left a message but i couldnt hear it. My recomendation is to never answer a call if you dont know who is calling most of the time is is a scam the rest of the time it is a bill collector and you dont want to talk to them anyway

The need to stop calling my number. i always remove my number. yet i still get phone calls and so does my 16 year. stop calling!!!!

Be sure that when they call you to use the words "extortion", "illegal representation of a debt" and "statute of limitations". They will freakout and hang up. If you arm yourself with knowledge, then you WILL win.

Also? Report them to the better business beureu. They REALLY enjoy going after people like this.

I got a call on my husbands phone and I called this lady back on my phone sounded like she was taking care of a bunch of kids at home. She had a nasty voice.This voice was quite fimiluar.
I hung up Gave myself a few second's called back I heard this yup!

that is weird cuz i live in milpitas california nd that is the area code for milpitas...weird cuz milpitas has like no more than 55,000 people and they usually dont do anything this dumb

They are a mock collection agency trying to collect "so-called" debts from magazine companys that were put out of business by the FTC for deceptive practices. If you ask for "proof of the debt" thay say they can't give it to you until you give them your info. They have no proof of anything. Don't give them anything. Tell them to google the number they are calling from and tell them you are reporting them to your States Attorney General, the FTC and Consumer Affairs.
People who have been harassed by them, have taken them to court and won upwards of $4,500.

Called and left no message. Called back and got nothing. Attempted to retry to look them up. Reported to FBI and FTC. Glad i googled it.

I'm glad I looked this number up on google. I didn't know who they were so i didn't answer the phone. I have a habit of looking up numbers I don't recognize on the net to make sure the number is legit. Thanks for posting.

Have been receiving calls from these people for over a month.  Called 4 times today.  Called them back, told them to remove my number.  They called again.  Told person on phone will report yhese harassing calls.

These people have been calling me every day, each day they ask for a different person so i stoped answering!  I have NEVER ordered magazines and 1 person said i owed money for magazines for an address that i lived at over 10 years ago.

I have received several calls from this number and would appreciate that they would not contact me again.

Found the government website where you can report phone scam calls. Visit FTC.GOV and do a search for phone scams. It will guide you through the process of reporting the scam.

They've called me two consecutive days in a row. Who do you call to have them reported? This is ridiculous.

Said I have a debt to a magazine of "International Reading League of San Diego", Never heard of that magazine company and never subscribed to it, said I owed $600 but they'll settle for $199, uhm Googled the magazine company nowhere to be found on the internet. Company called from same nubmer claiming that if I took a 10 question survey that I would win 2 boarding passes to the Bajamas. Don't give any info to these people.

This is Luebke Baker and Associates, a scam collection agency calling aboug bogus magazine "debt" that you never incurred. Do not give them any info.

Calls but doesn't leave a message. I don't answer the calls because I don't live in that area code and don't answer the call because I don't know the number.

I have been getting calls from these people from numerous numbers.  They call at least 7 times a day!  I gave up answering after no one ever being on the line when I do pick up.  Here's the list of numbers they've called from so far....408-587-2178(ncomplete data), 432-897-0948, 213-363-5150(data mismatch), 561-948-8090(return call), 309-689-9037(Luebke Baker Asso)...I know there's one more but I can't find it.  These are all from the same place and they seem to rotate several days with them.  3 days from one, then 3 days from another and so on.  It's freakin' ridiculous!

they are very persistent...i think they work with other scammers(magazine sales)...they had me as owing for 13 subscriptions for 5 years...total of 4 thousand plus dollars...how could i possibly get to read 13 mags a month, never ordered them and do nor intend to pay for them...someone needs to address these type of people...who continue to rip off the working class (used to be the middle class).!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people are quite persistant! They call my cell phone about 4 times a day and each time I never answer and they never leave a voice mail. I tried to get some info on them and they are a total scam! If they are true debt collectors, then tell my why they don't report it on credit reports!? (for real! I found that out on a website) Do not give these people any information about yourself!

They have been calling me from different numbers and never leaves any messeges.  They will stick with one number for a few days then switch to antoher for a few days.  Here are some number they have called me from: 408-587-2178, 562-288-7167, 800-258-6587, 760-526-8174, 213-363-5150.  These are just numbers they have been calling me on for the last two weeks.  This  is supposably their web address: http://www.lba93.com/. I have never answered when they call but I have called back these numbers using a different phone.  When you call them someone just picks up and says "hello" (real companys dont do that).  Once I called and asked who they were, the person gave me her name. I then asked what company this was and she got flustered and hung up.  One time I told them that they were calling me several times a day and they asked for my information so they could look me up in their computers... I told them no hung up the phone.  One time I called they said they would transfer me and they hung up.  One time when they put me on hold to look up a fax number I requested, the phone rang and then went to an unusual answering machine.  
I went to this website http://www.expertlaw.com/library/consumer/fair_debt_collection.html#7 and faxed this letter to them yesterday requestiong they discontinue calling me.  I stated in the letter that they could contact me through mail. ( I did not give them my mailing address. I figue if they really have a debt to collect they will have axcess to my mailing address without me giving it to them)  I have not gotten any phone calls from them yet today... we'll see.

Called for the first time today. I do not pick up unknown numbers.
