Yep, I just got the text message, too.  And my service still charges me for text.  This was unsolicited and cost me money.  Is this legal?  If it cost me money then they should have to pay since I ONLY use this phone for family and volunteer work and they would not have given my number.  So how did these marketing scum get my info?  And how do we go about making them pay for/reimburse the cost of their unwelcome text?
I am on disability so for those of you who want to jump on my case for "whining" about cost... believe me... especially in this economy... EVERY penny counts.
I tried calling it back via Google-voice but it just came back after a few rings with a prerecorded message stating that this number has a mailbox but that it had not been set up yet.  Real professional.  Can you say SCAM?

I have received 2 unsolicited text messages from this number. ON Nov 11, 2010 I received a message about a $900 payday loan. Today (Nov. 22, 2010) I received a message about buying a home security system. I have tried replying with STOP twice and also QUIT. I am trying to find out how to file a complaint. This is a SCAM for sure.

I am on the Do Not Call Registry: http://answers.usa.gov/system/selfservice.con ... E=en&COUNTRY=US

If you register your phone number, you can then go and report companies that continue to call you or send text messages.  They can be fined for violation of the law that established the registry.

Scammers bogus website: 123moneynow.Inc
Here you are supposed to be able to unsubscribe, contact, and call an 800 number to find out how they got your number. Of course none of then work, there is no contact info and the 800# is not in service!

I'm in Mississippi and I got the txt too.  Except it was to my Verizon number which I only use for wireless high speed internet and consequently, it cost me .20 for the received txt.  I called Verizon but they didn't want to remove the text charge.  I am currently with ATT and I can say that they always offer to remove any unwanted txt or phone calls charges.  Was about to change all my phones to Verizon but since they are so greedy I will just stay with ATT.  Anyways, they did put a txt messaging block on my account and that will solve the problem but I feel like everyone else....how do we stop these unsolicited txt?  Ahhh the power of the cyberworld.

Yea this is bull crap! Who the heck gave these guys my number. The message reads " Need extra holiday cash? You qualify for a payday loan up to $900.00, Receive loan within 1 hour. No credit check required. Reply "payday" for more information."

Like come on really? First off just the thought of getting a "loan" over text message seems sketchy enough but a measly 900.00 loan at that? In today's economy what would $900.00 get anyone besides a full tank of gas for once?

I don't use my cell phone # for anything online. All I know is that I had a fender bender a couple of months ago and had a police report done...a few days later I receive about 10 solicitations for attorneys and chiropractors... I did not realize that police reports are public information until the attorneys where sending me solicitations with copy's of my police report..... OMG

I just got the same text message as you all.  I also get charged for my text messages.  How rude!  Not sure what to do about it, as I don't know who's sending the text.  I just went on my Virgin Mobile account and blocked that number. They won't be texting me any longer, but it still bugs me that they're doing it.  I am on the DNC list with my cell & home number.  Amazing that these dopes get away with this stuff.

I got a text tonight for the same "you qualify for cash"  called VERIZON to report and they were not helpful.  Offered to credit me for the text.   THAT IS NOT THE POINT!!!!!  How do we stop this type of unsolicited text and phone calls?  Obviously we can't rely on our providers for assistance!
