Dont know what this company is, it says Five 9on ID

caller id says Five 9, they keep hanging up.   Call back and it says to please hold, no answer then.

aug. 14 @1:39 p.m. got a call that said id was FIVE 9.  wasn't at home and no message was left.  i did not call back.  glad to read these comments.  the number called from was 1-408-834-8059

It is the reverse phone call companies.  They are advertising and hook you into paying for the phone number search.

Received a call today in the middle of the day in working hours from the same #, and didn't return the call. I hadn't ordered anything from the web sight telebrands.com before but did order from a infomercial recently and one of the free gifts was an article listed on the web sight. I ordered the pedipaws and the free gift was the shed ender which was the item on the sight. Guess that's how they got my number.

checked the web sites contact page and a different number is shown.  Makes me wonder if the person who called you guys, is fraudulent. Real site appears to be in Fairfield, NJ 07004 area code 973 area code, apparently different from the call you got. Number never called me it was a lead from another complainer.

Could you folks please leave your phone numbers with your blog entries? This way we can present all the numbers to the national do not call enforcement group, and have this company taken care of.

I have been getting this call for a few days now.  I ordered the ped egg and I got it a few days ago.  that's when the calls started.

So I just called them back after reading this thread and the woman answered and said "May I speak to *insert name*" and I said this was her and then before she could say anything I said "Can you please take my name and number o ff of your calling list" and she said she would put me on the DNC list and I never had to hear her speel lol.  so hopefully they really did take my number off the list.

i just got a call from this number, from telebrands. i did not answer and called back from another number. i said i want to be out on their do not call list. the man said, "do you know where you are calling?" and i said, "yes, telebrands or five9" and he then had me give my name & number. i hope this does not make it worse. we will see if it makes it stop.

I am on the Do Not Call List and this phone called me yesterday at 1:04 PM.  I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.  Then later in the afternoon I got a call from another unrecognized number and I didn't answer it either.

They called me on an item I had cancelled (PedEgg)not too sure what the call was I actually called back and she knew who I was without my saying anything but "hello"
Kinda weird. Rude also that they would not leave a message since they were quite willing to talk when I called.

It is telebrands, i had ordered the ped egg also.  they try to offer you different offers, one is matching earrings and necklace, then every 60 days you will recieve a new matching necklace and earrings or they will offer the "deluxe ped egg".  what a scheme they have going!!  Just refuse everything and you will recieve what u ordered and that's it.

I'm pretty sure it's from odering a product online that I saw advertised in an ad. I could tell by the annoyance of having to jump through hoops and pass on a dozen other offers just to make the purchase that there would be some telemarking conglomerate calling to tell me about great deals on products.

Same comment as everyone else.   I have had 4 calls in the last 2 weeks.

I have a call screener that blocks numbers by area code, number, etc. and also rejects anonymous calls. It uses my phone company caller ID service to determine if the call goes through (my phone doesn't ring if the call is blocked by the device). While checking to see who had called, the above number came up. My phone never rang and they were treated to disconnect tones since I do not authorize the 408 area code. This device was a great investment.

I always figured the Do Not Call list was just giving someone a valid number TO call, so I never signed up for it.

I've been on the No Call List ever since I was first able to get on it.
It makes me soo angry how many of these people find ways to get around it.
I've now got call blocker. I've got one company that has called from 3 different numbers.  I just ordered getagrip, and haven't even recieved it yet. Sounds like I'll have to block this number too! I shouldn't have to do that.

recieved a call from this # caller ID said from Five 9 which is Telebrands  a marketing company, they sell things on tv like the pedegg which I  had ordered.They did not leave a message and so I called them back after reading all these messages, they say please hold and I was disconnected 3x finallly on 4th try a person answered and called me by name and said pedegg was on it's way and wanted to send me earrings i immediately said no and they hung up.I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

I got a call from this number too.  I answered and there was no response.  I Googled and this site came up.  I too bought a Getagrip.  I  am disgusted at these shady tactics.  I don't even want that Getagrip anymore and will return it upopened as what they don't tell you till you check out on the Web site is "would you like an upgraded Getagrip that lights up when the suction has run out for an extra $10 per order?" WTF??  In other words, "do you want a Getagrp that's not going to accidentally kill you."

Called cell phone, which is registered on the National Government's Do Not Call list.  Did not answer the phone, did not leave message.  2:55 CST.

Also ordered something from them a week ago but did not answer the call when it came through about fifteen minutes ago (2pm).  Was curious who was calling and googled the number - found this blog.  I will definitely NOT answer the phone if they call again based on the other experiences noted here.  Thanks for sharing!

I did not answer when cellphone rang. No message was left. I called the number 10 minutes later. Lady answered saying my name. Was trying to get hold of me about my Telebrands order of Getagrip. Yes, that's correct, said I. Then she quickly goes on to say I'll get order soon and gives a sales pitch in a sly kind of way to examine a necklace but keep earrings for free. She says my credit card will be charged fifty some dollars but I can send back and cancel. This would automaticly occur each month. She says all this in such a way as to assume you're happy to do it. If you don't pay  attention, you miss what she is really saying. At the end I had to say 'I decline' three different times. She was not pleased. I'm going to make sure I am never charged again on my card by them.

got a call from this number aat midday when I was sleeping. They did not leave a message and callback did not help.

Caller woke me up.  I have a VERY hard time falling asleep due to medical problem.  This has happened to me in the past and I have gone to the trouble to change my number.  This is getting EXPENSIVE!
I won't however be doing this again because I am on a fixed income.

Got and missed call from 408-754-5553 this morning.  My caller ID says "Unknown".  Out of curiosity, since I have acquaintances in the 408 area code, I called back to see who called me.  I got a recording saying to hold and they'll connect me.  Then the call ended.  Nice to see that it was only a telemarketer and I need be concerned no longer.

I have been receiving calls from 408-754-5553 and when I tried to call it back it says"I'm Sorry but your call can not be completed at this time" I am also on the NO CALL LIST. How do we get this stopped?

I am like the others I received a call on 02/11/08 at3:16pm and the caller ID also says Five 9. I have ordered items off of the TV in the past so I guess if you all say this caller is from a company like that then they must be a third party of theirs. However I also reported my number to the DO NOT CALL list, and it really doesn't work that good cause I still get telemarketers and they say they have up to 9pm to call. I hate that they call on Sundays. That's the worst day to call a person. But I hope something is done about this.

The number is for Telebrands Company. It is one of the companies that market items on television commercials.

I didn't order anything off TV and I still get calls from these people.  They won't leave any caller ID or company name.  I guess that way you can't turn them to the proper authorities.

I ordered a PediPaws and I got a call at 8:30AM this morning from FIVE 9.
I'm going to try to cancel my order. The extra fees are almost more than the price of the object
