Who are you and why are you are calling me?  If your sales, I'm not interested so please don't call me again

I've just got a call from them this morning. (March 1st, 9:50AM PST). Didn't pick it up, they didn't leave a message.

I received a call from them last night.  I did not pick up, and no message was left.

We received a call from them last night, and again this morning.  They've called numerous times in the past when we weren't home.  We didn't pick up, and they left no message.

We are getting calls at least once a day from this number, and they never leave a message.  We won't answer.

Stange call, no one was answering phone when I picked up.

I actually answered the phone. I had never seen this name or number before but I usually answer local calls.  Fortunately for me the line was dead. I will assume it was a robo-call and I was not the first one to answer. I will not be answering in the future as I have learned this is a fund-raising organization and I do not give through 3rd parties when I can help it.

called again for the 3rd or 4th time.  didn't answer and they left no message.

Getting too many calls from this number using the caller ID PBIS.  Who the hell are they?  How can we stop them?

8/15/08-PBIS has called my numer every day since 8/11/08. The first time, I answered, and it was an automated recording about tickets for some unspecified event. At the end of the recording, you are instructed to press pound or something if you want to be removed from their list.  When pound is pressed, the mailbox is "full"--meaning, of course, that they can say they never received your request.

I received two calls this evening. I live in los gatos and I've seen this come up on caller id before. I checked on google and it took me straight to this blog. I won't answer them either and I'm also on the do not call list.

So much for the list...

I've received several calls from PBIS 408-496-2676. Whether I answer or not, they hang up. I called them back once, and got the same creepy recording that many others have reached about a seemingly bogus fundraiser. I didn't leave my information on their machine, because I was sure it was some kind of scam. They say that their 'members' are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry. This is only true if they are indeed a charity organization. I've had many other charities call me for donations (which I don't mind), but they never call so incessantly only to hang up. These people are definitely not on the level.

Me again - got two calls in the last two days from this number...

Called ID said 1-408-496-2676 and the person who called said they were calling from Santa Clara County Peace Officer.

Got a call from PBIS tonight and answered knowing what other's experiences had been.  Guy said he was calling from the Santa Clara County Peace Officers Association and wanted to sell tix to some Hollywood night of "entertainment and magic".  If I couldn't go I could sponsor some of the children on his "list."  I asked for a number to call them back as I didn't have time to talk and he gave me this number 559 221 5003.  I asked him what the area code was and he said he was in San Joaquin Valley.

They are calling a few times a day.  Since we see the caller ID we never answered.  Can we get the Attorney General to stop them?

Got a call from this number 1 minute ago, googled it to find out who it is, and didn't answer.   I am living on the East coast and it's 9:30pm - and the number was not stored in my phone (which means I likely didn't know them) - they also didn't leave a message.   Totally annoying!

received a call from this number on a FRIDAY night 8:00 pm.  we answered out of curiousity and they identified themselves as from teh sherrifs department, looking for $$.  selling tickets to something? weird.

just got a call from 408-496-2676, it's 8:58 pm. not the first one from "PBIS". i never answer a number i don't recognize. why doesn't SBC do something about these guys? I'm on all the DNC lists.

Got the call. Could not identify it. Did not pick up. And, no message was left. My phone number is on the do-not-call list. Feel bad about receiving such a call.

I received the call today from PBIS (408) etc.. thanks to this site I knew about it (because I have seen the caller before) and didn't answer. Pretty cool. thx.

Got a call from this number at 6:30pm.  They just hang up when I picked up.

I have cerebral palsy and it is difficult to go to the phone, I don't need this extraneous aggravation.

Please, I urge you, if you get an unwanted call, don't waste time trying to track these people down.  

Instead, simply call your federal level senators and house of representative members and indicate that that you are on the national do-not-call list and that you want the unwarranted "charitable" solicitation phone calls to stop coming into your home.

That is the only way to stop this type of activity.  If each time an unwanted call came through to your phone your senator got an angry call in response it wouldn't take long for them to get the message.

They called me at 8:52 PM. My answering machine answered and they hung up.

Similar to a caller above. 4/14/08 recieved call with PBIS as ID and the 408-496-2676. Guy tried to sell ticket to show on Aug 9 in benefit of local peace officers. $40 that covers the whole family. I am not going to call back , just report them to do not call registry.

Got a call from this #, a male voice said "How are you doing today?, I am calling from Santa Clara Sheriff's office", I immediately spotted it for similar calls asking for donation and hung up

We've been getting calls from PBIS for about a month.  They always call starting at about 9:00 p.m. and we'll get 3-4 calls from them within the following 15 minutes.  It is really annoying.  I finally answered the phone once and nobody was on the line...then the connection hung-up.  I called the number back and got the guy's message about leaving your name and number to go on their do not call list.  Their message box was full.  I was a little nervous about leaving my info. anyway...the guy sounded creepy.

i called pbis back. if you call you can request to be put on their do not call list. They claim their clients are exempt from the national do not call list.

Got a call which identified itself as PBIS with phone number 408 496 2676.  Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message.  Funny thing was they called on BOTH our phone lines within only a 1/2 hour of each other.  Didn't answer the call either time and no message left either time.  Both our numbers are on the do not call registry.  I'm glad I checked here and will continue not to answer when I see the PBIS ID.
