I just got a call & didn't answer either based off this site. I'm glad too.

I?ve received three calls from 408-550-1693 in the past 10 days or so. The third time I answered the phone and when they asked for me, I asked who was calling (twice); I didn?t get an answer from the person on the other end so I hung up. When I called the number back, the answering message was in another language. I was looking forward to giving them a piece of my mind ? no satisfaction.

Got a call from the same number...caller i.d. said "congratulations"...never went to voice mail.

Called and I didn't pick it up since I didn't recognize the number. I usually let the answering machine pick it up when I don't know the number and let them start talking to see if it's something important or someone I know. Nothing but dead air. Caller ID said SSI. Obviously a scammer

The message said CHARITY on the caller ID. The guy asked for me personally. I said he was not here. He then asked for the lady or man of the house. He said he was from a firefighters assoc.  Obviously he was looking for a donation for his association. I just hung up. In addition, he called me at 8:35am.

Just got a call from this number and it said Barlett Inc.  I did not answer.  Tey did leave a voice mail message (that was partially cut-off by my answering maching machine message).  The message was something about reducing my credit card interest, and to press 1 to talk to a live operator.

You've got it right there Sam! These are actually the "card services" scammers calling, and they are the lowest of the lowlifes --- mostly all drug addicts trying to cheat us to support their habits.

Maybe once a week, occasional incoming call during the day. No message recorded, just a hang-up. My phone ID's it as [Barlett Inc]...this is a just a low-life scammer group of losers.

The card services scammers are all druggies trying to cheat us to pay for their next fix.The scammer who called you likely passed out before he could respond to your answering.

Just received a call from Barlett inc. 408-550-1658.  Said hello.  Waited almost 15 seconds and heard noting.  I hung up.

Received a telemarketing call from this number today in violation of the Federal Do Not Call list.

I got a call from this # 408-550-1658, to my cell, unknown to me so I didn't answer. They left no message.

It' the "card services" scammers trying to get your credit card number. BEWARE of these drug addicts trying to cheat you to support their disgusting habit!

Received two calls from this number- one at 8:31 AM, the second at 8:35 AM. No message left either time.

Called me, but no voice mail when I didn't answer.

Just got a call from this number and it said Barlett Inc.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Recorded message. It was "Heather" calling from my credit card company. Apparently there wasn't anything wrong, but they wanted to talk to me about it. Yes, there is something wrong, seeing as I don't have a credit card....

I received a call from this number on 3/5. I didn't answer.

On 3/6, Petco (in California), a pet supply store, left me a voice message and asked me to confirm my order. As I hadn't ordered anything from Petco, I called my credit card company and found out that there was indeed a pending Petco charge of $76 on my credit card. The card was cancelled and a new one was mailed to me.

I then called the person at Petco who had left me the voice message. She told me that the $76 order was suspicious (didn't say why) and that was why she had initially called me. She told me that whoever placed the order knew my credit card number, my phone number (home and cell #s), and my home address.

I suspect that whoever called me from 408 550-1658 already had my credit card number and was seeking personal information needed to open accounts under my name, and with my credit card number. Even though I did not answer that call, someone was able to get my credit card number and personal information. So, if you received a call from this number, it's possible that your credit card number has been stolen.

Got a call from this number on a cell that darned few people have ever been given the number to.  I didn't answer, they left no message

This number called me and didn't leave a voice message and had no caller ID other than their number.  

When I receive calls like this I immeditaly report them to my State Attorney General (AG) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  Both have online compliant forms AND WILL INVESTIGATE.  

If you do have credit cards, just tell them you will get back to them.  Hang up.  Look at the back of your credit card and call the 800# on the back of that card.  Give them the phone number of the caller that contacted you and name if you got one and ask them to go over your most recent transactions that posted.  The bank that issued your your card has a fraud investigation unit that works closely with the AG, FTC and local law enforcement.  The majority of the time you don't have to do anything other than these reporting steps.  

NEVER GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION ON YOUR CARDS, BANK ACCOUNTS OR ANY PERSONAL IDENTIFY INFORMATION.

I called them back was prompted to press any digit to be added to the do not call list....time to file a complaint since my number is already on the national do not call list

I just received a call from 408-550-1658. They didn't leave a message. Caller ID was "San Jose, CA"

I just received a call from this number googled it and got this messages here. I called it back and it said press any number to be added to the DO NOT CALL LIST then lots of beeping.HMMM

Multiple calls, no message left, and when I answer they hang up.

Three days in a row, shortly before 9:00 am, to land line. First time, no message left; next two times I pounced and answered, and there was no one at the other end.

Barlett Inc.  Offering to lower credit card rates.  I pressed 1 to speak to a person and told them I am on the national do not call list.  They hung up on me immediately.  Called back - and got the message to press any number to be added to the do not call list.  A very shady firm.

This call came in on my both my cell numbers, no caller ID so did not answer...that and I'm also on DNC list.
Was pretty sure it was a telemarketer of sorts and glad I checked here to verify that feeling.
