Text msg to my cell. Legitimate financial institutions do not use a third party company to validate credit/debit card or personal info. This is obviously a scam/phising scheme.

I got some messages for the past three days, surprisingly, none on the week end. I called the number, some one attended the call and no voice could be heard. I called from my office number, else, would have been in trouble.
I checked the FTC and FCC sites, and we cannot post these as issues. its more for non provision of service and Identity theft.
Resource one has the answer that they have all the details, and that its a scam going around, and asked me to not to call.

I got the same text, this is the third one in 2 days. It says
Resource One Credit Union has deactivated my Debit card. I dont have a credit union so I called them to ask and they stated it was a scam that was going around.
I also called my cell phone provider told them and gave them the address its coming from and they blocked those addresses from texting my phone, but today I just got a new one from a new address (ztfxdd@r1cu.org) and a new number to call to reactivate 408-654-7683.
These low lifes are really starting to p!ss me off.

I got the same message on 3 of my Sprint account phones. Other phone numbers I was instructed to call were 214-644-0107 and 323-212-3151. Sprint said to forward the text messages to abuse@messaging.sprintpcs.com.

Have recieved 3 texts in 2 days. Just called Resource one, they wanted the numbers that the scammers wanted me to call. Do not call the number. Contact Resource One and report the numbers sent to you.
Resource One # is 214-319-3100

IMPORTANT - Some scammers have been targeting Sprint wireless numbers and sending these texts out, using real credit unions and bank names to sound legitimate. The banks/CC's are not sending these to you and would never ask for your personal info over the phone like this. Ignore these texts and report this to the FCC and FTC at the websites below. I called my local police department, but they said that until an actual crime has been committed, they can't do anything about these texts (so I have to give the scammers my debit card number and wait for them to steal money before the police can act). I've gotten four texts in the last two days with versions of the same info, but it is the same scammer, just changing the number they're using.

I have been getting messages from them for days. I called my local phone company and sent an email to the actual credit union. They were aware and of course said not to call the number. Already knew that.
I also have an anonymous email account and sent the senders of the text messages saying they have been reported.

I just got a call from someone saying Honolulu City and County Employees F.C.U. had deactivated my DebitCard. First off, I don't have a debit card. Secondly, I don't work for any faroff Hawaiian cities, or bank at any credit unions based there. And lastly, but not least-ly, even if all the before mentioned were true, they wouldn't be so crude as to -TEXT- me. They'd send me a letter using snail mail, not a stupid "oh-by-the-way'message. Don't believe it people! It's a scam! (or at least spam)
