung up on him, he called back two more times, I hung up both times.  Then I called the number that showed up on my caller ID, the voice mail was in some unknown language, definately not California.

This guy called me three times and asked about my postage machine, first time I told him I don't have a postage machine, I use on online postage service.  Got two more calls from the same guy, I told him to stop calling here, that I don't have a postage machine.  I hung up on him all three times.  Then shortly thereafter I got a call from a guy from Jamaica supposedly from homeland security in DC. regarding Western Union,  I laughed and said "you're calling from Jamaica" and spoke English very poorly.  What the heck is going on here??

A woman called claimed to be from the Better Business Bureau and said she needed to know if we used a postage machine or if we purchased stamps.  I asked her why the BBB would need to know this.  She said the rules had changed and if we used a postage machine she would send the new rules.  (unfortunately for her, I am smart enough to know this call would never come from the BBB).  I asked for her name - she gave Amanda Joseph. I advised her that I had her number from my caller ID and that I would call her back to confirm she was who she said she was before giving out any company information and hung up the phone.

Received several calls from this number.  Caller asked to be transferred to IT manager said he works for Microsoft and would stop all Microsoft at our company is we did not transfer him.  He's called back several times tying to get additional information from our receptionist.

Caller's accent made it difficult to understand; it sounded like he said his name was Dan and that he was calling from "IT World."  He wanted to speak to our IT manager.  I told him she was busy and asked if he'd like to leave a message; he offered to stay on hold until she was available.  I advised against that, and he said he'd call back in ten minutes.  :/

Same phone number today 408-459-2892 calling for the same person they do not need, trying to convince me they were informed to send him an email regarding a wellness packet? Everytime i ask exactly what they do he will no explain and kept being rude to me. I passed it to my boss and he told him in what matter would our company ever need or use his services yet still wouldnt explain to him the full details. Saying they want to send out a free pamphlet yet we all know in life there is nothing FREE. He hung up.

These people call the office about once or more a day. Always looking for a co-worker of mine that may have handle the IT services back in the day but has nothing to do with it now. I told the guy (with the same heavy accent) that he is in a meeting and what can i do for you? He said that he is looking for whomever handles the IT Services and I said that the guy he wanted has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with IT Services and that all of our IT is outsourced. And he kept asking for the same person and asked when the meeting will be over. I said once again you are asking for someone that has nothing to do with this and our services are outsourced that means we dont need no service and hung up. The number shows up as CALIFORNIA 408-459-2892

I also got a similiar call the other day from CALIFORNIA 562-906-2020 a lady that said she was with Dell and wanted to speak with the same man. And i said that he has nothing to do with our computer services and we are currently using an outsourced company who handles all our technology needs and we are in no need of anything at this time. She says well i want to speak to a Manager. I said NO! Repeated the same thing. She says well ma'am you dont even know why I am calling. I said YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE CALLING FOR! Like i said we do not need your services and hung up. She immediately called back and said that she wants to speak to a manager. I said no, and i do not appreciate you calling my Company and being so rude to me. We are not interested and hung up. When i googled that number it listed (2) Companies with that same number which is actual Vendors of our Company yet they have nothing to do with DELL or IT Services.

This person has called several times this week but doesn't even say a word, just hangs up.

this guy calls me regularly asking to update company info..when he first contacted me years ago..He wanted to know how many computers...what OS..how many printers..what kind and so on. After that I realized it was funky and told him that company policy restricted me from giving out that info. this hasnt stopped him from calling about three times a year. Yes he had a very think accent.

Just got a call from this number.... he wouldn't tell who he was or why he was calling, just kept telling me that I had a nice voice. Hung up on the creep twice... the third time he called I refused to answer the phone.

The same guy called me this morning and then again this afternoon.  I can tell from his heavy accent.  He said that he was from Dell.  Phone number that showed up (408) 459-2892.  He is using Magic Jack to get a local number.

Female called from this number asking for someone who hasn't worked at the company for 10+ years.  I THINK she said "are you the one who replaced him?", but I said "excuse me?" to clarify and she hung up on me.

The above number has contacted our office 22 times in the last 15 minutes...
He will not take no for an answer and he is at the point of harassment

i believe caller is in cyber crime from another country looking to sabotage U.S company's and is gathering information by just calling
