got a call at 5:15 asking for patty

Got a call from this company and called me at my work....

got a call  2 times with this #

They called me today and telling me that their computer picked up my phone number randomly and they want to give me some free vacation package. When I told them that I'm not interested and they start asking why. I hang up the phone.

These people some kind of spam.

Called at 2:00 am. No message.

Called 4 times between 4:23 am and 4:28 am using 2 different phone numbers. The other telephone number reads: +91 11 2658 1060, which traces back to a fax machine at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Delhi, India. Go figure!

they called 10x in succession....quite irritating!!!!

Don't know who it is. But they call and listen to me saying "hello". This is getting really annoying.

408-715-4900 ID Service Provider.  Left no voicemail message.

408-715-4900 has called us about 2 dozen times in the last 1 hour. no one is on the other side of the call.

My relative called from mexico and this number appeared. its happened twice. So maybe the lines are getting crossed

I received a call at 11:50 PM on 7/6/08 and when I answered the call, someone on the other end hung up. This number (408) 715-4900, was where the call originated from. I felt threatened by the call because of the way someone just listened and then hung up. When I returned the call, the line was busy.

Got a call from them. The guy barely spoke English and said they were calling about our morgage...I tried to get what company they were from, but he wouldn't say caller ID said: Service Provider

I've been in company virtual meetings where this phone number has showed up and been used by persons legitimately invited to and participating in the meeting. I came here looking for the answer as well but now think that Mat has it right--this is a phone number reserved for caller-ID purposes when a VoIP call is coming through and one of the routers requires an ID. If the original caller has their ID blocked or it gets dropped along the way, then one of the routers along the way must pick from a number from a reserved bank of numbers that allow it to let the call go through. Sad that this means the telemarketers and scammers now have a new way to hide themselves while still getting through the devices setup to block them.

I have answering machine set to answer after six rings and this (bleep) stayed on till the bitter end but did not leave a message.  I expect many many more calls.  They don't get it until you report them to the FCC.  FCC has a great web page to report telemarketers at

408-715-4900, They call us all the time, even the early morning! Can anyone stop them?

Also when I called it back a couple of times it takes a few minutes to connect and then it goes to a busy signal

I work remote from home and a call from this number came through the "Q" and when I answered the first time I lost the call. A minute or 2 later that number came in again and when I answered it there was a recording saying "to accept this collect call press" and I hung up. Where in the world is this number coming from and calling collect no less???

This number calls and leaves no message.  I never pick it up

My elderly mom answered this call and they said they were from the American Money orporation. She has been scammed with these foreign lottery calls.

I got a call from 408-715-4900 twice, first showing the ID and second time (immediately) without the ID.   I chose not to pick up the phone because I did not recognise the number.

Calls 4-5 times a day/night, and I want him to quit!

Hi!

Always when my Girlfriend in Germany calls me, I see this number or 4082760000 on my cell...
So this is only a routed number...
I don't know why this number appears on my cell... maybe the local telephone company uses VoIP and in this Area is a centrum over which the calls go back to the landline or whatever...

So it's no company which teases us!
