They said I was approved for A loan,when they posted on my account I checked it,it wasn't there.

they greeted me with the specific religious greeting in my home-country's accent. I hung up because it sounded like they were calling from a VOIP line. Creepy!!!

Answered and was hung up on. Called # back and it did not ring but phone said I was connected to the number.  There was no response when I asked if anyone was there either.

This creep calls our office every night 2 times about 5 minutes apart. It goes to the machine since we are closed at that time.
Never a message. They hit hard for about a month and then back off for a few weeks. I been here three years. He doesn't wait long enough.
I did the do not call Button #1 Sorry to say, it doesn't work.
It just confirms they have a viable hit.
This guy pissed me off so bad. I went to the do not call registry, through FCC, and reported the number also.
If he calls after the next 28 days, I will turn that number in again!!.
FCC will go after them then.
Sadly the truth is,, they will just get another number.
Out side US, should not be aloud to get a US number. This is the grubby phone companies doings.
Any one that can control this doesn't seem to give a crap...
They just want our money every month.. First get on the do not call list, then Complain to FCC, Then phone company. It takes up to 31 days.
That do not call number also works for cell phones. Haven't gotten a telemarketer on it in over a year, and it is good for 5 years.
If you complain loud enough they will hear us.
They will get tired of listening to us and stop it.
Kind of like the I-Phone and all turned on at once. It Shut-em down.

They have called me several times. They ask for me by my first name- I tell them I don't take solicitation phone calls and hang up- but today the man started screaming at me and asking do I not know what call backs are....hmmm...charming....

GOVGRANTS.com Making Random and RUDE Calls to People Pitching Fake Grants/Loans and Posing as Phony Debt Collectors, too

This BBB received a report from a Brazil, IN woman stating she got a call from the above number stating they wanted her routing # so they could give her a $5,000 grant. She said NO. They stated they were from WA State, but didn?t specify. The IN woman stated that when she said NO they were instantly rude and started cursing her out.

At www.bbb.org, this 408# takes you to a BBB report about fake collection calls misusing the name US Cash Advance, a legitimate and good-standing company. According to reports received by BBB, this number is connected to a variety of scams. In this particular case, the scammers using this # were attempting an advance loan scam.

In other cases regarding this number, the scammers accuse the victim of defaulting on a payday loan and claim they are being sued. The phony debt collector threatens that, if the victim doesn?t pay as much as $1,000 immediately via wire or by providing bank account or credit card numbers, he or she will be arrested. The scammers often have the victim?s Social Security, old bank account numbers or driver?s license numbers as well as home addresses, employer information and even the names of personal friends and professional references.

BBB is unable to locate the persons responsible for these calls.

BBB offers the following advice to consumers if they receive a suspicious telephone call about advance fee loan/grant offers:


? Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
? File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online if the caller is abusive, uses threats or otherwise violates federal telemarketing laws.
? File a complaint with BBB if you believe a loan agent is trying to scam you.

Recieved three calls from this number this evening, but didn't answer because I don't know any one by this name. I get a lot of calls from this type of idiots, trying to sell drugs and they are all of idian decent. Some say they are with Global pharmacy, some say online pharmacy, but they all want to know if I want any medication's. Controlled substance medications. I've told them that I'm on the DO NOT CALL list but it has no effect, they call several times a day, everyday except Sunday and this has been going on for about three years now. They have cussed me, and I'm sick and tired of the little indian's.

I have received numerous calls from this number, and when I ask who they are they refuse to say, or when I ask to be removed from this number this get very rude.

called at 4:30pm, do not normally answer unknown callers but wife picked up...no one there so she hung up so no idea who they are or what they want, will disregard this number in the future.

I'm getting calls from both this number 408-587-2163 (Salinas, CA) and 208-621-2025 (Lapwai, ID) - it is the same person.  He is rude and can not speak english... They have called from these combined two numbers 9 times in the last 5 minutes - when I answer they either hang up or speak to me in broken english I cannot understand...  I NEED CALL BLOCK!

These callers somehow have acquired our information (everything from SS, employer, bank) from filling out on line applications for things such as pay day loans.  It was very scary.
First they called and said I had a court date the next day, but I could settle by paying over the phone.
When I was put through to the "supervisor" ha,  he said I owed on a payday loan and they would be calling my employer.
One thing I realized, was that if I said "I'd like to take care of this", they would start talking to me again.

I get calls from this number pretty frequently and cannot understand what the guy is saying at all! I think these folks are calling from India and figure since I have an Indian last name would be interested in their crap. I have a whistle that I use, except its SUPER loud since it's made for search and rescue.  One good blow of the whistle into these idiots ears is all it takes.  I heard the guy yell in agony as a billion decibels hit his eardrums! LOL! Let's see if these jerks will call again.  ;-)

A very rude male satrted talking to my daughter about some type of medicine he said I ordered and wanted all my personal info.  She hung up but he calle back 3 more times.

they called me twice early this morning and i didn't answer but my dad in a different state (we are not on the same phone plan or anything) got a call this morning and answered from the same phone number and they said it was the Broward County (Florida) Police Dept and he asked for visitation rights. He got freaked out like I was in jail

my son got the call on his cell i called number from my ll and got an answering machine 2 minutes later they called to tell me they are looking for someone we dont even know and address themselves as police officers surely some can help with this

Called twice within 10 minutes...no message either time.  I called the number and got a recording that if I didn't want to receive future calls about their promotions, press #1 to be put on their do not call list.  Interesting.

THEY ARE TELEMARKETERS. DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBERS TO MARKETING AGENCIES. ONCE THEY HAVE IT YOU WILL GET THESE CALLS. TRUST ME HOW I KNOW IS THAT THEY CALL ME AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS. IT IS SO ANNOYING. CALLED NUMBER BACK THIS SPECIFIC NUMBER AND THEY GAVE ME THE OPTION TO PRESS #1 TO STOP GETTING THESE CALLS. LETS SEE IF IT REALLY WORKS. BUT I DOUBT IT.

Let ring to VM.  No message left.  First time call.

They appear on my caller ID as "TRRUVOIZ".

Caller pretended to be a member of a bank whose name I could not make out after asking him to repeat it, "X Trust X Bank". He made up something about seeing that we had a mortgage, which we don't. After being confronted with this, he hung up.

call and ask for me by name,but hung up before i could get to the phone,   i called the number back that was on my caller id and was greeted by a answering machine.  with all the money we pay the phone companies, can't we get some protection from these fraudulent calls

At my work today we recieved 2 calls from this number. the caller was rude to girl that answered them he hung up then called again and I answered he asked for a person by name and when I asked for him to repeat what he said and he replied with a vulgar coment about my voice and asked a vulgar question about my breast. I of course I immediatly hung up on him

Male caller.  Asked to speak to the wife.  I asked him to state is business.
English was broken.  Could not understand what he was saying.  You ask him a question and he would get confused.  I asked him if there were anyone there that could speak good english.   Asked if I could understand Spanish.
Line went dead.  Another good canidate for call block.

They called me, and did not talk. Then I called back and they said "Thank you for calling back, if you would like to be taken off of our call list, please press 1." I didn't press anything, so they said if I would press 1 it would take 72 hours before I get off of the list. I looked up the area code of 408, and it is in California. Then I looked up the whole entire number and it lead me to this site.
