Called, no message - probably a robo-call.

I ALWAYS file a formal, online complaint, EVERY TIME a telemarketer calls, even if no message is left.

called Sept 9th - called was blocked - my Panasonic phone did not even ring.

Got a call about refinancing my mortgage (I don't have one) at about 8 PM  Pacific Standard Time.  Robo call. Going to look into blockers.

These jerks keep on calling. Some idiots must be buying the "services" or "repairs" that they are peddling.

My call came at 724 pm - looks like one minute after they called you.  They hung up right after the part of my machine's recording that says we don't talk to telemarketers! Caller ID said "out of area"

9/10 19:23 And the hits keep just keep coming!  So many calls, so little time.  Give me a break already.  Had a really rotten day and don't want to deal this crap this late in the day.  Registered on voicemail but no message or even dead air.

I agree with you. If you ever have the time, and since you know that they deserve it, just lead them down the garden path like they would lead you. After much frustration, I have found this refreshing tonic. If I'm in a hurry, I ignore or hang up immediately on these callers, but if I have time, I really enjoy messing with their heads.

Just in case the poor phone worker is an innocent victim of no other job, I'm never rude (per se) but am always willing to seem a tad insane, dull, naive, well, I use my IMAGINATION. I know there is that "do not call" list that does only so much good. But I am now, personally convinced that I am on the "REALLY do not call list because once I started to really enjoy these calls, and consider taping them for the amusement of others, I swear, they stopped calling.
Now I have a new number, which is the only way I know to get them to start calling again and am really excited that these people are hopefully going to call again because I pressed the right key to talk to somebody but we were abruptly disconnected. :-(

My phone can block numbers in which among others, I've blocked,, but they still keep calling...it will ring once then give the busy sound to the blocked caller,, you would think they would give up,, but no they must be pretty stupid!

Got a call two times on August 21 and August 27.

Am a day sleeper and these knuckleheads keep calling about selling some sort of household services, home loans to be exact.  Have asked them to stop calling since I am a day sleeper. They called again tonight at 7PM  Next time I will have them send a salesman and have Bruno, English Bull Mastiff, deal with them.

Another unwanted sales call, that hangs up. I try to call back, no one answers, and it says the customer's voice mail account is not activated.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE!!!!!!  You need to realize that the Do Not Call list DOES work with LEGITIMATE numbers.  It DOES NOT work with Telemarketers, Robo calls, and scammers.  Unfortunately, in this wonderful ( I DO mean that!!) world of technology, these scumbags can use practically ANY NUMBER THEY WANT!!!  You can find these numbers on the internet yourself!  They can also use any Caller ID they want. I've even had some without area codes!  (How do they do that???!!!)
The best thing you can do is take a few deep breaths, calm down, and go on Amazon and buy yourself a call blocker.  I bought the T-Lock Incoming Call Blocker ($60) because the Digitone ($93) was not available. (back in stock 8/31/13).  The main difference between the two is that the Digitone will hang up on blocked numbers after one ring, whereas the T-Lock just keeps your phone from ringing (doesn't hang up). The downside to the Digitone is that it only blocks eighty numbers.  Well, I've had 80 calls in the last 2 months!!  The downside to T-Lock is that it only blocks the ring on the phone it is hooked up to.  Your other phone(s) will ring once and stop.  They say the T-Lock will hold 1,000 numbers.......I am up to 300 already!!
So, folks, stop complaining that "I'M ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!!!"  No one is listening!!!  Decide if you want to keep complaining (PLEASE STOP!) or buck up and treat yourself to a call blocker.  It's worth your sanity!!

I get many of these same types of call, including this one. I do one of two things, I most of the time let it go to the machine, where I have a message telling them that if they are scammers, telemarketers that I am on the DNC list and they will be reported and or fined, which makes little difference since many of these scammers are spoofing the calling number anyway, probably using something like Google Voice on a PC. Try calling some back, you'll often get a, "The number you're calling does not exist, " message or something to that affect. Making the DNC agency a paper tiger, USELESS.

Other times I will mute my phone and answer immediately hang up. Or if I want to play with them, answer with my thumb over the transmitter of the phone, and just stay silent not saying one word. They will usually hang up>>LOL.

Received a call with this number.  The Caller ID showed the name as "Unavailable".  I picked up the phone and said hello but the caller hung up. What a b*****d !!.  I have been noticing lately that telemarketers have been using "Private Number" or "Unavailable" as their names.  This way their company cannot be reported as violating laws against unsolicited telemarketers.
