this guy just called me for the first time today they left me a voicemail about my sister saying she was named in a lawsuit with a finical instiution for fraud. I was told to call back David Black at 403-520-2483 they called from an unknown number i have no clue how they got my number at all. when i called back he would not give me any information about the lawsuit or the supposed company he just wanted me to have my sister call him. They have been harrassing her at her job and calling all of our family and friends. My sister told them to go to hell and they have been more arggressive since then. said they were they law offices of UNLV or something of the like i could barely understand him he had an indian/middle eastern accent could hear people in background with same accents coaching him

I'm so glad I found this website. Someone just called me from 4085202483 with indian dialect. They said they were from UNLV and a pending investigation was against my husband. He said his name was James something. A few weeks ago I was getting calls from a different number sounded like the same guy but his name was James Brown. LMAO. How original right? These people should get in huge trouble for harrasment.

Don't talk to them, don't argue with them just hang up. It's a scam and every second you spend with them just makes them think they can harass you into complying.

I've been receiving a call from Mr Jack Johnson for the last month and he keeps comin up with the same story every time regarding a loan i borrowed which is not true. He states that he is gonna tk me to court without giving me any information about the company nor the loan amount!! I told him to f..ck off and told him i will be waiting for the affidavit at my house and he got mad and hung up!!!Does anyone know how we can stop receving these bogus scam phone calls??

Like everyone else on here, my step-dad received a phone call from the same man. I'm so glad I found this. Unfortunately they already got money from him before we realized this was a scam. He is going to the bank tomorrow as soon as they open to try and get his money back. Hopefully it works.
But I e-mailed this man and he replied using improper English and was not professional at all. If he were a lawyer I'm sure he would reply with more than a third grade English level.

Please do not pay these people anything. If they have your current bank info shut it down. These people are professional theives and will drain your account. Ask lots of questions and you will see what happens, they will cuss you out and hang up. UNLV does not exist. they are probably calling from phone bank in India. They use a magic jack with USA phone numbers.

Crazy thing, I just received a call from him and he told me he was Jack Williams.  Man people are something.

NELL:     they called me again too and all i could do is laugh. sam wilson said he did not say anything funny and and told him-you exist and that is funny enough cuz you are not who you say you are and you are all lower then snakes and hung up. next few minutes my cell rang with numbers 111111111. i just deleted it. somehow these folks have to be stopped.

These people are definitely devils!  They are not worth the time it takes to answer the phone!  Please know that they are FAKE!!! What imposters they truly are....I heard names such as Josh Smith, Kevin McNaulty...you name it!!!  Let them know that they are idiots, cretins and morons....just hang up.  In the meantime you may want to change your bank account # or debit card information and just alert the bank to this mess!!!!  Good luck!

WEINER-Just got another call from these jerks. dont they ever listen or stop! the number came in on my cell as 1 and when i answered it,they ask if they could talk to me and i said no. they called back and i ignored the call. such scammers~~~

I received a call from a Roy Williams stating that I had a lawsuit pending..Roy Williams certainly sounds like the same foreigner that called me several months ago about I think it was something today with a payday loan,, I couldn't understand him well.

I could hear people in the background before Mr Roy Williams, excuse me, officer Roy Williams in reguards to a pending lawsuit. He also called my work.

I received a call from a number 315-551-5643 claiming their was a lawsuit filed and I could call back a different number 408-520-2483.  He told me he was calling from UNLV and his name was Jack Johnson.  If I did not call back then he was sorry to tell me that I was going to have to go to court.

I am getting calls from the same guys i would love to be able to find them and i am more than willing to pay for my own plane ticket.

I received a call from 408-520-2483 I am not sure how they had may name and address they did not have my full ssn#. They stated I was being sued and gave no specifics when asked.  I advised them I am a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) and have had several business law classes in grad school and advised them I received nothing in writing, stated this is a scam, requested no more calls and stated if I actually had owned some sort of debt they would have been required to follow the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) which requires proof of debt and the 'mini miranda' "Frank Johnson" -definitly a fake name then cussed at me and hung up. Wow, real professional.

received a message about internet fraud called and got rick said I had to send him 400 and something dollars or I WOULD BE DRAGGED BACK TO CA.

I started recieving the same calls last month/ March 2011! It is crazy that they would even attempt to scam. The man said I would loss my job, account, and anything else if I didnt settle an $8000 loan for like $500; who does that, I could not understand hima nd on top of that when I asked for copies or business he got smart:) WOW! Be aware they will stop calling for a few weeks then start back, go do a fraud alert ASAP!!

they keep calling my work and all my coworkers are getting sick of there bull. they ask to talk to me.but as it is i dont talk to them dont want to.but they keep calling. this has got to stop it is becomeing a problem at my work for me  and everyone else.the man that calls has a forain acent and is very rude to my coworkers.

We have recevied several call from this same number as well.  They claim to be George James.  Can't speak english worth a hoot.  Today it was Jack Matthews.  They claim to be bill collectors on a payday loan.  Demanding that we pay them $300 or they will file a theft charge on me in the courts of California.  He then read off some "official statement" with bad grammar and extremely hard to decipher due to the heavy accent.  Yesterday they called twice within a 3 hour time frame and when I told them they had just called and I had taken the message they argued with me that they had not called.  My husband called them back and they would give him no information, so he hung up.  He then called them back with his number blocked and they told him to F__k off and they hung up.  Very very suspicious!!!  Do Not Pay Them!!!!!

My father kept getting calls from this 408 number and even though my dad told them he couldn't understand them (because of the heavy Indian accent) they kept calling back.  He even asked them to transfer him to someone that spoke better English.  Finally, I took the call.  First "Clay Alison" insisted that he wouldn't talk to me but I refused to give the phone back to my dad.  Clay proceeded to tell me that my dad had two options for paying back a payday loan of $200 (fight it in court or pay right then).  I told them that he wasn't going to pay anything until he saw a copy of the law suit in writing.  Very angrily, Clay said that UNLD won't release any information on the phone, via email or mail.  I told them then he wasn't going to pay anything.  After going back and forth, they finally gave me a phone number to call so that we could verify that this was a legit company (408-520-2483) which was the same number they were calling from.  So, I asked for another company number or to transfer me to his supervisor.  He wouldn't do either. The call ended with his insistent that I call back tomorrow to settle the debt.  I have advised my dad to tell them that if there is any money due on his part, he will pay the company he borrowed if from and not a collector or law firm.  After that, if they keep calling to tell them that we will report them for harrasment or just hang up.

Word of warning, there is something very wrong with these phone calls and if you get them, don't let them harass you into a conversation.  Tell them to mail you documents and stop calling.

I keep getting these calls and from the number 8634381785 - same ppl.  They keep telling me the same thing they've told everyone else.  I contacted my local pd and they said there are numerous scams and since they are off shores, nothing can be done.  I have Verizon and had the numbers blocked, I work for the govt not sure they can block the number on my work phone - looking into that tomorrow.

These people (middle eastern accent) call me, and are now calling my poor sister & her husband who I listed as a reference. I wish someone could catch these losers.  Next time they call, I'm answering the phone as "Federal Bureau of Investigation, how may I help you?"  Idiots!

A call came into our office from this number asking for one of our employees. I told him we didn't process personal calls at the office. He got really nasty with me, so I hung up on him. He kept calling back screaming in the phone. I kept hanging up on him, but he called back every time. I sent him to our corporate office.

To day 's 06/05/2011 my boyfriend got the f***ing guy called too.But i asked where is he?and what is the name of his office call me?? Then he was quited so angry but he told me if i dont pay this loan i will go to the jail and police will visit me.So i told him.Ok i will wait them.Let you know that dont trust them that is a trap whom for people scare and they will give to them money ....nop dont do that .You calm down and decide so clearly.Be careful.

States he is a officer and that I received a grant that I never got or even applied for and I had to pay a $440 collection fee and that if I did not pay it I would go to jail he sounds like he is of african decent. Calls on weekend or start of the week, they call from many diffrent numbers and when I call back it a fraud. Party lines they even at time call from a local number but before I can anwser mu cell company send me a message that a caller is attempting to call me from a local number but they are not a local number. I am getting mad they call me and my job.

I am a police officer in Ohio. A resident reported being called from this number by a Frank Johnson with a foreign accent and emailed multiple times claiming he owed a debt. To help make it stop I sent an email to his address: unld@lawyer.com advising them that their methods didn't appear legal and asking them to contact me. Mr "Johnson" replied to my email wanting to verify my "batch" (badge) number. I replied encouraging him to look up my police dept to get the public number and call to verify my identity. I received an email back with F-bombs.  I will pass on whatever information I can to a federal agency.  Maybe with enough infomation it will lead to some charges.

I GOT THE SAME CALL FROM THE GUY NAMED JACK. HE SAID HE WAS FROM A LAW FIRM AND SAID THAT I WAS GETTING SUED FOR SOME CASH LOAN (THAT I NEVER DID) BUT THE STRANGE THING ABOUT IT WAS WHEN HE ANSWERED HE SAID HELLO AND SOUNDED VERY SLEEPY. I TOLD HIM THAT I RESEARCHED HIS NUMBER AND FOUND OUT IT WAS A SCAM AND THAT IM REPORTING OT TO THE FBI AND HE GOT MAD AND STARTED CUSSING ME. HE SAID HE KNOWS ALL THE FBI. I SAID "OH REALLY, THATS NICE. MAYBE THEY'LL GO A LITTLE EASIER ON YOU WHEN YOU GO TO THE PEN" HE GOT EVEN MORE ANGRY AND CUSSED ME SOME MORE. I THEN TOLD HIM " BYE NOW AND HAVE A BLESSED DAY"
