Just got a call from 408-880-6299 but I rejected answering because of the kind people above me who relayed their experience.
I get these calls all the time.  It seems companies ignore "Do Not Call" lists now, and there's no more enforcement.

Caller wanted to verify wife's address + information to send her a new "Medicare Card".  Three such calls in three days from different unidentified numbers.  Here is no such thing as a Medicare card.  Don't these idiots know that?  Not only fraudulent but dumb, too.

This company phoned me and asked for me by full name. I asked what they wanted and they just repeated they wanted to speak to brenda r. when I asked who they were they hung up.  When I try to call the number all I get is if you do not want them to call press #1.  What happened to the do not call list?  I am being bombarded by these kind of people by mail in the last two months now phone calls without idetification. If you look them up on the net everyone wants yo to pay for a lookup #. This show you these days how greedy people are and how deceptive.

Caller ID said it was a California cellphone.  They told my husband they knew that we had more than 10K in credit card debt. I assume that they were going to try and offer some sort of debt consolidation or loan program but after my husband said he doesn't use his credit cards, his wife does, they hung up on him! For all I know they were a scam looking to steal personal information
