Recieved this on 11/8/10. Same thing, thanks for visiting website.

I keep receiving these text messages, "Thanks 4 visiting our website please call 877-861-8581 to claim your $100 Walmart gift card voucher! Reply STOP 2 Unsub".

How do I get them to stop? I don't want to respond to the number since this would let them know it is a valid number they are texting.

Do I contact my cell phone service provider to get these stupid spam messages to stop?

got this text on tuesday, and again today on Thursday. have been ignoring.
text from 4085208475, I got a text message from this number to call a 1-877 number saying i won a $100 gift card to walmart,  thanks for visiting their website.

i got the message after i had visited a website called 2freelaptops.com. there is a radio add that plays all day in my area. of course i should've known no one is going to just give away 2 labtops for free, but i couldnt resist to just try. DO NOT GO TO THIS WEBSITE!!! i am receiving one text after another from them. probably 5 to 10 times a day. i have replied STOP per their instructions and still keep recieving them. plus i get about 8 phone calls a day from a different number but for the same thing....a walmart gift card. i have learned my lesson. nothing in life is free....lol

I got a text message from this number to call a 1-877 number saying i won a $100 gift card to walmart, i called the 408-520-8475 number back and it had cris browns "dueces" as its ring tone! stupid scammers!

Stop replying. The biggest mistake is to text back. This lets the spammer know that the have a live audience and it may be profitable for them.

I received this text la week ago and although I am on the do not call registry, I receive at least one of these a month. I find it to be very irritating as I, like so many, have to pay per text. I tried responding "STOP" but all that seems to do is make them give out your number even more. So now I am getting them twice a day. Does anyone know the name of the company so they can be reported?

Had the same thing happen to me. It was a text message.

I just got the text message too, how did they get my number? I really hope junk mail doesn't turn into junk texts!

Since this is obviously a scam, I'm not going to respond at all.  I just hope this is the only one I get.

I was also just texted, and I do NOT having texting so will have to pay for an unwanted text message.

I got the same text on 8/22/10 and called the 877-220-2710 number and told I needed to spend $2.00 to get them. Told the guy I couldn't afford 2 dollars and could they wait till the beginning of the month. He said, "You can't afford 2 dollars?' I told him not till the beginning of the month and he hung up on me. Needless to say, that was very suspicious. Called the number back today and, guess what, not a valid number. Definitely has to be a scam.

I'm from the 408 area so I thought it could have been a legitimate text, but after reading these, this is probably a scam. Thanks!

Got a text from this number with an 1 877 number for a Walmart gift card and gas card.  - called and they wanted $2.00 on a visa or mastercard for shipping n handling of the "free" gift cards.  I refuse to give my info over the phone!!

I got the same Walmart gift card and gas card message this evening from this number about 830 pm eastern.  It really threw me as I had actually visited websites today I hadn't been to before.  These new visits were NOT family websites, so I thought it possible I had picked up a worm or something.  Although this sounds harmless, I'll run a scan anyway.

Kudos to whoever came up with this site!  Very helpful.

i just deleted it straight up.  I didn't visit any websites and leave my #.   it is random spam.  No way am i giving my credit card info!

Tired of their sms scams each time a different number looks like a random Internet service and the same respond number 8667149978
